  1. we could test it next time? i do love a good cider, always made me laugh a few years ago i got some proper scrumpy from the legless but smiling cider farm in cornawall. comes in a nice 4 pint jug. me and my mate cracked one open had 2 pints each, i was nicely rosey, but my mate ended up going to the loo to be ill, couldn't hack the booze in the scrumpy. made me laugh as he always talked the talk
  2. i used to be able to tuck away 7 or 8 pints of turbo diesel and still be able to walk home with out being sick these days i reckon 3 or 4 and i'll be pushing it
  3. thats really good going mate, glad to hear it kicking off. maybe my projections of 50 sales in the next 12 months mayt be a bit of an underestimation
  4. i think most people do, i just prefered to call it diesel as it looked like agricultural red diesel, and drinking either of them is never going to be good for you as for grape and grain. cider is classed as grape as it comes from a fruit where as beer is a grain.
  5. you own a pagani? and more shockingly it has pen control
  6. excellent job, there it gets a Mr T's A* grade
  7. to get the internal airflow dynamics right, you'd need to send it to a specialist to fine tune it. and we're talking about £1000's of pounds of testing to get it right. and all for a part that may or may not make about 10bhp. by fine tuning it you might gain 1 or 2 bhp. is all that financial investment for development really worth 2 bhp on an item that will probably only make about 50 sales( i could be wrong on this, but short term you've got us and the yank forums) will take a while to go further and take off.)
  8. best type of drinks are the ones that mix grape and grain. used to drink diesel (half cider, half lager, splash of blackcurrent)at uni, but my favourite was turbo diesel. (same as above but with a shot of vodka in it)
  9. shall we just dyno it and see what happens.
  10. my wife watches this, its bloody f*ckwit TV. britians got the sh1T factor. regardless of who wins their shelf life like most things will be very short. the only winners out of this are the music producers.
  11. i didn't need to go all day, so wouldn't know what the loos were like
  12. you wanna come spend ime in my workshops then, its like an aladdins cave of tools.
  13. not tried the asymetrics, but have previously used the eagle F1's the grip on them was good, but i found the side walls were horribly soft, and they seemed to pick up punctures far easier than other tyres, and they shredded on rough surfaces like gravel. i have the sessantas and have been very happy with them, nice stiff sidewalls like the bridgestones, excellent grip dry and wet. still very progressive breakaway. and alot harder to get the tyre to loose traction compared to the stones. this website has been very useful and also links to sevaral tyre review articles done in magazines internationally. and nationally. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/
  14. i'll put my plate through the bandsaw at work tomorrow
  15. otherwise known as the golf ball effect. air travels over it better due to it causing turbulence over the surface;allowing the air to travel faster over that surface. a very very basic cut down version of what was said above. the scientific demo of it would be a standard golf ball and a dead smooth golf ball. hit both exactly the same with the same force and the standard ball would go further than the smooth one.
  16. i'll hold out to see what you do with a flip key
  17. am i right in thinking these will be identical to the current key fob, but made of carbon fibre instead of the standard injection moulded plastic. i might be interested. but their is real potential to develop a flip key that would take out transponder. and that i would definetely be interested in.
  18. did you put a lock on specially for me i would have been happy just to sing and whistle while i was in there.
  19. not so difficult to remember, its at the bottom of everyone of your posts
  20. engine start up wise it was the same yesterday, so they only used the Spyker with the audi V8, the 2 ferrari's, the lambo V10 and the caparo T1. it reafirmed for me why i've always been a lambo man and not a ferrari girl. The spyker sounded awesome, and its rawness set off all the hairs on my neck and made me feel all funny inside. had a lovely tone and burble that was just magical. the 2 ferrari's did nothing for me, too high pitched for me the 599 was the better of the 2. then the lambo V10 on the gayardo, set all the hairs on my neck off again, gorgeous sound, more tuned than the audi V8 in the syper but just as good. the caparo was the cool, but rated the same as the ferrari's for me. really wanted to hear the konigsegg as its one of my dream cars, and wanted to compare the twin supercharged V12 to the 3 V8's and the V10 i heard. as for the show, it was very good, and definitely the high light of the day, and i like the way they try and do something different every year. overall its not been as good as previous years and there seems to be less than i remember previously. but still a good day out.
  21. i have no plate at the front at the moment, and everyone who admires the car, the first thing they say is where is your plate, but it makes it fairly obvious that the police will notice this its currently in the windscreen and i thought that was adequate for now, but apparently not according to the coach man. was told recently by one of the coach drivers that he had taken the plate off his manta, and got find £150 for not having a plate as it was an MOT failure. not sure how true this is, i thought they tell you to fix it within a time limit, didn't know they fine you now as well. if i get a vinyl plate (sticker type number plate) and its all spaced legally and sized perfectly (its not personalised) should that be ok? i just don't want to drill holes in my new bumper, or mount that horrible plastic thing that comes as standard, and sticky pads leave a horrible residue, so i hope that vinyl was a better approach. but i have a feeling its only allowed on cars of a certain age. i like the plates that other people have on their nismo bumper which are tiny tiny, but i fear i'm more likely to get pulled with that than a vinyl job. (i won't make it myself i'll get someone like craigplates to make it.)
  22. no worries but next time i'll your ears for it
