  1. Think my TCS just wasnt that sensitive then. I really had to provoke it to get it to kick in. Unless it was in a straight line of course My mate Ben can confirm I didnt hang around, I could keep up with his Evo VIII a lot of the time
  2. But... as I said earlier... I get bogged down in 2nd taking off briskly (not stupidly) and also my TCS cuts the power in quite a few places I driver regularly. Tried with the TCS off, driving in the same style and the tires don't even start to let go. Do I have a problem with my TCS? I don;t think so, as when it IS wet, it has slapped me on the wrist once or twice, exactly when I needed it. So why not turn it off in the dry? If you have throttle finesse it shouldnt need to kick in. So maybe something is wrong with your TCS? Certainly I never had that problem. I could do laps of the Car Limits track with TCS on and it rarely lit up, only when I was really pushing it. Maybe my car was a freak?
  3. Was going to say they all load fine for me
  4. While I agree with what most of you are saying WRT driving with TCS off makes you a better driver, I cant for one reason think why you should be lighting up TCS on the road, unless you are being ham fisted around tight bends or junctions. This is the only time my old 350z would light up the rears without giving it a lot of provoking. Its true that the TCS is very sensitive but you just have to read the first post to realise why this is. Anyone who thinks they NEED TCS off in the dry is just pushing too hard IMO. Not of course talking about those that puposefully push the car too much to make it slide, but then they should have TCS off anyway Daily driving just doesnt need TCS off
  5. Yes but how do you know the tyres aren't spinning? TCS can measure front wheel speed vs rear wheel speed to determine if rear wheels are spinning (Ie rotating faster than the fronts), how can you tell?
  6. One question - for those of you that have TCS off and say this is becuase TCS kicks in before the tyres are spinning - how do you know this? Also if you set TCS off on the road - due to braking traction - do you not think you are driving beyond your and the cars limits at that point? In theory if you drive within the limits of traction you should never see the TCS light, and on the road you shouldnt be pushing anything near the limit of traction. My 2p and most learn it the hard way.
  7. Theres some great vids on there of them testing the theories. I've had 2 sets of filters that are oiled, Pop charger on my 350z which did 65k+ miles (filter cleaned and re-oiled every 9k miles) and on the Stillens on my 370z. In total about 75k miles and no problems.
  8. Good work and well done to Sarah
  9. Abbey will get it sorted in no time, or TGM Sport in Fleet
  10. Looked great on Ians car, but as he says, they arent worth it on NA cars unless you want the bling!
  11. This really pisses me off when people of such power blatently flaunt the law, as you say its leads people like sheep to do the same
  12. Very nice sir. Added the YouTube and Vimeo tags for you
  13. Fully agree chap - this is why they should use the same rules as motorcycles and filter down the right hand of traffic, taking the primary position when done. If everyone calmed down a bit, slow cyclists wouldnt hold anyone up much, especially in cities where you hit traffic lights again in another 100yrd. It does no one any favours IMO forcing cyclists to the left of the lane as it promotes cars to push past and also for cyclists to "undertake" down the inside or pavement when they feel they are pushed off the road (or being cheeky @*!# !)

    Whats this?

Will just unbolt mate, its a simple bolt. May need a friend to put pressure on the brakes while you do it

    New M5....

Hadnt even seen that - shocking! Obviously it should be using variable vane turbos when its not, I would hazzard a guess it uses quite small turbos that spool quickly but then run out of puff

    Whats this?

    Wot he said ^^
  17. And even when they do try to repair it, it still doesnt work! There is strech of dual carridgeway that has been resufaced in Bracknell down by The Look Out / Swinley Forest which after roughly 2 days (YES 2 DAYS) they are resurfacing it as the surface has "failed" Also potholes add yet more danger to cyclists and other road users as they try to dodge them A lot of the country lanes I use to commute are absolutely screwed up where you should be riding the secondary position (~1m away from the curb), so I have to take primary all the time which I'm sure annoys other road users as if I was in secondary they could overtake, but I aint riding in the potholes!

    New M5....

The Zed engine is backwards in terms of this, the VQ35DE was first seen in cars 10yrs ago! Also having a TT can help the M5 as it can cruise around on the combine cycle using hardly any fuel and then get on boost to give massive performance
  19. Pfff thats going back a while! Let me check my photobucket EDIT: Non on PB, I'll check at home when I get back. It was kind of hacked together to start with so not something I wanted to show off
  20. Equally they require cars to stay out of them! IMO far better off that bikes integrate fully into the traffic flow as a proper vehical. Cars can only overtake if there is sufficent space so no more bikes getting squashed or bikes coming across the front of cars At the end of the day I tend to sway towards being bias towards bikes as cars are in just such a hurry to fly down to the next set of lights. The bike just catches them up on red again, so the car gains nothing but increasing stress levels for trying to beat the cyclist all the time. If everyone took it a bit easier then life would be so much more relaxed and safer.
  21. Will take a look on Chrome. IE6/7 are now becoming unsupported by many sites but this site isnt particularly complex or flash in terms of new tech so should be fine on older versions. All I can suggest is that you dont leave it open all day, it must have a problem with some part of it. Not going to start debugging old and out of date browsers though, sorry
  22. Its most likely not liking part of the code. I'll see what I can do tonight to trace down what its doing. Do you have any mods/add-ons installed?
