  6. i didn't know they were heated how do they come on, is it when you put the rear de mister on, or is there a button. if there is a button where is it cos i ain't seen it
  7. in zed terms think of it as a blade surrounded by ebisu's
  8. surrounded by a selection of our darker skinned brothers.
  9. i'd get an early s1 elise or exige, or vx220, pick them up for peanuts these days for what they are. early S1 had the k series engine but it was a lot more bullet proof in the lighter cars than when it was in land rovers. they did go, but it was down to cheap gaskets. rover saved a few quid per car by using cheap gaskets which blew out over time. i think hangar 111 sell new upgraded gaskets and once fitted i've been told no one who has them ever has a problem with them blowing. if you get one and they don't have the uprated gaskets i'd do it when you buy it as it would be cheaper. if you wait for it to blow you'll have to have the head re skimmed and your looking at about £500 ish for the job. Vx's don't have that problem, don't know a huge amount about them but speak to ekona as he had the turbo version or some of the other lads and they'lll know of any issues with those. if you want to do an engine converison i know a very good man who'll drop what ever you like in the back of an elise, he race tunes and preps elises for the elise cup. or as mentioned things like the caterham are great fun
  10. if there are some second hand berks going, i'd get them.
  11. direct from that website Driving on the motorway 259 Joining the motorway. When you join the motorway you will normally approach it from a road on the left (a slip road) or from an adjoining motorway. You should * give priority to traffic already on the motorway * check the traffic on the motorway and match your speed to fit safely into the traffic flow in the left-hand lane * not cross solid white lines that separate lanes or use the hard shoulder * stay on the slip road if it continues as an extra lane on the motorway * remain in the left-hand lane long enough to adjust to the speed of traffic before considering overtaking
  12. i didn't know they were called slip roads anyway. i thought they were launch ramps. i like to be at terminal velocity by the time i get to the end
  13. Wheels?
  14. i'm a blade silver driver, i used to use megs 3 part clean system with their carnuba wax. it was really good for the money. have just upgraded to Dodo juice supernatural as i had it recommended for me by envy valeting. and also use the redmist. like fiddy says its awesome stuff and so easy to put on. dodo supernatural can be bought in tester pots for about £10 they may look tiny but should do the car 7 times over. i've used it twice on my car and it hardly looks like its been touched.
  15. cov ring road is genius, it relies on the karma theory,
  16. german meats are awesome.
  17. i have the kinetix HFC's and have been happy with them, i got mine 2nd hand, low miles on them for only £200, so couldn't see the point of turning them down at that price. been on for over a week and no CEL's as yet. i like the berks as the have fixings that bolt them into place and togehter which the kinetix don't, but both are a good piece of kit. i'd say both are good but if you have the extra cash then go for the berks. if you don't then the kinetix will do a grand job.
  18. if you read it properly it states that to keep the car road legal it has to use manufactures brakes.
  19. It's a great deal. Even putting new tyres on a set of Rays it'd still be a good deal. If you want the wheels you'd meet the requirements, I honestly don't think they are bad at all..... +1 It seems everyone on here these days want something for nothing, Its the exact reason that I refuse to strip my car Good parts cost good money. Simples its a great deal, i would have had them and at that price i thought it was an extremely fair deal. but i've just had to pay a load of bills and i just don't have the cash, i couldn't even stick them on the credti card as their isn't enough left on it. £1000 for a set of volks with 6mm tread all round is a bargain.
  20. i'll look tomorrow night all the cars are out and i can get the ladder out to get up into the loft over the garage.
  21. +1 pu them up on here
  22. the amuse titanium is pretty stunning, as is the one fitted to the chilli's car and i quite like the look of carbon coops as well.
  23. prefer the beetle build thread
  24. used one on my old roadster mr2 and i didn't disconnect the battery, but it switched itself on and off as required.
  25. Time waster more like wishful thinker, if i wasn't remapping the car in the new year i would have been able to find the cash somewhere,
