    Sneak preview

I think Stubbys are over-rated - but then I dont mind people knowing my car is Nissan!
  2. A couple of other guys have expressed an interest. I'll give them the details and let you know what they decide.... Is there a meeting time? Personally, the earlier the better especially on a Sat. JohnK p.s. I'm avoiding all politics on this one. If anyone decides to drop me in it I'll bail out!
  3. I was told (this was some time ago) that PayPal's insurance (that they use to cover this sort of problem) only covers them for transactions where both parties are in the North American continent. So, anywhere else, they wash their hands. I dont like them much either!
  4. Welcome! Re: point 2 - When I had the fancy laser wheel alignment process they set the sterring wheel straight before the final adjustments but note they did not remove or adjust its position..... JohnK
  5. Pleased for you Louis - I know you needed to get things sorted. And at least you got to do the Silverstion Parade Lap! And dont worry - we'll all still talk to you until you get another! JohnK
  6. Nope. Not his Reg, nor is it one in my list of GT4s!
  7. Passing public car park in Marlow about 8pm last night and there was an 05 plate, Ultra Yellow Gran Turismo 4 parked up. (Didn't have time to stop and card...)
  8. Welcome to the superfast UY club!! I'm in the process of updating the GT4 Register as a result of last weeks Silverstone event. The topic you need to see is at: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=999 No. 141's details have never been in the register before except the reg no which was picked up off an ebay ad many months ago. Cheers!
  9. I think he ought to confess himself! BTW - isnt that Ultra-Yellow stunning! Seriously - what a good day - lots of car chat, lots of cars, and the parade laps were fun - good job they didn't allow more than two, I was just getting the hang of being pace car around Goodwood and letting loose down the pit straight!! Woooooooooooooooooooooosh!!
  10. The side Z badges are a slightly different colour, but its difficult to see. JohnK p.s. They are also quicker than any other Z in the world - or mine is!
  11. Yeah, just been out and had a look and my (ex-)tyre dealer fitted EZs, which have a different tread pattern. Although Bridgestone assured me these are ok, I'll be glad when I've worn them out!
  12. If the Stones are new replacements its worth checking they are the right tread pattern variant. I'm currently running the wrong ones (cant remember which they are without going outside to look!) and although they seem fine in the dry they dont disperse the water as well in the wet.
  13. I've recently had mine fitted after 36k miles (missing from new!). Definitely changes the handling at 40-60 mph (for the better) but seems to have become twitchier at around 90mph.
  14. and whats wrong with The People's Front for Judea??
  15. Briefing is 11.30 and letter with tickets implies possible entry queues. JK
  16. I'm three miles away from Goring so if I can help ....... (Not sure what help I'd be on a used car - but, Hey!) JohnK
  17. On Friday, 18th, from top of airport bus, Azure 04 D parked on a shop front in north Dublin. On Saturday, 19th, Dublin Heuston station car park, Blade (I think). (Also spotted several empty Guinness glasses )

    shell petrol

I've used either Tesco or Shell since new (36k miles). 95% Tesco and 5% Shell - cant feel enough difference in the two apart from price, plus, I'm old enough to remember Shell have produced two "super" formulations that have caused long term engine damage. They've probably learnt their lesson now but I'm risk averse!
  19. I had my dealer do some boot scratches and as mall hole in the passenger door (those stilettos are a pain!). They used another company to do the work and it was excellent - they actually spray a new finish on. Cost the dealer £100 for the large scratch they put on the rear brace trim and me £150 for a number of scratches in the boot plus the hole. If a specialist in Exeter is any good to you, they're called "The Plastic Surgeon". There was one downside however - overspray on the whole rear three-quarters of the car - fine black dots! Dealer took it into their bodyshop to remove and re-wax. Cheers!
  20. I'm afraid the numbers weren't allocated in any order.......
  21. Mines still the only 06 UY Good thinking Sarnie!
  22. They only kept it to annoy Sarnie! Perhaps they've got another one hidden away as well!

    GTR video

Will you guys stop showing clips of the GT-R. I'm putting my pennies in the pig as fast as I can .............
  24. My dealer was asking £75 for gas top-up and summat else to do with the impellers. I negotiated it done for less ...... Many manf'r's say it should be done every two years, but my stealer also says that none of the regular man'fr's include it in any service - its always an extra. JohnK
