I wore them to Modified Live Sunday just gone, so they are still about. but for driving I do prefer the Nikes But the Oakley's go with your car
  2. Dunno, but Zeds seem to be making more power these days with basic mods. Mine must be at 330+ with a pop charger and Nismo and Tesco 99RON!
  3. The option I would go for is some new anti rollbars. That'll sort you out nicely without breaking the bank. Body bracing is pointless unless on a track car, and bushes wont make as big a difference as ARBs and springs Springs will make a big difference too, but they all lower the car.
  4. I wouldnt expect it to be any harder than a pop charger. Well done introspect for coming to the rescue
  5. What he said ^^^ Also dont spin the plastic thing left on the hub when you remove the wheel. Its part of the TCS and if you upset it, it will go mad and wont be fixed until you unwind it

this is the problem i have See the service manual chaps, its easily fixed. Knock back the retaining nut, adjust the threaded rod to desired hight, lock nut back in place and off you go. I had this problem a while back and adjusted the brake hight no probs and heel toe is a goer now. Practice does make perfect too. I didnt used to do it much, but do it all the time now, it reduces the stress on the clutch and syncho mesh no end. Maybe why my stock clutch lasted to 76k! Not sure a slipper clutch would work on a car really. For bikes, sure its all good as rev matching on them is harder and its easier to lock the rear. But on a car it would just mean no engine braking!
  7. This is rubbish Mart! As Stan says they should be taking the thing apart and making sure everything is free to move and then working out why the mechanicals arent moving. Sounds to me like the hooked up the computer and "computer said no", but they dont know what to do with it

Hey thats no excuse, I'm a size 8! And remember this is a Jap car, and they arent the biggest people in the world Just need loads of practice. More important when you get a lightweight flywheel too but does get easier
  10. Looks like a great couple of days there guys, gutted I missed it Some great pics and vids

Adjust the hight of the brake pedal then. Its slightly fiddly, but pretty easy to do. See the service manual. As for heel-toe in the Zed, I find you do have to twist your foot quite a bit, and the Nismo pedal definately helps. I never found it a problem to do before the Nismo pedal, but its definately easier now with it.
  12. Aye was fitted just before going to the RR IIRC. Start of Sept, but its so new it doesnt matter
  13. What did you do to the hub carrier?
  14. Definately not a main dealer job Are your BCs fitted yet Ad?
  15. I find Yelp! is great for finding companies, places to eat, etc and it has customer reviews too
  16. Haha, no sorry, cant say I remember a Punto I'll look out from now on and give a wave though
  17. Main thing they need to do is keep the heat below 200C/400F. Thats when the metal fatiques. I've had my Rotas refubed 3 times including once when it was originally wet painted and 2x PC. Wet painted didnt stand up to anything, and powdercoating is much better. Dont worry about all the scare mongoring, if its done right its fine. My car has had plenty of stick from airfield days to hooning around Scotland and Wales and everything has been fine. So long as they know how to PC forged alloys all is good
  18. Tell them to take some pics and post them up
  19. Typical dealer! I was at WLMG the other day in Slough, and they offered me a testdrive of their 370z sat round the back. I was in a rush so didnt take them up on it, otherwise I would have been late home from work and possibly £30k lighter

    Disabling ABS

How would you know?! Doesnt stop him cooking the brakes, thats the upgrade Greekman needs
  21. Believe they have the PE setup. Looks very nice Dawn Any plans to do the TB?
  22. You need to realise you are now driving a powerful, heavy, rear end happy car. No offence, but you need to drive properly. On and off the throttle nice and gently, same with the brakes, and loading up the tyres. There no understeer safety net with RWD, if you boot the throttle the rear end will come around on you in the wet. I suggest you all read/watch "A twist of the wrist". True its all about riding a motorbike, but it will make you a far better driver Personally, I'm planning on doing a CarLimits training day with Andy Walsh next year
