stanski pm'd me this Blue smoke ?? Ok could be running rich? Plugs,timing, sensor off, check oil and water levels everyday is it over / under heating? Check vacuum pipes are not perished anywhere Did it just start happening suddenly? Timing ok? Has it been serviced as required? Old micras used to have duff distributors that wore on the drive shaft but I don't know your car model unfortunately? Are the tappets erm tapping loud or quiet? might be one of those?

whats the water bottle look like, is the water clear, or is it creamy, could be the head gasket going, might cause oil to leak to the exhaust?

have you checked in the spark plugs, is there any oil in there?

i prefer the standalone units like my pioneer, fast, bigger screen, more functions etc. i was always told something that does everything is never as good as something designed to do one job. when you have a unit thats all singing all dancing there has to be some compromises, i tend to find on PDA units it used to be slow to make changes, like coming up to a junction you could end up going past before it tells you to turn off.

if its a slow charger then yes its possible. have you tried starting the car yet?

to be honest i'd get a new lower arm and then drive her down to your local accident repair centre and get them to assess it. you don't have to pay them to do the work, but at least you'll know if you got everything. worse thing would be to miss the fact that the upper arm had snapped or pulled the mounting point out of shape and the car to end up in a worse accident as something fails later.

+1. Not sure if a Z4 performance matches that of a Zed either. Basic Z4 maybe not but Z4M - definatley has good power but the handling isnt as good, ride is extremely hard and heavy just doesnt communicate as well as the zed, but by god is it a gorgeous car. absolute stunner. hated the convertible but the coupe was so retro i love it. in the future i might swap over to it if i felt i needed to be abit more mature/proffessional.

i envolved my wife we went looking at a load of cars, i was originally set on an elise, but she said it wasn't a proper car as it didn't have carpet. looked at the rx8 but neither of us liked that. both liked the bmw z4m coupe but it was out of my price range at the time. both liked the zed, and it made financial sense. was organising it the week we got married, confirmed it on the honeymoon and had it delivered the day we got back she got a posh wedding, i got my car she even likes the majority of the mods ive put on, the only one she hasn't made her mind up on is my spoiler. when it comes to modding i use the divide by 3 rule and minus £60, so the majority of mods usually cost about £30 but most of the time she doesn't question it.

i have my original blade silver front bumper in my garage, ikept it to swap it back when i sold up, but i'm in 2 minds as to if it will sell better with the nismo stuff on(even thouigh it is a copy)

so it only took them 20 years to copy OUR letter bmw z4 isnt as powerful or handles as well, i love the z4m coupe, but when test drove it wasnt as good as the zed

agree with what nurrish said, i think the turbo route requires a lot more work. i also think that the supercharger route is more in keeping with the zed, giving a more linear power delivery all the way through the rev range unlike a turbo which is only on the power once in boost. down side is less torque,

sounds like UK is waiting for tyre shipments to arrive, yeah not as cheap as camskills but they are the closest in price. others are even more i think, or don't even supply them. i think black circles did them, but mytyres don't. might be worth a try. other option is to wait till feb if you want them, how critical are your tyres at the moment; some tread; or no tread? i'm not on commission, wish i was just found something that works very well on the zed and doesn't cost a bomb. you should like them, not heard anyone get them and not like them so far.

your better off with a trickle charger, and they are around the same money. it will turn its self on and off as and when the battery needs topping up. i used one on my old mr2 roadster, left overnight worked a dream. left for long periods was an absolute godsend.
