Where are you based? Down south, a P3 will run you in somwhere around £250, and spark plugs you should be able to have done for £120, thats what I paid on my old Zed when I had a P3 and plug change done at the same time at a main dealer

Sounds like a swirl fest to me. Best option I have found, is a combo of a MF duster (about a quid from Morrissons) to take off any dust without really touching the car, then some QD to remove the last of the dust. The main thing to do is clean the car prior to setting off (proper wash) and keep the car dry all the way if possible. Then you should only have surface dust which the duster will remove, and finally a quick going over of QD will remove the small amount that is left. I certainly wouldnt do that with more than just dust on it though, or do it between washes unless its for a show, and only then with minimum of time after a proper wash.

What do you mean by bringing more than one person? You will struggle to get more than 2 in a Zed If they are bringing another car, they will have to park in the public parking and buy their own ticket and meet you in the show.

Yup, can leave when you like as Dan says, but depending on how the stand is arrange, it might be a bit difficult

As already said, we cant always be here, so you shouldnt depend on us to approve posts in time. If you put it up in the Spotted on eBay then that wouldnt have needed approving I did check to make sure that Mods were online before I posted it... Will remember that for next time as I guess its just easier that way.. Cant always be sure we will see it unfortunately. I - for example - have been around on the forum enough for it to say I'm online, but been also doing other jobs around the house at the same time, so cant guarantee it will get done in any specific time frame, that plus I have pages and pages of threads to go through, its a bit of a nightmare sometimes.

Did you not get a PM on this? I will PM you with what happened as it was my fault

Hedging your bets Chris? Kind of. I would prefer 20/25, but most kits around atm are 20mm, so would make do with 20 all round if I had to
-
in germany the tyre life span is 3 years. again they get replaced and then sold over here. i replace mine at 3mm or 3 years which ever comes up first And make sure you use places that get through tyres quite a lot so they are always new. Camskill for example go through loads, and IIRC dont they state they will never give you tyres produced more than 2 years ago?
-
Just get a Nismo so we can lock the thread
-
Great write up Dan Not quite the same I'm afraid. Different treat depths are not the same as different tyre compounds. Different tread depths will largely react the same, apart from at the very beginning (as it has tyre release agent on them which is slippy) and towards the end when they become slippy again as you loose tread. The tyres for the most part will react exactly the same, or at least so close you will never notice, apart from in the wet when the lower ones will not be able to clear as much water and will slip sooner. So while I appreciate your logic, its not the same, and Dan is spot on with his write up, and no matter how many people try to argue it, he is right

Do you suffer from N1 Spoiler Dribble ???
Chris`I replied to Tarmac@TarmacSportz's topic in Car Detailing
If it makes you feel better, my OEM 370z spoiler seems to dribble too -
Good luck! Thats another added benefit of Nismo, they are rare as rocking horse poop second hand, so demand a good resale price As mentioned above, the Scorpion doesnt come with a Y-pipe. Now if you are planning to remap in the future that is definately something you need to factor it, its one of the most restrictive parts of the stock exhaust system. As far as facts about better materials, I dont have the facts, but having handled both, the Scorpion definately felt less substantial and the pipework didnt feel as thick. Doesnt mean its not as good, but like for like, both made from stainless steel, the Nismo "felt" like better quality pipe work. Scorpion is also more raspy top end compared to the Nismo which generally means its thinner materials as they resonate more.
-
What Nismo's failed? The Y-pipes? They were due to de/sports-cats that had dodgy connectors. Adam@Z1 went through that in detail a few years ago. Other than that, I havent heard of any failing Nismos. My own Nismo covered about ~30k miles on AdrianKs car and a further ~30k on my car and never missed a beat. I'm not going to argue that the Scorpion is rubbish, it is far from that, but if you take the Nismo and Scorpion at the same time, the Nismo is clearly (or at least the last time I saw them together off a car ~2-3yrs ago) using more substantial materials. Scorpion are superbly made exhausts, I have one for my R6. We'll just agree to disagree
-
Look at the Nismo as an investment. Sure its expensive to buy, but there is always demand to shift them on. IMO having heard many many Nismos and Scorpions, while the Scorpion is certainly the best exhaust at its price point, it doesnt touch the Nismo for the noise. Maybe at idle they are about the same, but once moving, and certainly once up the rev range the Nismo wins hands down. Build wise, its true that there may not be that much in it to look at, but the Nismos are very good quality. Not saying the Scorpion isnt, but the Nismo is better. Also remember a good chunk of the cost of a Nismo is importing it and Scorpion IIRC are still made in the UK. So yes you pay for the brand, but you get a lot of money back afterwards, which I'm not convinced you will on a Scorpion.

Modified Live. Brands Hatch. 27 June UPDATE
Chris`I replied to martinmac's topic in National Events & Shows
Yup, another member had already let me know, but thanks for confirming. Still only a mile or so up the road, more than enough time if its anything like last year if we get to the meet point for 8am -
Depending on where you take it, it might or might not be part of their normal price. I was once told that if the car is within warranty, then you have to have it done as part of the service, and is included in what most garages call a P1 service. You supposidly have to have it hooked up to keep the Nissan warranty. Once you are out of warranty, you can have a service where they dont hook it up and they make it cheaper. At WLMG they call this an L1 service rather than P1. Its exactly the same, just they dont hook up the diagnostics. It costs extra as Nissan charge them to use the computer. How much mark up etc they actually make on that I dont know
-
Talk to Sarah or even Pro-Bolt direct, they might do some kind of discount

Modified Live. Brands Hatch. 27 June UPDATE
Chris`I replied to martinmac's topic in National Events & Shows
Just love to get us up early dont ya Think Amanda might be having words with that suggestion. How about meet at 8am for an 8:15 convoy up to the gate? Its litterally 2 minutes (just over a mile) up the road, and even with the queues we made it in easily last time. -
