  1. i use poor boys leather care. really good stuff, use it once a month, keeps the leather supply and moist. been really happy with it. gives new car leather smell after using it as well.
  2. i only switch mine off when i go track side. or occassionally in the summer for a bit of fun. but wet weather its left on. big difference i found was changing my tyres especially in the wet. with my vredestein sessantas the traction hardly ever kicks in. car is a lot better at putting down the power instead of just spinning up the wheels. i would also say i drive fast, but i have a very smooth driving style. so don't seem to kick the old esp off very often.
  3. little pricey for what it is, better examples out there. basically what sarnie said
  4. only thing that is likly to be damamged is wheel alignment and steering.
  5. i'd be interested, but i don't have £550 floating about at the moment especially with the run up to xmas
  6. notice it was 4 royal marines and not ford mechanics who managed this at 42 seconds the ford mechanics would still be picking their noses
  7. these are top quality mate, looked great, have them in my car as we speak
  8. thats not a sandwich, thats a stater for a small child needs sausauges, hash browns black pudding brown sauce in it. with beans on the side
  9. i've done that occasionally but only with dry goods and nothing perishable. i think it gives the shelf stacker something to do i have found odd items in the chilled section though. the odd toy etc most times i put stuff back but there was one or 2 occasions where i was being dragged out of the shop by the missus, and only had time to swap one hot choclate for another and not put the original one back in its branded section
  10. welcome to the mad house, and remember all doctored photos of me are fake
  11. check your first post on tyres, just left some info in there for you. also if you come to the suffolk meet on the 15th of november in ipswich you cans see a variety there. might also be able to sneek a passenger ride out in some with different tyres to see the difference.

    tyres

if you don't like them put some new rubber on, i use the vredestein ultrac sessantas very good tyre and not bad price. others use a mix of Michelin pilot sports 2 Toyo proxies falken 452's the MPS2's are by far the best, but also very expensive there are a mix of other brands, but those 4 are the ones that come up most. the car normally comes with bridgestone RE040's as standard but aren't rated that highly on the forum as a wet tyre. i personally like them in the dry and they have excellent grip. but they are sliddy in the wet. but progressive at least.
  13. and the rest of mine, must admit i didn't take many
  14. Sorry this isn't a dig, but lots of ex Rex owners defend the rex saying it doesn't drink oil, and your right 2.5 litres isn't alot over the ownership.i'm guessing you had it 2 years? but considering the zed takes 5 litres at an oil change thats half the zeds oil drank. i've had my car a year and its drunk exactly 0 litres of extra oil. i had to do no top ups between buying her (just been serviced) to getting her serviced. to me that statement proves, the rex drinks oil. maybe not to the scaremongering levels that alot of other people talk of but for me that make it an oil drinker.
  15. why have we started another post about this? whats wrong with the event one? sorry to be anally retentive about this, but i'm following the same types of conversations about the same event on 2 different threads
  16. the bodyshop i use have repaired 2 things for me. an original Greddy front lip and a not so original nismo front bumper. the greddy wasn't difficult to repair but it was ABS so different techniques are needed to restore rigidity and flexibility in the material. the not nismo front bumper was GRP same as the real one. and the great thing about GRP is its a piece of cake to repair, and if done properly will still have the same structural quality and strength as the original (before break). if GRP isn't repaired properly and its done like a stick on plater then it won't be as good and will snap again. the big thing to look for in any kit is the thickness and quality of the GRP used. as well as the fitment. most issues bodyshops see with cheap kits is partly poor fit and needing adjustment (but the same can sometimes happen with originals) but also paper thin GRP with bubbles in, it cracks and splits and needs a shed load of prep to get it ready. i got nismo skirts from CS, fitment wasn't perfect, but then i factored that into the purchase at the time. but the one thing about the skirts from CS and the rest of the kit i had was the quality of the GRP. it needed very little prep (the new bits anyway) the front needed no adjustment.(had been previously fitted to another car). the bodyshop actually commented saying that the kit was very good especially as its a copy, when you compare it to some of the crap they've seen it was a relativly easy job. i think i got my whole kit, sprayed and fitted for about just over £1000, i wouldn't have even been able to buy the full original nismo kit for that price, let alone have it sprayed and fitted as well.
  17. You,ll get a biased opinion on here as most have a zed. I looked at both and decided on the zed. I didn't need back seats. The zed has way more torque. The zed is better looking, more fun to drive and more premium in it's appeal as few people own zeds compared to the Rex. And yes they are worth the extra premium. Easy to maintain, and fantastic Fun to drive. The Rex is a good car, but the zeds better. You don't have to rag the arse off it to go fast.
  18. Don't worry BM i haven't cleaned mine, so it will look shiney compared to mine
  19. i can't see how the headers would set off the ESP and slip lights? have you tried an ECU reset. i set mine off when i had a huge spin out on an airfield dash lit up like a christmas tree, did a quick turn off and turn on and they all went away. maybe a reset might cure yours?
  20. some good tunes, but not the kind of skating i did, those were on quads, i used blades, and i used to spend most of my time going backwards really fast to annoy all the quads who couldn't go as fast. and music wise i remember seeing steps there before they were famous
  21. my guess is the de cats, and you need some anti foulers
