I've had enough...*CAUTION HIGHLY PERSONAL RANT*
Chris`I replied to BulletMagnet's topic in Off Topic Discussion
And the mobile phones going off, people talking, kids throwing popcorn etc etc.. Its a real joy to go to the cinema these days!! +1 - a well done Bluray "backup" is far superior to cinema projection cack. Its not until you venture back to the cinema having watched BD that you realise how rubbish it is! My long term plan is to get an HD projector and screen and hook that up to all my AV kit and have a much much better experience, only you have to wait for it to come out on BD before you can watch it -
Spare part for everything apart from the roof Hope you get this sorted soon bud. Maybe see if Nissan will sort out the labour for free and get the parts from Lee if they wont do it all for free. Sure you are on it though.

Come again..........? +1 - do explain

Well thats the problem -they do stuff like this as a complete unit - maybe the motors will be seperate and clips but the rest will be - sod it we cant be fussed lets flog it a complete unit! The problem stealers will have is they wont gain access to a jig to check the alignment of the roof rails - this will be a special tool which they no doubt have to pay for extra - and since they only made so many ragtops it wont be a requirement worth the investment - probably better off going to a decent coach trimmer - they can usually suss this out quicker and cheaper. But anyway lets see what Nissan say? Bit like an article James May wrote about his old car being broken. Dealers couldnt work out the problem, and when he was down at his plane engineers place once day, he had a look at it and solved it! Case of a proper engineer looking at what was really going on, solved what turned out to be a very simple problem! Send it to an old boy engineer Mart! Preferably one with a lump hammer

Down the inside edge of the headlight there is a small hole, down the bottom is a small adjuster which you can adjust with a looong (about 1ft) posidrive screw driver. I cant remember which turn is which for up or down though. I think its clockwise to turn it up When I did mine, I put it on the drive with the other car and adjusted it so the cutoff is below their window, but on the back of the car quite high. With the beam, the hotspot is in the middle, so as they adjust the car low, the hotspot is far too low stock. Adjust it up and its all good Should say the adjuster looks like a small toothed wheel with another bit with an X in it for the screwdriver head EDIT: Sod it here you go!

I know, doesnt happen too often these days Thats the problem with driving 75 miles a day with a lightweight flywheel. Cant trundle at low revs any more or you sound like a cement mixer, so have to keep it on the revs at all times which means lots of gear changes He better not go doing that to my car to be I think I might just get a 370z and leave it stock -
Well thats one way to introduce yourself to a new forum If you want to bend the rules, you really should be up front with it, we are a decent lot you know. Hope you do well with the sale, Mark will no doubt get your asking price

At the end of the day, those selling cheap tat wont last long on here as reputation means more on here than anything. People will soon wise up and return to the more reliable traders that we know and love -

Site suggest $130, which to me seems too cheap for them Although saying that they do copy parts too -

I havent laughed so much in ages than at reading this thread I for one buy on reputation and quality, not on name. I have a Nismo gear knob and the top "metal" isnt metal at all and the covering is wearing off. Now we know one of our members does a "rip off" of it, but its made in solid metal and cheaper to boot. Now which one would you go for? If you vote Nismo, then you are a brand whore (just like I was at the time) and thats your porogative. I for one wouldnt get another Nismo knob. -
I've yet to try one, but they certainly look an awesome piece of kit and I've never heard anything bad about them. I was tempted to buy one but the wait put me off more than anything, so I plumped for the MS one last week and I don't feel too hard done by tbh as it's a solid piece of kit. Yeah ditto. Maybe when I win the lotto I'll try one! Everything on their site says they are limited run too, so might not even get the chance to get one. MS wheel does me for now

People that have owned 276bhp and RevUp 296bhp car
Chris`I replied to Mark@Abbey m/s's topic in 350Z General
Cams were one of the parts changed between 276 and 296 cars, as well as the plenum. This would explain why you are seeing a loss of mid range torque and gain of high end RPM from what I've been led to beleive. They sacrificed mid range torque to get higher RPM and higher headline figure, which as we all know isnt what you always want in daily driving Theres lots of info on my350z.com and the likes. When the RevUps came out people started to swap out for the MREV2 lower plenum which I beleive was almost a step back to the older lower plenum, which gave owners something like a few HP loss, but gave back quite a lot of the torque from what I remember. It was a while ago I last read about this so a bit flakey, sorry. At a guess its tuning the inlet tracks back to where they were on the older model which losses high end HP but gains torque. Higher lift/duration cams also aided in getting higher HP and I think some other modifications helped them raise the rev limit. -
Sadly the G27/25 aren't compatible with the 360, the only ones that are are the official MS 360 wheel (which I've got and am quite happy with) or the Fanatec Porsche wheels which are on an 8 week back order. Fantecs for some reason are insanely expensive. Are they that much better than the MS wheel to demand more than 3x the price?

Yup, you have to get these Jerry and join the Recaro/Bride club

Why so.............? Its in part of the house that has no wired or wireless access and it doesnt like the net anyway You mean you've got it chipped to play pirate games you naughty boy and if you connect it to the net MS will know what you've done and blow up your xbox remotely Not me guv *whistles* Had to open the box to repair the RROD just outside of the year warentee (was a first gen so no sending it back), so I thought I might as well do some "mods". Nice new fan to keep it quiet and new case etc. Nothing dodgy honest Tested out my R3 level Reventon last night and OMG its fecking quick! Left all the other R3s behind

So why dont you give some feedback I havent owned both, but I have driven both, and echo what Colin said. Mid range the 276 has a small, but noticable, bit more poke, but top end the 296 has it. Not sure if it has more power at the rev limit of the 276, but the extra revs certainly make it better top end. IMO, the best combo would be if you can get the 276 to rev as high as the RevUp with a plenum spacer to up the torque slightly. Also spoke to Phil about it quite a lot and he rated the original 276 for its mid range over the RevUp and its extra bit of power top end. Even said he had owners asking what they could do to up the torque of the 296's before the days of UpRev tuning -
You might not say that if you lived down here with crap congested roads! I do hate the fact that you have some of the best UK driving roads on your doorstep
-
Speak to the traders on here, Envy, Adam@Z1auto, Andy@Kudos, they all do wheels. They will make sure the wheels are of decent size, right PCD, width and offset for you
-
Sure I saw Colin doing that around the Trussacks on the way to the Jockland hoon

Definately worth having a wheel Ho, makes it so much more fun! I only have the MS wheel, but its still good
