  1. Well the other side of the road to that according to Google maps, but close enough
  2. TBH guys, Ian is right, unfortunately, you just have to PM and wait. We should have the team around most of the time, but if we're not here you just have to wait. The first thing we usually do when coming online is to check if posts/threads are waiting for approval. We should have somethig in the pipeline to solve this though
  3. Most people start feeding out from about 3pm in drips and drabs usually, but depends on what goes on with the footie I guess!
  4. I seem to remember reading that he said he might be off and that he was going to have to hold off on what he was doing until he got back.
  5. Sounds like a different one to me. Doesnt supprise me with Nissan
  6. Everyone turns eventually Never quite said I'd turned Haven't driven one tho so you never know. That'll be the decider
  7. That IMO is what they were getting at. But any sprayer/bodyshop worth their salt should prep the car properly as they dont know whats on the paint, so should strip it all back regardless
  8. Voted to leave the lip and paint the spokes black. As per other thread, take it somewhere good to get them done. Wont be cheap as they will powercoat the wheel and re-do the polished lip before re-laquering the lot. Dont get them to mask and wet paint it, I learnt my lesson with that, finish isnt anywhere near as durable. Spit & Polish or Lepsons will do the job properly, but wont be the cheapest - do it once, do it right
  9. You will be fine powercoating them, but you will have to take them to a decent wheel place. They will PC the wheel first, then diamond turn/cut the lip again, before laquering the whole wheel and baking it on. That way you dont need to mask it. Wont be able to use a cheap wheen place though, will likely have to send them away to someone decent, like Spit and Polish or Lepsons. IIRC my old Rotas got sent to Lepsons (via MyAlloys in Basingstoke) to be done when I needed the polished lip, and thats exactly what they did to it. Beleive me you will see the difference they make doing it properly, the laquer was about half an inch thick on them and pretty indestructable! Way better than OEM! Infact Lepsons and Spit and Polish look like they may be down the road for you, thats good luck!
  10. As the others have said, check the tyre pressures - 35psi when cold. Some like them a little harder too, upto 37psi. If tyre pressures are fine, its your right foots fault I had no discernible difference in MPG changing my tyres from PS2s to Falkens on the 350z.

    help!!

If you want a sanity check before buying them, just pop the specs up here and we'll double check them

    oil price

Yup Nissan will tell you. IIRC last time I had mine done the oil made up some £40 or so of the price.
  13. Sponge or foam applicator pads are best to apply it. You should have gotten some before and after beading shots, show how well it works
  14. They are the Nismo wheels Looks very nice, loads of pics on the US forums if people are interested
  15. AFAIK, silicone is not bad for paint, and the only things it is used for is in polish (maybe wax), as (a) it helps it spread and ( it helps hide swirls/RIDs. The reason many detailers say stay away from polish with silicone is for the swirl hiding effect, as you think you may have corrected the swirls, only to find they come back when the silicone finally gets washed away. True detailers will use silicone free polish so they can know the swirls have really gone. For the amateur at home without all the proper kit, and especially when applying it by hand - polish containing silicone (like Megs SRP) will give you a better finish. A bit of a read, but this answers your question - direct form the Megs site (See below quote). http://www.meguiars.com/faq/index.cfm?faqCat=General%20Questions&faqQuestionID=19&section=_19
  16. With a new car, they need the insurance certificate to tax the car. As you dont normally have cover start until the day you pick up the car (as it cancels cover on you previous car), they dont send out the cover note until that day usually. Now 99.9% of insurers will get a cover note to a dealership either by fax or email, but for some reason More Than have decided thats not for them, so the car wont have been able to be taxed
  17. Wait til you see our setup Darren, it will look great (pitch allowing)
  18. OK, just had this from the horses mouth - Nissan GB Sports Car Product Manager - I hope this is the end of the matter as he knows how these systems work in fairly minute detail.
  19. Yup, get someone to look at it, and as suggested dont reset the ECU as it will wipe the codes
  20. Plain old 3G doesnt allow a lot of the features as its not deemed powerful enough. Think there must have been a rush on to upgrade to iOS4, as it only took me a bout 20mins to do mine
  21. Yes it has changed hands in the past couple of years. Was Dan Perkins, but soon changed to WLMG when I first used them. They are now in a new site, and are an official HPC, so are sanctioned to work on GTRs, so 350z/370z should be safe. We also have the added protection that they know this forum is very active and any bad press for them on here will be massively detrimental. So I suggest you give them a go next time, ask to speak to Mark the service manager and he will be more than happy to chat to you if he knows you are a member here
  22. As the others have said, power down the passenger side (theres even a cable "tunnel" to put them down) by the door. Bits from the HU got down the centre. Its dead easy to lift the centre tunnel trim up and run the cables, 5 screws IIRC.
