  1. I'm not keen on blue on UY - that's why the country panel on my numberplate is black rather than the standard EU blue. (There are yellows and there are ultra-yellows!)
  2. I take it the lip in the bonnet (hood) on the black one is where Kit's neon lights are?
  3. I have new lady friend - two dates so far so Weds will be the third. I've booked local Thai (four courses plus dancers) and will also deliver Choccies and Pink Champagne.
  4. Talk to BigPhil - He's fixed me up and we talked through the options. I'll be running Ferodo DS2500s on the front with OEM on the back. Thanks again Phil.
  5. I'm about to trawl through the various topics regarding as to where I might get the above, but if anyone happens to read this and has some that I might be able to collect or have shipped to me for tomorrow, could they please get in touch. (I wont bore you with all the details but dues to a communication problem (!) my recent brake pad change was only done on the rear and as of now I have no front pad material left!). Thanks,
  6. Pictures came out in reverse order so although captions are correct please read from bottom up! Re: the blue one. This is the type I described earlier. In this case the recess is full of polish but you can just about make out it has been painted blue (bad monkey!). Attached below is one more pic of a Z owner who had some fitted on a number plate surround...
  7. I hope there are pictures below ...
  8. p.s. I can supply pictures of the different types if that helps... How sad?
  9. I became a world level expert on nissan supplied parking sensors last year There seem to be two different types fitted by nissan dealers (although I did come across a third type it was only on one car in my meet-wide survey). The type that has an inner disc, a circular recess, and then an outer ring are what I've got. The important thing with these is the circular recess should not be painted. It clearly says this with the instrcutions supplied with the kit to the dealer, but sometimes a monkey runs off with these and the spray man coats everything in sight! (The kit actually contains some masking rings to go in the recesses when the painting is being done but the monkey eats these) The painted finished produce doesn't look quite as neat due to the black recess, but its fine from a distance and it works!

    Freelander 2

Saw one of these today and was surprised by how nice it looked (much better than the current Disco IMO!). Anyone drive one or looked one over? (This was an SE TD4) Cheers!
  11. We had noticed - and made a note of your name!
  12. PMSL Is is NISMO V.4 made in wood-fibre? Yeah, it's the limited edition "Path to Beach" version. I thought all good spoilers are made from MDF? At least thats what my best Chav told me .....
  13. Many happy returns - Driving as well as birthdays! And dont worry, there's a good few years of Z driving ahead - take it from one who knows!
  14. My advice: Only buy Vista with a new PC. Anything else could be painful (despite what it says on the box!) JohnK
  15. I'd be up for a meet organised here (as I have been for Goodwood and Stonesfield), but NOT if its was organised for the same date as the other groups meet. I think that would be petty and not in the interest of Z owners (I'm not a paid up member of the other group for a number of reasons, but the SE section has previously welcomed all Z owners to its meet, done preparation for the Duxford one and I, for one, will attend that). Meanwhile I think its a good idea to rename the thread. I think the thread name caused a lot of people to become confused about things. Just my two-penn'orth...
  16. This was Steve's last post in the other forum: "Yes.... I am waiting on the Duxford management to put me in touch with the other car club The 350ZOC will not be the only club attending, the trouble is that I have no idea as to who the other club is I will badger the management again this forthcoming week " Doesn't sound to me like he's invited another club ...
  17. I've had a Meguiars wash mitt for just over a year and have been really pleased with it. However, it's looking a little tired so I'm going to invest in a new one. This leads me to two questions: 1) Is there a better Mitt out there I should consider? 2) How do you look after your mitt - When mine's dirty I tend to pop-it in the washing m/c with the towels. Non-bio detergent, 60 degrees, Linens. Is there a btter way? Answers welcome from all, especially you detailers!
  18. Well thats really motivated me to help! Fact: Steve came up with this meet as SE Coordinator to the OC. Its not a members event and all Z owners are welcome (I, as a non-member, went to last years at Paddock Wood and it was good day). Fact: Steve asked how many of our members might show up. I presume (but dont know 100% for certain, but am more than willing to beleive) this was so he could give numbers to Duxford. Steve says Duxford Management are discussing with a different club their request for the same date. It was implied that this wasn't us and I also believe that. Or has someone on here made an approach to Duxford to throw a spanner in the works? My current view: If Steve can organise an event for Z owners in the South East, I shall attend in just that capacity. I would also encourage other Z owners to do the same, whether they be members of this forum or people I meet on the street!
  19. Oh, and why would we approach Duxfod Management as a separate entity, apart from trying to annoy other people?
  20. From my enquiry of Steve, and his reply, he made it clear the Duxford Management are talking to another make owners club about a meet on the same date. I think its very easy to read into a post something thats not intended, and when I've talked to him, he's always been clear "the more the merrier" (except for their members only formal events). So lets not **** anyone off, and just support his efforts to arrange a venue. I think it would be great if lots of 350Z owners could get together for a day, and I'm far too old get into a pissing contest (although I might win on frequency, rather than quantity!). More power to Steve's elbow and I'll support him any way I can. JohnK
  21. SteveB, I'll look out for you at Tesco Oxford around 11.30. Dont worry if it cant be done, I wont wait long. Will then go Ring Road, A44, etc, etc. Cheers!
  22. I'll be heading north through Crowmarsh (nr Benson) around 11am to call at Oxford Tesco's for some go juice. Alternately, I could be talked into a mini-meet at Abingdon Tescos on the A34??... Wherever our cruise is, we should include Burford, and the road from there NW towards Stow on the Wold. Its a blinder! See you all JK
