  1. Ok Son.... You know Rolls Royce is in Derby don't you !? yes i believe they tried to head hunt my dad there, i think it must have been RR, although i remember him going up that way to do something with dunlop, but i might have that completely wrong. my old man works for SR technics, to be honest i'm not sure what he actually does, i know its management, but what exactly i don't know, all i remember is that the only people above him are the board of directors. is that high enough to sit and do nothing
  2. my dad works in aerospace maintenance at stansted, your in derby so i doubt your my daddy
  3. If you go OINK OINK during that time, please let us know... AFAIK, all sets of 5Zigen nuts come as 16 regs and 4 locks thanks for spelling it out for me and yes it is swine flu
  4. those metal ones are growing on me, would like to see a side by side comparison to stock see what i prefer
  5. BM i didn't know if you were talking about the ones we were discussing originally, like i said above, stupidity comes naturally
  6. How long does it take to recover from the type of illness that you have or is there no hope or cure. my stupidity, well thats permanent, as well as my partial deafness, my ability to read, that will come with practice, the flu symptoms i think give it 2 weeks and i'll be fine
  7. sorry alex, its just we changed the convo on the nut set, and i got all confused. you can see why i'm not at work, put me in a workshop full of kids and power tools its gaurenteed an accident while i'm ill
  8. and they came with a locking nut, just clarifying, as i have a flu head and things go in, but don't reach the brain in the correct order
  9. post 06 engines used a different lower plenum post 07 engines used a completely new intake and head hence the bonnet bulge
  10. did you get the same set or the shorter ones? i.e these ones http://z-store.co.uk/index.cfm?fuseacti ... entCat=263
  11. have a butchers at this viewtopic.php?f=26&t=27786&hilit=+likwid+art got all the info you'll ever need
  12. so its just to make them easier to get in i though it might have been like the rays ones where they have a cap and a special tool for fitting
  13. guys i just found these fantastic nismo 19's wheels in derby, got them for a real bargin price, some one had left them lying around tarmac i heard you need a set do you want to buy them off me
  14. why do they make them so much longer (whats the benefit) and why the nurled top? i liked these volk ones because of there anti theftness etc, but i refuse to pay £200 odd for a set of nuts http://z-store.co.uk/index.cfm?fuseacti ... entCat=145
  15. are they red? and is there 5 locking nuts in there as well? partly why i'm asking as i want red lug nuts but want 1 on each rim to be a colour coded locker (i nearly posted "i want red nuts" but changed my mind, but thought i'd post it anyway, because it made me laugh )
  16. I'm looking at getting a set of these for when my wheels have been refurbed, but i know very little about them http://z-store.co.uk/index.cfm?fuseacti ... entCat=263 reason i ask is that recently when i took my front wheels off to do some work i used the bar that comes with the car i.e. spare wheel remover etc. well it damaged the paint in the lug nut holes, and i don't want to do the same to the new refurbed wheels. (my fault i should have used a proper socket and breaking bar) what i want to know is: Will these work with the rays? will i have a silly amount of metal sticking out from each lug nut hole? how exactly do you put them on, is there a special tool or something? i would just go for some standard lug nuts in Red, but the rays and the other Team 5Zigen ones don't look like they have a locking wheel nut to them, or do they? i don't want the 4 red 1 silver look per wheel, but i also don't want to be without a locking nut either.
  17. good for you i'm hoping next week the bodyshop will tell me mines ready to be fitted, am hoping to coincide it with the service at the same time
  18. i emailed them to my dad, he's a manager for an engineering firm and i'm sure he'll see the funny side. another favorite is office terms like: seagull management = fly in crap on everyone from a great height and then fly out. percussive maintenance = hit it to fix it can't remember any of the others, but there was a whole list of them
  19. rtbiscuit
