  1. 350z boot is quite spacious, just not in the usual sense of throwing normal suitcases in. You soon get used to packing it with soft bags that mould into the various spaces. Dont get me started on the 370z boot with its "benefit" of the inverted brace under the floor - it actually makes less useable space than the 350z
  2. Doesnt sound good bud - but an egg on the sidewall is an MOT fail I beleive and also not a good thing to have in general so they are right in making you replace it - no matter how annoying or expensive. Cant help on the other fronts I'm afraid.
  3. Or the obvious one, work hard in a decent paid job. So did you buy your cars outright then Neil? Thats quite an achievement at that age! I still get mine on credit
  4. I think this one looks cool as hell This has to be done They are pretty nice cars I must admit Stan, even if they look a little "out there"
  5. 350z's OBD interface is notiriously slow. I found with my CarPC that if you limit it to 3-4 PIDs then it can handle them at a reasonable rate. 370z is supposidly a lot better/quicker but havent tried it out yet. Rich: PIDs are the OBD parameters it can read
  6. Glad its nothing you werent expecting matey. Plety of cod liver oil and

    1st Service

Any decent Nissan garage will be able to service it, doesnt need to be an HPC. I prefer to use my local HPC as they are good and I know the service manager and sales people quite well. If you're local dealer (or interpendant) is good then they will be fine, its just an oil/filter change and a few checks of the car
  8. thats interesting as its sold on here by some as the best option for the most gains, 2HP is well within normal dyno variations, would take that with a pinch of salt tbh. Even 2 pulls of the same car back to back will likely give a difference of 2HP between them
  9. Why not try it and wave your arm in the window and see if the alarm goes off? On other cars I've had if you lock it via the key in the door it doesnt set the alarm, thats another one you can try. There may also be a button somewhere to disengage the motion sensors.
  10. The problem is when you turn off TCS it doesnt disable the ESP, so that still works away trying to brake wheels to keep you going in a straight line when you start to slide. It can be a bit of a PITA when on track - on the road however I fully agree with leaving the TCS/ESP on
  11. You need to speak to Wasso. He did about 150 miles on a quarter tank
  12. well my friend got a garage so his going to show me as im working there... Hope you dont ever have to claim, that could be interesting if they investigate and find out you dont work there
  13. Well they will cover people younger than 25, but it normally makes the cover very expensive unless its for a large company in which case it doesnt make much difference. For small garages you normally find its a lot cheaper not to cover younger drivers
  14. Was going to say 8v is very low - get the battery changed - but you already have! Glad its sorted
  15. Ah with trade insurance they will probably stipulate you'll need to be over 25. Thats probably where your mate is coming from.
  16. Wasnt until quite late on in the evening to be fair - you lot had a big opportunity to have them
  17. I had a few more than that - Jayne told me I had to eat them
  18. +1 - its all down to insurance and how deep your pockets are. Admiral/Elephant will be your best bet, if they will insure you for a price you are willing to pay - theres nothing stopping you
  19. I used to go but havent been for a while due to work commitments. Should be able to start going again soon - so long as the Saxo chavs arent there
  20. MMmmmmm cakes - they were great Those that missed out were not impressed - they should have been quicker!
  21. I would say your best bet for most servicing and mechanical jobs would be TGM Sport in Fleet. Tom and the gang are very well versed in 350z's. For anything a bit more exotic (mapping or turbo/SC applications) check out Abbey Motorsport in Oxted Do you go to the monthly Reading Jap meet at the footie stadium?
  22. +1 - we're looking at chopping in Amanda's Ibiza, and although the quote for it is about £6500 in Parkers, they called around other dealers and found out they are quite hard to shift atm with SEATs good deals on new cars, so dropped the price they are willing to pay to £4500 as they dont think they can shift it
  23. Amanda doesnt care how much I spend - she just expects whatever I get/use for my car to be used on hers as well
