  1. Thanks for the responses guys - job sorted now
  2. My youngest son having reached 30 decided he really had had enough of IT and wanted to be is own boss. Decided that black cabbing would give him that 'freedom' and is now doing the knowledge in London - fortunately with support from his girlfriend in terms of accommodation, and having just got a part-time delivery job with Sainsbury's earning just enough so no tax to pay. Oh, and with the odd bit of help from Dad and so he can keep his car. Goal is to pass the exams in time to be cabbing for the Olympics, so for some while he is going to be rather skint and its not much fun out on the moped in winter. But in this present climate leaving employment without something else arranged is very scary - especially when we heard yesterday that 95% of jobs that were taken up were part-time. And its going to get worse before its gets better
  3. Thread locked as item sold
  4. Mine does Not on MY06 cars........... Spot-on - when I picked up my new 350 in December 06 I thought someone had swapped over s/wheels
  5. I would get that checked pronto - you may have damaged one of the pads in the process of freeing it from the caliper
  6. Not sure if this true, but I was told at the weekend during a ZED mini-meet that if you insert the first 4 digits and the first one of the second 4 it will default to the road you are looking for. I have yet to try in the 370 as the early models with the 'connect premium' also, and surprisingly) do not have the post code feature. Good luck, and BTW - Welcome to the forum

    first service

You might want to check if the dealer, if it is not one of the 'perfomance centres', are in a position to service the car as my local dealer (which I did not buy the car from) said they couldn't
  8. Good news Graham Going to be an expensive year doing the best for the two main loves in your life
  9. I am sure a few on here would like to see that, if you/Mr420Z would care to share the date
  10. Rear light - gotcha Those vids are awesome and really do bring your car to life - have to say it does sound and look the business

    Stillen Exhaust

All worked well for me - I think Margaret Lo at Stillen is doing some good business with us - might have to see if some sponsorship for the forum is in order
  12. I'm still grinning after a years ownership of the 370 - but then I was after nearly 5 years of 350 ownership
  13. Not your day Ricey As for the clamping - have alook at CAB advice here. http://wheelclampers.co.uk/advice.html I doubt that sign meets the requirement that the noitce can be clearly seen.......... or read. Might be worth an ask of the local Trading Standards
  14. Welcome to the forum That temper orange 309bhp is cheap and if it all checks out would be excellent value. A colour that is rare but 'rice or nice' - and maybe why dealers price it low as the colour is way removed from their safe shades of grey
  15. Welcome to the forum That's one very nice list of mods you have done there and the car looks supurb and particularly like the painted roof with the tinted rear window.......hmmmmm Curious though: "EVO-R Rear F1 style Fog light" Does that mean it flashes like the F1 cars when it rains - not that you must get that very often Or is the optional OEM fog light which is standard in the UK and does not flash?
  16. Nicely put pptom and reminded Ricey
  17. If you are tall and have the seat all the way back - then as Mark (Abbey) said I get it in the 370 too, so I just the ease the seat forward a smidgen and the noise is gone
  18. Looking good and yes, a change of exhaust makes the 370 sound like a sportscar should and as you say with the syncro-rev its magic - but watch the mpg drop as you enjoy more shifting The blue tips blend well with car - very colour co-ordinated
  19. As Stew says - awesome build - and as it is way beyond my full understanding I'm guilty of being one of the silent majority (see the number of views of your thread), but if it is encouragement you want - THEN YES PLEASE, KEEP THE BUILD PROGRESS COMING A couple of questions. Did/do you feel the need to strengthen the crash bar as to my eyes and without, it seems that the central section might be quite weak and if there was a corner impact the original depth side 'wings' may too easily bend back and damage other components? With the amount of heat being dissapating from the rads, what are you doing to get rid of that from the engine bay? I am aware that cooling was one of ZMANALEX's bugbears (which he has probably resolved), or does the different engine mean you do not see that as an issue?
  20. I expect an awful lot of us on here would love a job working with the RB F1 team - thats also plays as hard as it works and still beats much richer teams.
  21. I could make that on the Sunday
