  1. Think I maybe better do the same - mine seems to be working less effectively these days too.
  2. Tim, Are they the same for a JDM as the UK one? I've never dared to try to open mine yet to check.
  3. Brilliant pics, Tilly. Wish I'd been there.
  4. Had a bit of deja vu when I saw that second picture - almost the same as one posted after last year's event, except for the puddles!
  5. See picture of Tim's splash guards on this thread. http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8323&highlight=splash+guards That's what persuaded me to get mine. Got them from eBay (£40) and got them painted for £60 locally.
  6. Looks like you had a good day after all. Great to see a convoy of Zs like that!
  7. Now, now ,jim, that's not nice It was a bit childish, cos I'm envious. The car looks great! By the way, where do you get the Collonite?
  8. Hello and Car looks great - wish I'd had the balls to go for the sunset, but the better half liked the GM - oh well!
  9. Oh well, here goes from another oldie - 1. 1954 Morris Minor (cost £10 in 1969, with seized engine, bought a Morris Traveller for £15 with 998cc engine as donor car) 2. 1961 Austin Mini (floor eventually perforated) 3. Ford Escort mk. 1 (death trap - will never own a Ford again) 4. Austin Maxi (surprisingly versatile until engine seized) 5. Morris Marina saloon (not too bad, actually) 6. Morris Marina estate (dire - no wonder British Leyland went under) 7. Datsun Stanza (first decent car I owned) 8. Rover 216 (Oh dear - why did I go back to British?) 9. Renault 21 (Much better - did huge mileage with few problems, including a couple of trips to France) 10. Lancia Thema (my Dad and I were long term fans of Lancia, and this was the culmination of a dream - brilliant car) 11. Lancia Thema 16v (obvious upgrade) 12. Renault Laguna 1.8 (ok - finances prevented natural progression at that time) 13. Renault Laguna 2.0 (things looking up a bit then) 14. Honda Prelude 2.0 S (That's better!) 15. Honda Prelude 2.2 vti tiptronic (Brilliant - kept it far longer than planned - now my son is running it) 16. Nissan 350 Z (finally made it!) Meanwhile, the other half has had a Renault 5, Citroen ZX, Lancia Delta (x2), Renault Laguna, Volvo S40, Volvo V40, Honda CRV.
  10. I am really gutted for you, in that you are being forced to sell a prized possession like this. I remember when you first posted those photos that you have used in the ad. I hope that it all goes well for you, and that you get a good price for the car.
  11. Sorry to take this off thread a little, but I have been considering the purchase of a 37" set (can't fit anything larger into the small room). I have looked at a Panasonic 37" LCD and a Samsung 37" LCD. Both are 1080p HD ready and look great, but the recent Which report gave Samsung a poor overall rating for its LCDs (though they did not test this particular set - LE37M86BD). I've also considered the equivalent Sony set, but was not impressed by its appearance or price. At the same time, I have noticed that Panasonic now also make a plasma set at this size, though I'm not sure if it's resolution is as high as the LCD set. So now I am spoiled for choice. Anybody got any views on the long term benefits of going plasma as opposed to LCD? My main uses are for watching broadcast (Sky), occasional DVDs and showing our own digital images.
  12. This week's Autocar says £60k.
  13. Like the rims - will look out for them. Did you take the photo on Bellsdyke Road?
  14. Came home early, read the Autocar feature on the GT-R, then came on here and saw these pics etc. I WANT ONE TOO.

    As Promised **Pics**

That's one hell of a stubby aerial! What kind is it? And is that the standard alezan leather seats? Oh, the car looks great, by the way.
  16. Sorry I can't help you with the lens problem. Maybe someone else on here can help.
  17. Depends on which part of Edinburgh you're in. Remember Trainspotting? Auld Reekie has its fair share of areas of multiple deprivation (ie. places you don't want to be after dark, if at all )
  18. Now I wonder which member of the McLaren team could have leaked that information?
  19. Good to see a new member referred by one of us. Now get the pics of the Z up here!
  20. In my previous garage, I rigged up a push switch on a post at the end of the garage which was the exact height of the bumper, and had a soft foam pad to cushion it. When the car nudged the switch, a light bulb was illuminated on the wall. Worked a treat. I used to have carpets on the walls too, because it was a brick wall. My current house has an integral garage and the walls are plasterboard, so it's less of a worry. I've got a small piece of carpet tile on the wall at the exact spot where the door when opened touches the wall, once the car is far enough into the garage. Again, works a treat!
  21. Good choice of colour. It can be quite expensive coming on to this forum - lots of ideas for mods!
  22. Is this thread in the right section - the problem is not confined to JDM cars.
