  1. i can't believe i gave some one a nick name thats stuck and everyone else is using
  2. this is the one i want, but i can't see the point of paying for CF when i plan to paint it anyway. the only bit i want in CF is just the vents. is it possible to have vents in CF and the rest of the bonnet in FG to save on cost?
  3. i have nismo spats so the top secret one won't fit with the funny side bits on, but thats fine by me as its the one bit i don't like. so if you made a topsecret one with optional fanny bits on the side then i might be in.
  4. I thought I would have been minister for education and culture.
  5. Never knew noddy and big ears had a tuning house for high bhp cars. Lol
  6. it was great fun but just extremely knackering. especially the 6 hour drive back last night took ages as the m6 was shut at coventry.
  7. i would have said about 11k, but things have changed alot, and prices have gone up
  8. well you'll be pleased to know i've made it back and i am very tired just been through 14 pages on here to bring me up to date, doesn't look like much went on, its good to be home
  9. its my next possible upgrade, but not for a few years yet
  10. sounds good mate, look forward to seeing the pics
  11. i got my sessantas for about £487 from camskills and then cost about £30 to fit including spacers at the same time. cracking tyres been really impressed with them
  12. i got mine off ebay, had to have them cut down in the end to fit flush though.
  13. most likely, not, i doubt i'll touch a road for the majority of that, i'll see a bit of it when i'm the check point charlie driving between points, but when i'm walking it will be all paths and tracks and the odd mountain pass. i think we're averaging something like 15 miles a day over 4 days, been awhile since i've done it done the bronzes last year which is 15 miles over 2 days, doing bronze and silver this year, and silver is 30 miles over 3 days gold is something like 50 miles over 4 days. its done more on time spent walking now not so on miles so you can end up doing more.
  14. cheers fiddy, i'll have the iphone, but i got to conserve battery life. but i doubt i'll get much signal, no the area quite well. going from near betsy coed down to bala
  15. sadly i'm driving a minibus up there with all the bags in and i got a person to keep me company, to be honest rather that than the one full of kids,
  16. Ok guys this has been jumped on me at very short notice, but i've been called in on 18 hours notice to stand in for a colleague for a duke of Edinburgh Gold award practice expedition. They've hurt their back and I'm the only available and qualified person with experience, so I'm booked off for the next few days and I'm off to Snowdonia. think of me while i spend the next 4 nights under canvas up in wales, where apparently the weather is very wet and windy. I'll be a group leader and a check point charlie person, just packed up my kit tonight and my burgeon weighs a ton. enough food, supplies and kit to last 5 days. i'll be back on monday night so you lot better behave. no more dodgy pics please while I'm away, several of my students have been browsing this open forum because they love the car so much and wanted to learn more. so best behavior while uncle Richard is away. I'm leaving Husky in charge of spamming, and Stews in charge of Cleaning up. and if your naughty you'll have to deal with uncle martinmac and aunty Nixy. enjoy yourselves and i'll post up pics once I'm back, got withdrawal symptoms already

    Tyres

You got them on now? Ooh, we need to meet up so I can feel what they're like, might well be replacing the PS2s on mine next time round if they're any good got a meet on the 15th november if you can make it, you can come and take it out for a spin. i'll try and get to you earlier if i can. i love them, great grip car feels very planted, side walls are nice and stiff, feels very strong in the corners. no tire roll like i'v felt on things like the toyos. tail doesn't kick out like it was on the bridgestones, but that could be down to the fact theyt had very little tread on them.

i'd say go for the vredestein ultrac sessantas, i have them too, great tyre, good grip, better than the reo40's
  19. how much is this cable? i have software, just need to get an OBDII cable.

don't mix and match across axles you'll get 2 different grips front and rear, and run the risk of turning your car into a ditch finding missle. also not sure the eagle F1's make the right tyre size for the rear axle. think they do them fro the front sbut not the rears. anubis can run them as he has 19" wheels and they make them in that size.
  21. its a life style choice. not one i'd pick, but their decision none the less. at least they make themselves obvious so that you don't sleep with them by accident i worked at stansted for a while and one of the big security blokes that worked at the scanners one day went home as bob, and came back as barbara he was a big hariy bloke and when he turned up it was just bob ina a dress felt sorry for him as he had to do this for 18 months before they would start any treatment etc.
  22. fugly ducklings, i've always hated vauxhalls excpet the vx220 same as i hate fords except the gt40. styling has just gone down the pan these last few years. Vauxhall had done alright with there latest design corsa VXR and astra VXR, wouldn't have one but they weren't bad. but this is just dull. citreon horrid horrid horrid, cheap crappy crap. pugeot have lost all design style for a long time, they need to get rid of their branded whale nose that they stick on everything. its ruined there soon to be releasec RCZ coupe. they haven't done anything decent since the 205 GTI. i had a 306 GTi6 which was a good car, but still not as good as the 205.
