  1. Well thats kind of why I turned it off, but it appears some use it and the site is running fine, so I'll leave it for now
  2. Never had that problem in the 350z - maybe your battery is shot? 370z (which we are talking about here) uses something similar to RFID I'd imagine. Should be the same they have in other Nissan cars though, so shouldnt take a dealer long to work it out.
  3. I have turned the jump box back on, lets see how we get on
  4. Just to let you guys know we are making progress on this and things so far are looking good. This is the same mod we tried last time and it messed up the forum but it looks like someone else has taken over developement now and its a lot more stable (now at version 3.0 whereas before it was version 2). We need to do a test run integrating it into a copy of this site (thus far it is running on a vanilla install of the software), then we can move on to putting it live. Neo has been doing a lot of good work on this so you can all buy him a beer when you next see him (if you ever see him!)
  5. Are those gubbins in the bumper (literally strapped to the bumper with some wire hanging off) the sensors for the bonnet lifters then Mark? I had a feeling thats what it was for as they arent ok US cars. Good job I didnt disconnect them then!
  6. Was to see if it would speed things up. If theres enough want for it then we can reinstate it
  7. Does it to this with the passenger door and/or boot? If its only one door, its likely to be the reciever in the drivers door, if it happens with the others it could be the key batteries or something more central in the car. TBH I'd get it to a dearer as its in warranty. They can hook it up to Consult and diagnose whats going wrong.
  8. In all honesty unless you want some bling, I wouldnt bother with the Gen3s. They are quite a bit of expense for no real gain over decent drop ins. Install wise its not so bad, I think it took me about 3hrs in the end, because I was doing everything slowly. Could be done quicker, but I wouldnt want to rush it, I would leave an afternoon to do the work. IMO I'd just get drop in filters and put the extra money saved towards a remap. You have a good range of mods there, so you should see good gains from a map. Unless you want some extra under bonnet bling
  9. Not sure how much panel filters will net on their own, but with a freer flowing exhaust (one that replaces the standard Y pipe) they have shown to give a gain with a remap
  10. If the 350z is anything to go by then open filters in the 370z will loose you power not make it. Stillen Gen3 and Injens are proven good gains as they put the filters outside of the engine bay. The problem with the Injens is they relocate one of the washer bottles, but in the UK we have 2 bottles (IIRC) so you'd have to work out how to relocate the other.
  11. My OEM clutch lasted over 70k miles with some mechanical sympathy and a fair few motorway miles. As above it depends on how its been driven, do a clutch test and see if its still ok. I wouldnt imagine many last more than 70k miles though.
  12. That was scary just watching it live, I thought he was going to cause a major incident
  13. I hope he does learn from it, but somehow I doubt it. Real shame as he is an amazing driver, he just cant drive like its on an Xbox and shove it up the inside with no space all the time
  14. +1 - people please take not of the sections you are in and what posters are saying. 370z section is now a lot busier and we are getting a lot of small mis-reads/posts WRT 350z and 370z I dont know anyone in this country that has a Scanguage on a 370z, but be happy to try one out if a local 350z owner has one.
  15. Have to agree with Colin. From my bystander view point (not knowing the ins and outs of F1), it looks to me like Lewis takes a lot of opportunites that arent really there, trying to shove it down inside/outside of a driver, expects them to back off and when they dont he complains about it. Maybe he should make and/or aim for bigger gaps?
  16. Guess is depends as what you consider worth while Colin. 5-10HP isnt to be sniffed at, but for me and you the extra noise would not be prefered, and I dont think you'd see any difference with the 5-10HP OTR once you have gained the good chunk already from exhaust/intakes/remap combo. That is of course unless you are tracking it or wanting the extra noise - then they would be worth it. What we also didnt consider in your car vs mine - where we discounted the Stillen intakes giving any extra power - is that my 7AT drivetrain may have sapped more power than a manual. So my intakes may still give some gains over standard airbox/uprated filter combo, we just need to see them on a manual car.
  17. We did from Jenson's lovely missus
  18. Usually its all switches, no keys required. Closet thing to a key they will have is a kill switch that they can usually remove to remove all power from the car - however at an even theres not reason to remove it. As above, you'd need to be fairly savvy to know the order to turn stuff on but you could get quite lucky especially if it was about to go out anyway it might have already had all the ancilleries turned on
  19. Cant have been that clever a thief otherwise they'd have flatbeded it (covered of course) just round the corner from the Pod
  20. Why didnt they follow it? I assume they didnt realise it was stolen until after they got home?
  21. +1 I am a massive fan of Hamilton, but when is he going to learn to calm the F down for a while and stay out of trouble
