    36" sony telly

Sorry to take this off topic, but I have been trying to find a recent post which gave the URL of a website which gave great prices for LCD and plasma TVs. I think it was in a thread started by someone who was looking to buy a 42" set. and was being advised to go for plasma. Can anybody point me to the thread?
  2. Too fussy - they just look as if they have been stuck on as an afterthought, not as part of an overall design. Might go better on a Nismo bumper, though.
  3. I'm tempted, but the timing is not so good - lot's of expense at the moment and my financial adviser is not sympathetic.
  4. Yes, and Yes. It's a bit of a tight squeeze, and I always fold the mirrors in first, just in case.
  5. Actually, he's from the city known as "Furry boots city". That's got nothing to do with the fact that it's always freezing in Aberdeen, but reflects the local dialect, as in "Far aboots are ye fae?" (Where do you come from?)
  6. Would they fit a JDM standard model currently with 17" wheels? What about offsets?
  7. Yeh - wheels made in Scotland, from girders.
  8. Just get some pictures up mate maybe to avoid this again, get some pics up of these with the site written in red pen on a piece of paper resting on them? That usually will get people on your side Or an Irn Bru can. Those wheels were made from girders!

    UNDERCAR NEONS

Thank goodness - he sees sense at last.
  12. I don't pay any more for my JDM than I would for a UK car. When I was trawling the web a few months ago, I typed in both versions for quotes and was surprised at how similar they were. Some companies just won't quote for an import, however, and a few seemed unable to distinguish between them in their model lists. Overall, I wouldn't let insurance concerns put you off. Mine is a standard model (not an S or ST) and it does not have a height adjustable seat, though I'm a shortarse too and I find it ok. The tiptronic gearbox is very smooth and changes are blisteringly fast. I love it. The car is a 2003 model and I've had it for 18 months, mileage just over 30,000 miles - so far so good!
  13. Might also get a quote for a Kalashnikov...... Have to say I agree with most of the reactions so far on here, especially with those who point to bad, or total lack of, parenting.
  14. Not me - don't have a warranty.
  15. Solution's simple - take the £26k and import a nice white one! Oh and by the way Good to see another Scottish member on here. It's a memorable day to join, too, with today's result at Hampden.
  16. Thanks - I thought so. I found a previous thread which concluded much the same.
  17. My local Nationwide Repair Centre is offering this for £200. Anyone had any experience of it? Apologies if this has been covered before. Mods - just realised this is in the wrong place - feel free to move.

    Announcement

+1 This is really the only forum that I look at, or post to, and I hope it continues to go from strength to strength. The help and advice I have received through the members (including Val) have been absolutely invaluable.
  19. Was that for your Z? If so, I need a slightly bigger one - the hooks are 90 x 60 and I think the Z ones are about 60 x 60.
  20. Good idea - I'll get the old man to measure up tomorrow. Cheers
  21. Anybody know where to source one without paying £66 (yes £66 ) to a stealer. That's what my old man was quoted recently. I just missed one on eBay last week and there don't appear to be any more on. Any suggestions?
