  1. its stupid people like him that mean we have stupid signs and instructions on things like this http://airportshotelsandparking.files.w ... _signs.jpg
  2. i have run the lego league at a previous school, and my boss runs it at my current one. students get given robotic lego to build with and have to complete challenges with their lego built robots. big national competition, have even won a couple of trophies with a few groups as well.
  3. personally the CF should be more heat resistant than the plastic and shouldn't warp or distort as easily as what looks to be ABS on the kinetix. i believe kinetix chose to use plastic for more rapid production in greater numbers to allow for cheap manufacturing and highr profit. in theroy they had a good idea with their plenum but in reality they have suffered issues. some crack some don't and they have done a good job with customer relations by offering replacements etc and doing 3 revisions. but due to being stuk with that material they are still going to have issues.
  4. sorry martin you lost me? which £800 plenums have failed. are you following a thread i'm not cos i don't know where this came from always up for discussing it though. materials and tooling is my job
  5. i think he's pulling an MG rover do you work for an icelandic bank?
  6. IMHO i think its due to their material choice. CF i used correctly can be stronger than steel but lighter than aluminium. and should be able to offer the characteristics you need for a plenum. the area where the bolts are going through will also have the thickness of a spacer there that kinetix doesn't have. BMW run carbon plenums as do other brands in aftermarket parts, its not the first time its been used. and if its good enough for mclaren then its good enough for me.
  7. always worry when people refer to it as my advice, all of what i post is just my opinion, and as some can vouch i don't always get it 100% right. but you'll be pretty safe with this stuff as it is really good. IMHO
  8. should be able to achieve the same tight fit
  9. am happy with the Zed but don't see the 370 as an upgrade. if i was to change cars i doubt it would be for the next model up. never been brand loyal when it comes to cars. and each move is always for something different. i fancy a lotus next. possibly the evora. as for your idea no i'm not coughing up £67 that will pay for a mod on my own car
  10. 11) rtbiscuit 12) srobrien 13) DontPanic 14) Lamby 15) fatalus 16) Vik54 17) ikarus just been back and trawled the posts and got the current list for the next 10 does that seem all right, just need 3 more.
  11. need to get my name on the second list because as far as i'm aware i go tmyself pulled from the first list. if i haven't do i owe someone some money?
  12. i kinda missed the last series, but the ones before that were good. might try and get back in to it.
  13. that bloody thread is like a call to arms for the sprinkle community. its like an automotive sufferjet movement next thing we know they'll be burning their valet mirrors and and beating us on track days. dam those estrogen hormones ***shake fist smilie***
  14. omfg lol at least it will be worth the wait, got the rest of the cash waiting now scott once i've seen it and like it
  15. i'm going on the saturday, have a spare ticket if someone wants it
  16. i would say the ultimate tyre choice would be the michelin pilot sports, as they offer the best grip possible and i know several other track dayers use them and rate them extremely highly. the sessantas are about as close as you'll get while still paying only a bit more than the falken/toyo type price. toyos and falkens are good but i think the other 2 options are better. toyos tyre compound isn't as good as it used to be and i find the side walls to soft, and falkens are very good but only to a point, and mittedly you'll only find that point if your pushing extremely hard, and i mean super hard. so for everyday fast road users the falkens are good. but if your a track whore then i wouldn't. no point in turning this into a tyre review thread. as there are plenty of them already. but loads of info out there. some like the stones in o50 form other like pirelli rosso's, so lots of choice but for me taking into price and performance the sessantas are the best option for those that are fast road users etc and do the odd track thing.
  17. its easy neither of them and put the vredestein ultrac sessantas on, problem solved
  18. welcome to the club, the other sprinkles are a great bunch and play a big role in the club, so expanding the female ranks is always a good thing. you'll have to get some pics up
  19. i don't think you'll find suitable tyres for you until you start buying F1 slicks for track days
  20. sorry mate, was trying to do marky a favour, didn't know you were dibsing them look forward to seeing them on the car.
