  1. No doubt the 350 wil be one of the all time classics and yours will be up the top of the most highly desirable variants, so no arguement there
  2. Darren-B is in Kent and has a black one, no, I'll reword that, he has a Kuro ZED and I am sure he would give you a 'spin', to save you going to Surrey In fact the Grasshopper Inn just west of Westerham on the A25 can't be too far away for you to drop down on Sunday week when he will be there
  3. You ought to start your own thread - much better way of getting responses that coming in on the back of a semi-related thread
  4. Difficult to say whether the spacers are increasing stone chips down the side but the 'mud guards' are hopefully helping to cut down that problem. The sills of the 370 are certainly more prone to chips than the 350, but having said that the front of the car has remained relatively chip free. Maybe that's because I tend to lead more on ZED drives these days You have just remined me about ordering some paint - the touch-up 'pen' I got from the States (NISSAN US own offering) is not very good - have just used it to stop the chips I have picked up from spreading
  5. Here is a pic of the MY06 engine bay - which you hope you are not getting, if that helps to remind you?
  6. FORGET THE REGISTRATION DATE - not sure how more plain I can make that. Did you not see my post and link below showing the engine for a 309bhp/313ps model: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=45584
  7. Thread locked as item sold
  8. Had one drive and still have the 350 Yeah but you drive like a sissy. One proper drive is all it takes - ask Colin Now who was that first test pilot of mine If you are prepared to put the 350 back to standard chances are you would get a good s/h price and without the hassle of selling privately And you get to sell some quality bits you have your ZED. It is such a shame when we see so many good ZEDs belonging to members on here not shifting and with more coming up than being sold its not easy, so I would say take what might appear to be a 'hit' s/h wise as in the long run it could save you an awful lot of hassle, and money. Then again you might find you don't like the 370 enough anyway. But try to do an unaccompanied test in one, that is what I did way back in October 2009 and that convinced me it offered as much (and more) as the 350 on the road, as well as the one I drove on track
  9. Great looking bumper but that lip looks low - and would be getting cosy with the humps round our way
  10. Yep, still using the spacers and can't say there is any real difference in feel with or without them in normal road use. There might be a a little more cornering grip, but I'm aware there is a slightly more sudden breakaway than without them as ZEDS are otherwise very progresive in the oversteering department. Tramlining is the same, with or without - hopefully will get that dialed out with some different tyres and maybe a tweak on the geometry sometime soon. Added the spacers mainly for looks and they do have the effect of the tyres seemingly filling the arches more so hence I don't get so many "needs lowering and spacers" comments
  11. Lots to look at here Sunday week viewtopic.php?f=93&t=44887&hilit=Brighton+Drive Get over early and I'm sure someone will take you (or more likely the girlfriend ) for a little drive
  12. 47 - can't be better take it easy on then, to save yourself for Wales weekend as I have to
  13. Calendar safely arrived with spotted cards Roll on May and July
  14. And just to make sure, here is thread (courtesy of AK350Z) showing what the 309bhp engine looks like viewtopic.php?f=35&t=34166&hilit=engine
  15. Yeah, but with the Harrier has more kudos, especially when you land it in the back garden and tell the neighbours its your new 'shed' to replace the Rover
  16. Probably cost the same amount to fuel it up
  17. Only a small handful of the MY06 facelift ZEDS are on 06 plates. And then quite a few of the MY06 were not sold well after the MY07 model was released - many traders get it wrong and it can be confusing given the external differences are quite small Be aware that MY07 'bulge' bonnets have ben added to earlier ZEDS- a popular mod that can catch the unwary out.
  18. Have a good one Al
  19. Super thread indeed And thanks for the very full answers to my questions, although I'll admit to not understanding everything you said, But you certainly do seem to have thought the project through very thoroughly and then to take the time to update this thread is a real credit to you
  20. You will find in any serious rally car the navigators seat is as low as possible to help reduce the cars centre of gravity, together with the switchgear and anything else that can be re-sited. Some navigators can barely see out the windscreen and side windows they are so low So even Clarkson would look small alongside the Stig in the car - probably the very reason he was not in that sketch apart from pooping his pants .
  21. Expect they thought you were having a laugh with a car so young and not even run in
  22. Car sold - thread locked
  23. Thanks for the responses guys - job sorted now
  24. My youngest son having reached 30 decided he really had had enough of IT and wanted to be is own boss. Decided that black cabbing would give him that 'freedom' and is now doing the knowledge in London - fortunately with support from his girlfriend in terms of accommodation, and having just got a part-time delivery job with Sainsbury's earning just enough so no tax to pay. Oh, and with the odd bit of help from Dad and so he can keep his car. Goal is to pass the exams in time to be cabbing for the Olympics, so for some while he is going to be rather skint and its not much fun out on the moped in winter. But in this present climate leaving employment without something else arranged is very scary - especially when we heard yesterday that 95% of jobs that were taken up were part-time. And its going to get worse before its gets better
