  1. Search is your friend. 10HP/10ft-lb roughly, but that translates to a much different drive as you can imagine, it doesnt add much to top end, but its across the range that you gain. Are you going with a lightweight flywheel? That plus the remap will make the car feel like a beast in comparison

What he said! The laws of physics tell you that the normal wheel will take up more space than a space save - by virtue of its name - its smaller! But Nissan arent that stupid to not make enough space for the proper wheel to fit back in. Now if your boot was full before making the swap, then that might get a bit tight
  5. To remove swirls you need to polish the car. Swirls are very fine scratches in the clear coat which protects the actual paint. You need to remove enough clear coat to remove the scratches, which you do with polish. Best done by machine polisher, but by hand you can do enough with polish to "round off" the edges of the swirls which will make them less apparent. If you really want to learn what you are doing - hit up http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ they have some great guides and FAQs
  6. +1 - JODB can play havoc. If you have a UK car (EOBD) then its much easier. The generic ELM327 readers on eBay work fine for UK cars and are a lot less expensive than others. Remember the port on the 350z is under the steering column to the right. This means you need something with a slimline connector. I got a generic ELM327 which was a box with a USB and OBD cable, took the OBD connector apart and slimmed it down so you couldnt see it. The other option is to remove the mounting screws for the OBD port, and hide it all behind the dash.
  7. Gotta be the itch in most cases. Sure as hell was for me. Evaluating the options left me with just one, and I am so glad I waited. Have to agree with Rich slightly, in that I wasnt getting a smile on my face with the Zed, except for places like Wales where you could really drive it. The new Zed is not as much a brute, but damn good fun for hacking about, and the smile is back. I think its mostly down to getting used to the power you have and not fully exploiting it as much, getting complaicant with it. Since getting the new Zed, I've had more spirited drives and the love is definately back
  8. Looking good bud. Have fun with the speedo cluster
  9. Thats the problem Paul, not everyone meeting Clacket Lane will be going to Portebello Inn. Thats what will be confusing, when one lot needs to peel off, some people may get confused. Not meaning to make this overly difficult, just make sure you get yourself to the pub on time as we dont want members missing the show. But yes you are heading for the right place at Point A on your second link
  10. Slightly OT but I was going to use some to clean the car this weekend, but is APC pretty much the same as traffic film remover or is APC less on the scale to traffic film remover? And will APC or TFR (slight dilution) be good for getting water marks off metal? APC will strip all the protection off you car. APC is less agressive than TFR but both are pretty strong. You'd only want to be using it where you have to. I take it the metal is treated somehow if you dont want to use Autosol (or similar) on it? Watermarks can be "helped" off my placing some wet kitchen towel over the area and left for a bit. It re-hydrates the dried on deposits making them easier to remove. However if they have been baked on, it might not be so easy. On metal it could be easier to polish, with normal polish or metal polish
  11. A lot of us need them for the +1 - we'll work something out otherwise my missus aint coming in You can go with Sarah if you like, but you'll have to pay Meeeeeeoooooowww!!!! Short memory chris? They know I'm just having a laugh

  16. Mines no 95, but its the first customer ordered quartz one They made the black ones first so you have a lower number You have to at least try the GTR wheels on it
  17. Thats the one, its on the other side of the road to the marker on the map, the big car park, cant miss us
  18. Shocking http://www.autoblog.com/2010/06/23/brea ... many-ring/
  19. Are you meeting at clacket lane also? What is the postcode for the meet point? I'm not meeting at Clacket Lane, no. The official meet point to goto before going into the show is on the meeting scheduler under the Update heading -here (8am @ Portabello Inn). Please do not confuse the meet points for the 2 clubs. We are meeting at that Portabello Inn just down the road from the circuit. If you go to the wrong meet place, you will not be able to get your stand pass or ticket and wont be able to join in with us
  20. Remember to meet at the Portabello Inn pub to get your stand pass if you are on our list. There are 2 clubs meeting at two seperate meet points, so please dont get confused where to meet us. We dont want members getting stranded by going to the wrong meeting point and not being able to get onto the stand
  21. Very nice, think this should be over in the 370z section though (fear not I will move it ) Its my brother from a different mother What number is she?
  22. Sounds pretty normal to me from what I can remember of my 350z. Remember the throttle is drive by wire so even if you get off the throttle, that doesnt mean the ECU will decide to close it
  23. Well you've turned us down for the 3rd time so we had to give up.... Cant go making our forum vigilante a mod
  24. If Abbey have looked at it and are happy with it, then I wouldnt worry. As the others have said, grooved discs do make a bit more noise, so it might just be that.
