  1. My old 1.2 clio maxed out at 115MPH (private road of course), the Zed sails past there in the blink of an eye in comparison!
  2. Good result. Happy camper again. Indeedy
  3. Yup, get the weight out of there and it will help. If not Adam@Z1auto has supplied loads of people with uprated struts as well as Envy
  4. Good stuff mate Whoever gets them on first can write the guide
  5. I think black wheels and maybe some black screws to hold the kit on would look excellent. Dont try and hide the screws it wont work as said before, make a feature of them. Maybe some anodised black hex Probolts (not sure if they do self tappers though if thats what you need)
  6. Iteresting to see how you get on chap, K-sport get good writeups from the Evo crowd. Its that BBK specifically sized for the Zed? I ask as a few years ago I read an article from StopTech saying about how they did weeks of testing different sized disc/callipers to sort out their BBK to keep the balance right. Interesting to see the front and rear discs are the same size as I think other kits are staggered. Maybe as its 8 pot vs 6 pot it keeps the stagger in power.

    filter?

stichy: What are you trying to achieve by swapping it? Its been widely proven that the stock airbox has more than enough flow for the car to take, even when tuned (bar FI of course!). So if you want performance then dont bother swapping it at all. If you want noise, then short ram intakes (popcharger etc) are the noisiest, but suffer from a bit of heat soak when stationary. CAI elimitate this, but some say the extra length adds extra resistance to the intake charge which slows it down and flows less. Dont know if thats true. Fortunately though being an import, there is no washer bottle for you to remove if you want to fit a CAI.
  8. I vote for Mark to give it a go and report back the results TBH once you are moving the diffence in the different intakes isnt that much. Static and dyno testing arent real life, they dont have as much airflow as the car gets when really moving. I see this every time it gets warm as on the dyno my popcharger has major heat soak but once moving on the open road the temps drop right down again. Anyway, we digress. I think both the aforementioned intakes are pretty much the same so get the one that looks the nicest or is the cheapest
  9. Definately worth the money. I had a set off Phil and a set of CS and Amanda had a set on her corsa. Oh that reminds me, Mitz, can you get a set to fit an 09 SEAT Ibiza? They have those OEM flat wiper blades on atm and they suck! Juddering all over the place, she wants to PIAA ones but didnt know if they did the flat ones or even some to fit?
  10. Our other traders also sell these (CS for example). Post up in the wanted section, see who does it cheapest and get it off them, and make sure they have it in stock first
  11. Nice one chap, looks great. Going to see if I can grab a copy at lunch!
  12. As said by the others, we like most Zeds here, from highly track oriented to highly modified show cars. You wont please everyone, but everyone can appreciate the effort taken. The traders on here will be more than happy to help out sourcing kit for you project too
  13. Its on the way home Chris Tis true, but Amanda doesnt have the holiday to cover it
  14. No worries bud. The Carnetix PSU is a DC-DC converter that allows you to power the CarPC and accessories (monitor, USB hub etc) in safety, knowing you wont fry anything when the engine is cranked (it can produce quite high voltages then and fry stuff). They can be quite expensive, but very worth while. Check out their site - http://carnetix.com/ - and to get them in the UK LinIXT sell them. Oh it also allows startup and shutdown functions which are very handy. I have a 2140 PSU
  15. Looks like you have a great turn out guys! Shame I cant make it because of the hoon
  16. Not seen that before! I run mine off a CarPC PSU (Carnetix). I suggest if you are doing the CarPC thing too that you do the same. It saves the components from being overdriven when the engine is started. You can also get a connector for the Carnetix to power a lilliput
  17. £90 I paid £30 to have mine done. I guess if that works out cheaper than getting a local place to do it all then its all good still
  18. Looks like a cracking road (litterally in parts I take it? ). Great pics
  19. Falkens 452's for me +1 +2 : they are a nice balance of perfomance and cost. Michellin PS's are the way to go if you have loads of dosh
