  1. The handling on it IMO is spot on. It does drive you mad at first as its very hard to drive the cars fast with a wheel, but once you set them up properly, its brill. What I have noticed is that if you upgrade a car loads the handling tends to go way off. You really need to set them up right. I find the old Forza 2 setup calc very handy - http://www.croisened.com/
  2. Try this - hang on http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 2&p=356942
  3. Could be something like a sticky piston. May not have been spotted when fitted if only pads were done. That would usually cause the discs to wear prematurely and warp, so would have judder. Dont really know how you managed to kill them quickly
  4. Who fit the pads for you? Did they check the run out for you? Could be any number of things that have caused premature wear even with normal driving. Sticky piston, disc runout being to great etc. In high milage Zeds like mine and yours, these things can cause the disc and pads to wear what we seem as prematurely due to them rubbing slightly all of the time. Do the discs judder at all?
  5. Think its Voda and Orange not T. Wonder when Orange will announce - can't leave it too much longer if they don't want to miss out on the christmas buyer Sorry yes meant Orange. You can get them on T if you are a high paying customer and threaten to leave though *allegedly*. I thought Orange had already announced it though. Reportedly they will have it in time for xmas and Voda just after. Will be interesting to see how they both cope with having it and the new services they bring. Voda are reportedly loosing a shed load of customers to O2 atm going for iPhones.
  6. Mark: you just need to make sure whatever contract you have has a good data policy. The iphone doesnt really use that much if you arent on GPRS/3G all the time. But if some mong at work has an ordinary Vodafone contract with no data bundle and uses it, then yes it will get very very expensive! You can quite easily talk Vodafone or whoever into giving you nearly free, nearly endless data when it comes to contract renewal But remember with iPhone coming to T and Voda, dont be suprised if they hit back at non-iPhone tarriff users who have iPhones on their networks, I can assure you they keep a very close eye on these things.
  7. I looked at that before getting my Samsung x460. Its damn thin, but demands such a premium. The Lattitude Z is also very nice and has wireless charging and wireless docking

Theres loads to chose from - DBA, Performance Fiction, Stop Tech and Dixel are the main ones that I beleive fit on OEM Brembo calllipers that would be good for track work, without going for a BBK. If you have the Std callipers, the first thing I would be looking at for track work is getting some Brembo's from ZMANALEX
  9. Whats ninja about it? I've had it for months as part of the TechNet beta test. You could freely sign up to the Beta test of W7 unlike Vista which was a little harder to get into If you have 4GB and want to use it all, you have to have 64bit. 32bit cant reference all the memory space in 4GB of RAM, so you will only get about 3GB of RAM.

Turbo grooved or DBA would be ok for light track sessions. Remember that DBA do different series' discs and only their 2-piece ones are really rated for track work. I wouldnt rate the Ultimax disc for track work from what mine have been like and Mitz did tell me the Turbo groove are better if you are doing any track work. And it depends on what kind of level of track work you do too, Greekman is very hard on his brakes whereas if you are light, then 4k series DBAs or EBC Turbogrooved would be alright.
  11. Great that you got it all sorted bud. When I got mine done at the open day, it cost me less than a quarter of what it costs down here My rear wheels were both pointing to the offside and were only slightly out, but made the car much more confident feeling in the corners after it was corrected And no you dont get any more discount, I tried that one

+1 turbogroove wont last long...and DBA wont either...take it easy during track days....the first ones lasted 2 track days before they get warped and the second ones a full track day and 4 nurburgring laps before they get cracked...then again it could be me whos a bit aggressive on the track.... The EBC ones were defo better on the road. Had them with DS2500 pads. They deffo last longer when on the right way around though, dont they, well DBAs do anyway
  13. Where do you suggest we meet you Darren? +1. The road down from Basingstoke is fun
  14. You sure thats an up to date price?

Personally I wouldnt go for Ultimax for track work. I have done a bit on mine and they seem to be warped now. Not 100% sure the airfield day killed them but EBC arent the best discs for track work anyway, so getting something they admit isnt for track isnt a good idea. If you cant get the turbogrooves then try someone like ZMANALEX for some OEM ones and just use uprated pads
  16. Depends how good he is at replacing fixings on the bumper. When I was reversed into my bumper was a writeoff purely because the fixing post for the indicator cluster was snapped, which by the looks of it is the same here If he can weld plastic or something, it will be ok, but I dont know if thats possible?
  17. They never fit right mate, if they are the same as my GTRs. There isnt enough clearance between the wheel and the hub for the cap retaining clips to fit in. You can wedge them in if you're lucky (mine were ok first time) but you have to fit the centre caps to the wheels before putting the wheels on the car. Sucks I know, I run mine without caps now, just hammerited the hub centres black.
  18. You shouldnt have a light on, no. Make sure the MAF is connected properly and see what the code is by doing the CEL reset procedure and read the code off. I forget how to do it but a quick search should tell you. From the code we can work out whats happened. Is everything definately done up tightly again? Hope you didnt over oil it
  19. Yup its a right PITA! Probably why people seem to make good gains if they do a mod and dyno straight away too. Need to go back in a month to prove its gone back to stock as it inevitably does
  20. You took your time to spot that
  21. Needs loads of carbon for him even to consider it! That would be class though
  22. I can see car companies wanting it to be Thatcham approved in this country if you do get something like that. They are the defacto in aftermarket car alarms and security systems
