Chris grab one for me while your there get Amanda to distract them and you grab a few G37s and stuff them under your coat Me, loitering, never I think the 370z has a fight on its hands in Amanda's eyes

Can you guess what it is yet? More to follow tomorrow, dont have time to post pics and a write up tonight

Any key you have is valid for one install of 32bit or 64bit, you dont need differnt keys for W7 - thank god! I got W7 64bit on my laptop and everything is working amazingly well apart from bitlocker, which seems to think the boot files have changed every boot. Samsung dont support 64bit for my laptop and just tell me to update the firmware - which is already up to date One thing that really shocked me is the default W7 software for my fingerprint scanner is easily 10x better than the Samsung one - usually Windows OEM stuff sux!

As Mark said, follow the loom from the battery. Its far easier if you pop off all the plastic bits around the battery (battery cover, battery surround and bit of trim from the batter back to the windscreen). Once you get those removed, you will see it dead easy. Pop a little slit in it and shove the cable through with a screwdriver. Once in the passenger footwell, if you pop all the trim from the door shut, you can use the Nissan OEM trunking to route it to the glovebox behind the passenger seat. Honestly, I havent found a car easier to route it in This should help but its a US car so reverse the sides around http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/firewall/

Ah right! My girlfriend just retrimed my boot hatch, strut and surrounding area in a type of alcantara and its quite hard wearing.. Just need to get some more material.. did some interior bits too and just wondering what else too do! You gone for something that wont fade this time? Yep its called having a garage now so its not sat in the sun all the time! And gonna get the rear screen tinted at somepoint... Think using real Alcantara would better than having to keep it out the sun all the time! Tinted windows (if UV blocking) could be a cheaper way to go!

Allllrighty then! Great thread revival from over a year ago mate! I sincerely hope you are not trying to up your post count to sell something (I appologise if you arent, I am very sceptical!)

Come on Husky, I missed it too! I want to see what pics were posted -
honestly i dont want to seem like sh*tting all over the thread honestly its just me worrying about a fellow member(s) you want it to work for everybody well buyer and seller and all be covered nicely so theres no pissing about. please dont take it the wrong way. Wasnt directed at anyone in particular, it just seemed that a lot of people who seemingly took no interest in this suddly started to chip in their 2p when its seemingly now coming to fruition. I have to agree with what Rich said above. I have seen more than enough so called "tuner" parts that are a heap of shite. Ian for one opened my eyes to the Arc catch can at Ace Cafe! Not just in car parts either. I used to have a customer made (infact I still have it at my mums house) kayak paddle. It far outlasted some other well known paddles I had at the time but was completely made by hand by a bloke in a shed. Lets not write off what Scotts bloke is doing just because it doesnt have Nismo stamped on it. That doesnt mean that I would install one on my car now, but I would love to see one in person and make up my own mind, and also like to know what insurances that company that makes them has against failures. Its sounds like they make quite a bit of kit so would be very supprised if they are not covered. I probably wont get one because I am probably not going to do any more mods to my car in temptation of going a different direction, I just didnt want to see Scott shot down after a lot of hard work has gone into it.

That looks really good Scott. I must say I am shocked by the few that have "perked up" recently. This topic has been bubbling along for a long time and it does seem its a bit of a snipe against Scott has now managed to come up with the goods. I agree that the unit needs testing to make sure its durable but some of the concerns are just laughable. How long have we seen CF intake tubes? They are exposed to pretty much the same conditions as the plenum and plenty of people were happy to buy these from Phil when he sold them. If Phil was to sell these, would people have a second thought? I do agree we need to make sure the quality control is spot on, but I dont see a problem with them. NOTE: This is my personal oppinion and in no way an official stance of the 350z-uk team

Keep the ideas coming guys, I'm sure Amanda will appreciate new ways to spend my money! Think I am going to get a new Canon G11 for the trip, CBA to hike my SLR around all over the shop (quite literally!) Think I will walk around and take photos while she spends money in the shops
-
What I dont get is, fair enough change the interior, paint it, whatever, but why dont they remove it to do it?!
-
That doesnt mean he wouldnt do it even quicker with the ESP off... I can see both sides of the arguement here. If you drive perfectly then you will never break traction so it will never come on, and you will be the quickest around the track. But we're all human, and we do take it past the limit just slighly when we are trying to drive on the limit - and its here when TC is a pain in the butt. It cuts the power too violently which does slow you down. If on the an airfield activity day, I turn TCS off as I know I will go over the limit and TCS will slow me down. Now if you can drive pretty much prefectly and always be on or below the limit then TCS wont bother you. Saying that, the main time I have noticed it slow me down is, as said before on this thread, in very low speed, tight corners when trying to get on the gas again - which is a lot on an airfield activity day. I have never noticed it on more sweeping bends like on a real track where you can load the tyres up nice and smoothly. If on a big track you are getting TCS kicking in, its pretty obvious you are on the limit and maybe you should back off

Thats what I've been told too. They do a sunrise and sunset ticket which is quite tempting for when Amanda and I go there for her birthday in Jan

IIRC Reading is the only dealership that is open at the moment
-
May have to ask you to pop down and do a review of the g37 for me mate I'm sure that could be arranged
-
I've seen one on the M4 too, although not supprising when the dealership is only 1 mile away from where I saw it!

Time Attack style is always to color the very outer lip red

This is the best pic I can find to try and illustrate it. You can see the hole where the centre cap could be. They have lugs that go into the hole and hold onto the back of the wheel face. The problem is the hub comes too far forward to the face of the wheel and wont allow the tab to grip the wheel Looks fine with no centrecap if you paint the bits you can see
-
Where the centrecaps go in the middle of the wheel, they have tabs that sit behind the wheel face to hold them in place. When you then offer up the wheel to the hub, the hub is so close to the wheel face there is no space for these locating tabs it pushes them off the wheel and the centre cap wont fit. If you try to fit the centrecap afterwards, you break the tabs. I believe there is a certain offset that will fit properly, but I cant remember what it is. I think it was one of the more agressive offsets (lower number). I showed the problem to someone at Ace Cafe but didnt catch their name. Maybe if they read this they can help me explain
-
You want around a 25mm (or maybe 20mm) offset on them to look great. Make sure whoever does them for you will guarentee that the centre caps will fit on the rear and will refund if they dont. I know loads of people that were told they would fit (inc myself) and they dont due to the clearance on the hub. I run mine with no centre caps which I dont mine, but if you want them on yours make sure you get some kind of guarentee for it

Look forward to seeing the pics Scott

Think both Falkens and Toyos perform pretty much the same as each other. I have Falkens and they are a definate step up from stock. They arent the best in the wet though.
-
Ah, yes in that case, its far too agressive. Almost makes you headbutt the wheel Stones are rubbish though unless they are well warmed up so even the best throttle finnesse can light them up in second gear changes
