  1. Stoked its finally a 6 speed RB26!! Sorry been awhile since an update saturday i got my plate, but had to drill and tap all the holes to end up with this sunday started getting into it after lunch with my cousin, milled the extra holes and widened some to make them work, tested it, things werent looking good, and chamfers weren't steep enough. tested it all made note of what needed doing, + what needed doing to the gearbox. one positive from the first test was the starter motor position was perfect and engaging the flywheel. and the fly wheel circle cleared it. went back to cousins work and milled some more things and i started grinding out the gear box to suit the starter clearance. couple chamfers still were tiny bit out so i ground the head flat on the counter sunk bolt, and had to also scallop the edge out to suit a stud for the gear box. enough talk and time for pictures. *thumbup* to excited to put the box on and forgot to take a photo of how much i took out to clear starter motor. i also tested it and the starter work perfect still. im pretty ****ing stoked been a tough frustrating weekend on this. so there it is a Z33 gearbox behind the RB26 still need a yoke and slave cylinder still
  2. yeah i tried alex. price was a bit steep once the shipping is going to be put on and cheaper to find something here or out of the states. just looking for that one off person like on ebay that has a broken or rubbish one laying around to help out. will try R35lee and see if he can help. thanks.
  3. Ok so i managed to get in touch with this guy, said 25pound and i could have it, i just needed him or someone to cut the yoke off for me or give me the full dimensions and weight. waited for a reply. just get one, no one wanted it so he scrapped it. WHY!!!! ?????? so still looking....
  4. Looking for one for the gear box im putting behind the 26. $150 of 75 GBP out of japan doesnt sound like a nice price. someone must have blown a gearbox or something with a spare around. Cheers
  5. yeah didnt intend on buying parts from the UK very often, but i have a mate in shipping so could be worth a look. just joined, so hopefully i can pick up some parts. NZD is at its best its been for a long time.
  6. Anyone able to help with a contact?? Dam just having a quick browse on your ebay.... you guys have a lot of crashed 350z.
  7. well i picked up my gearbox in the weekend from Tauranga, (Beach city in NZ) and tonight i wanted to pull the gear box apart and take it to get 10-12mm milled off the face. I had some issues with pulling the bell housing off, turned out i had just forgotten to undo a hidden bolt. to see the big gears up close and how the box works, pretty exciting! and now they're sitting under gearbox oil soaked rags for the night. and i'll hopefully get it all back together tomorrow, and make this adapter plate this week hopefully. I also cleaned all the glue from the window jambs with a sharp chizel and worked a treat. tidied up the inside of the car car tools and rubbish was building up.
  8. OH WOW exactly what i need!!! dam i wouldnt know how to use ebay or anything, is anyone able to help me out get a email contact for that guy?? it might work out cheaper from him and shipping it. any help appreciated.
  9. Thanks for that, i have been in touch with Alex. hopefully can sort something out. Still open to idea's though....
  10. Yeah Bronzee she's a big bugger. Its a super model as well with the 7 bladed cnc'd billet compressor wheel and a steel straight cut exhaust wheel. and a nice tight bearing with no play in it at all. It came off a bus that blew its motor under warranty, so they replaced everything. basically brand new. And yes these are built to go hard all day long, so im more worried about my motor than the turbo. looking at the compressor maps i dont think it'l run out of puff at all. Thanks for all the welcomes guys.
  11. Hi All Well using a 6 speed box from a 350z in a conversion and looking for a drive shaft yoke to suit. any help on other makes and models that might fit is good as well. Or someone might have a cashed 350z Auto or Manual that the carbon shaft has been smashed up in and would like to sell the yoke. or someone has done a manual conversion and has a auto shaft sitting around. Cheers Shaun
  12. cheers for the welcomes guys. HAHA yeah the bottle of beer, pity its still full... Thats just to show people from down here the size of the HX40, dont use a phone or pen to get a size scale. everyone knows beer bottle sizes. haha Holset isn't a big name within the car scene here as Garrett's are the big thing. so i intend on using something other people think are only suited for bus and trucks, and showing them how hard all day long these can go! on E85 i think the HX40 will go well. i have a rb30 block waiting on the side if the 26 doesnt want to co-operate.
  13. Hi, Thanks. Yeah should be a interesting projects. we have some great fabricators here and the 8 point cage and manifold and plumbing work should come out really nice. WOW 5 posts didnt take long....
  14. yeah sure was BRONZEE. thanks for all the comments guys. hopefully i can get this gearbox to work behind the rb26. motors going for rebuild soo, so its just a long block at the moment. just picked up another spare box in the weekend for $600NZD / £300
