  1. Yup... same here.... Sunday drive and food... +1 You are now listed
  2. The Club's public insurance liability for this type event means that the maximum number of cars that we can accommodate for a drive-out is 50. So as of today's date there is are just 6 spaces left for the Sunday drive-out, unless we get cancellations. If anyone knows that they will need to cancel, or as soon as they do, please pm me. This is also important where members have booked accommodation at Moreton for the Saturday night so that we can re-allocate rooms to late-comers before Moreton are told. I will shortly be posting up a list of entrants and what we so far know as to requirements, so please watch for further news on this thread
  3. The recent posts are very helpful. Given Neilp and docwra explore the limits on track etc and therefore want tyres suited for the purpose and as I found from my motorsport days in the past, race experience does give you a different level of confidence for the road. So when your car does move about unexpectedly, (or provoked ) there is a better chance of knowing the reaction required and saving the day. The same goes for Dan (Ekona) who I am not surprised has held off posting for fear of repeating himself (if nothing else ). As Chris'I says and others of us who have ZEDs for quite of few years know, you will be safer on 4 matched tyres for everyday driving - yes in the dry you can get away using all sorts of rubber but come our (usual) wet conditions the best quality set of tyres you can afford is really essential to help you get the best from the ZED and in relative safety. So many times oil spills and the like have been blamed for accidents at roundabouts etc. But if we are honest we know that what are invairably going to be slippery conditions at such places is where you use the appropriate degree of caution before leaning onto the loud pedal. The point about having 4 matching tyres in such circumstances, and yes ideally with the same wear rate although the fact the fronts on the ZEDs last better, is that individual tyre construction will affect their break away limits - some do it progressively some give little warning - usually the low budget tyres. Personally I found the 452 Falkens fine for typical road use and gave good grip in wet and dry. But I agree that on track in the dry they would be pretty hopeless, but in wet track conditions I'm told they are as good as anything. Quite different to using 888's that are great in the dry but require a great deal of respect in the wet . I have no doubt the tyre debates will always feature and if you look back on here you will see many over the years. But hopefully those new to ZED ownership will be better informed when it comes to tyre choice because lets face it no one wants to go out an spend hundreds and hundreds of pounds on new rubber, or try and skimp on tyre purchase, only to find it has been money wasted and does not enable them to enjoy the full potential of their ZED.
  4. A Zed on mixed tyres is a whole different ball game to the front drivers you mention. You cannot possibly getting the full potential from your Zed and in the wet it is likley to be a death trap. I've lost count of the number of times those who have been happy having mixed tyres and have then decided to bite the bullet and get a matching set suddenly find their ZED has levels of grip they had not believed possible. But you will not know until you try
  5. Great post and some quality mods there Perhaps you can get down to one of the Surrey area meets so we can appreciate the work all the more - watch the forum for the next date In the meantime spaces are running out fast for the Wales weekend where you can really test out the suspension and brake mods - see my sig for details.
  6. Not a lot - I didn't keep the url you posted but it didn't need all of what you had put down in order for it to open
  7. Operating instructions (only UK 350's with fitted cradle) Power up: Pairing : Insert the Nissan 350Z Bluetooth Adapter (hereinafter: BT Adapter) in the hang-up cup of the hands-free set (HFCK). If you connect now the power supply of the HFCK, the BT Adapter will also be activated. A long signal is audible. The BT Adapter tries for 40 seconds to establish a connection to the last connected mobile phone. If you wish to establish a Bluetooth connection for the first time, you have to activate the Bluetooth function of your mobile phone and search for Bluetooth devices. In this case search for a device labelled "NISSAN 350Z", please select it and enter the PIN number 1234. It is possible using different types of mobile phones, that the device “unkown†will appear instead of “NISSAN 350Zâ€. In that case please select “unkownâ€.The Bluetooth connection (interconnection) will then be established between your mobile phone and the BT Adapter. If a connection has been set up, the left diode blinks red. If it is not possible to establish a connection, please check and update the software release of your mobile phone. The BT Adapter has a memory for the storage of the identification of up to 4 mobile phones. In case a fifth mobile phone is connected the oldest entry in the BT Adapter memory is cancelled. If you wish to cancel a Bluetooth connection, you can either disconnect it conveniently at the BT Adapter or at your mobile phone. It is only possible to establish one Bluetooth connection to a mobile phone at a time, even if several mobile phones which are known to the BTAdapter are within reach. 8. Have a great time Graham - try not to get too homesick for the ZED - I'm more than sure you will be doing a lot of 'making-up' when you get back
  9. I have it on reliable information that the Stillen exhaust on a 2009 370 with an uprev in the UK will achieve some 345bhp at the fly (310bhp at the wheels) Not sure how much the intakes might add but 350bhp at the fly seems doable. But of course with the inflated fuel costs around an uprev will improve mpg as the standard cars run unnecessarily rich, which is an important factor. All dependent though on the most essential ingredients - what the thing resting on your neck tells the thing at the bottom of your right leg to do
  10. M13KYF You're slowing up Sarnie
  11. Was the wheel balanced on the car or off - if the latter that might be the problem if your were not getting the vibration prior to the puncture and I presume you did not notice anything on your way back from L & G. As L & G have a good reputation on here you might be best off going back there to see what they say/can do
  12. Like the chair ready for you to sit back and admire the progress
  13. Its probably forgotten how to work
  14. New series at 7.30 on Channel 5. Includes Tiff and Jason playing with GTR's and VBH testing the Audi RS3.

  16. Taken outside the Marina Mandarin Hotel - which is located inside the F1 track. Couple of shots of the track where the cars go through the rear of permanent grandstand (it looks bloody tight at what, 60-80mph ) and also where it emerges on the marina side under the dark green section. Couple other pics of the Singapore skyline while I'm about it: Check out the deck that straddles the three towers (Marina Bay Sands) if you want to stay somewhere with a view http://www.marinabaysands.com/SandsSkyp ... _Park.aspx
