  1. Wouldnt worry about it mate. You'll be ok upto ~85MPH on the clock usually as long as you were driving ok, leaving a decent gap to the car in front.
  2. As the others have said, if its just SS then autosol/Megs NXT polish will bring it up lovely with a bit of elbow grease. I would wait for someone to confirm its just SS though. I seem to remember a thread a while back about someone starting to polish their tips (actually might have been talking to the member at a meet) and it started to "go off". We decided that it had been plated with some finish and the polish was taking it off. Can anyone confirm the RSR is just SS? EDIT: Just had a quick google and it seems its a mix of plain SS back boxes and ceramic coated SS pipes. Perhaps the tips are this ceramic coated SS? Would explain why autosol wouldnt fix it. Would need someone with more knowledge to confirm and advise on a fix
  3. I found it a boring drive. Plus if going back to 2 seats, you may as well have a Zed! I'd say an M3 for me
  4. +1 - and have then redone a different colour when they need doing. I see no point having them redone if they are in good condition, they will look good on a blade Zed
  5. Thanks Chris. Dont want to worry you but thats what Chuck was doing in the end. (Un)fortunately, Inky has done this before. He eats random crap at some point, gets an upset stomach, and then dehydrates himself. I'm quietly confident that a night on a drip will have him up and licking everyone in sight again. At least I hope so, hes not even 3yrs old yet, so plenty of youthfulness to fight it off
  6. I'm going to mod my Debenhams special with some Abec 7 bearings and supersoft inline skate wheels, bet it will be quieter than yours I do have multi-directional wheels you know.... Amanda says hers has flowers on - so neerr - you lose But...but...but....ARGH!!!!!!!
  7. I was talking to my local wheel place about this the other day. The problem is that the Jap ones just arent designed with the English weather in mind and the laquer and paint can be quite thin. They were happy that having the wheels powdercoated in the UK with paint/laquer designed for our roads, should see them last longer
  8. Best thing that could happen with yours for sale at the same time. If someone is looking for a VS Zed and see yours next to the crashed one, you're onto a winner! Boooo, no, we dont want your one to sell matey
  9. +1 We had a spate of companies claiming to be able to "chip" the Zed, but all were generic and when questioned fell apart. I wouldnt want to bad mouth the company you've found, but history has proved its likely they cant do the Zed. Stick to Abbey, they know their way around the Zed and will be doing mine when I get the cash together
  10. Sorry to hear this Dave My mums dog is in the vets at the moment as it was throwing up and wouldnt eat or drink. They had to put him on a drip in the end, should hear today whats up, hopefully not bad news. She'd be deverstated if he doesnt recover

  12. Soft wax is easier to apply and doesnt last as long, and I beleive it gives a slightly better wet look. Hard wax is a bit harder to apply, wears harder too. Try Matt @ i4detailing and see if he will sort you out a panel pot of each, and also try the supernatural panel pot too and see which you prefer
  13. Crikey! Well done on saving it sir, I would have been papping myself. Mental note not to get those arms in future! Hopefully this wont be effecting you attending the hoon? Oh and as Colin said, Lee is probably the best man to sort you out with the OEM bits.
  14. 1 sleep to go before we leave for the hoon

  16. For a complete idiot like myself, is that the big flat bit that the rear springs sit in? Can you jack it on any part of that? Theres no weak bits to avoid. I was wondering if you could jack it on that bit of the diff sticking out too, I've always done it off the sills
  17. I got some trolley bag thing from Debenhams. Was half price and everything
  18. Should be noted that a new speed limit defender isnt much cheaper than a remap when you look at what extra performance you get out of a remap too
  19. Sounds interesting, might have to pop into the local one and give it a go! Will they let us do it in our cars and jump the queue straight to the track?
  20. Driving part one of the Hoon adventure. Home to North Wales
  21. Speak to Amanda on the Hoon. She might be taking over the female side of merchandise, or at least getting Martin onto it
  22. Think you're right Ian. Also my rails came so quick, they beat a delivery made in the UK for next day, which took longer than the rails from the US! Win some, lose some I guess. I dont mind how long they take as long as its in good shape
  23. Non return valve. Sounds like its blocked, or Nissan had a fiddle and put it on the wrong way round? Shouldnt cost more than a few quid to replace
  24. How about a wider selection of womens T-shirts/vests in more varied colours (including pink!) is this possible Martin? I think this topic will be covered at the hoon Manbags however, now thats something we'd not thought about
