give the lad a chance think you need to look at your stats a bit better, what area of the country are you in; asked earlier, would give me an idea of the insurance zone your in. very surprised at how high your premiums are.there are quite a few 20's people and all thar i'm aware of have got it for around or under £2000, so i'm struggling to see what is affecting your quotes that your getting. go on the intro section and introduce yourself properly.

i'm playing hawx at the moment -
i'd finish that first, get a job in it and pick up the motor tinkering as a hobby, its where i learnt most of my stuff, start with the simple jobs and work up. been doing it for years and you quickly build up your knowledge. for extra fun you could always pick up a motor mechanics course as a night class or something. i plan to do something similiar so i can go do a kit car project. not that i don't think i could tackle it now, but i want to get a certificate first, becasue i'm sad like that and like certificates

i'm not falling out over it, happy to discuss it. to be honest i'm unsure of the location, its a built up area, possibly industrial, still doesn't make it right as its on an open road. counted 5 cars in the 1 minute it was playing. secondly, that roundabout was big enough that you wouldn't see someone pulling onto it on the other side. if public roads were meant for drifiting on, the corners would be signposted with the correct drifting speeds. -
quick call A7TAK Z he'd have a field day with this posting and before you ask, he's our local grammar nazi

i know how to drift, and i also know where to do it i don't speed in residential areas, maybe the odd dual carriageway with silly speed limits, but the key word here is "residential" -

there is driving with an element of risk and being completely reckless. i've broken the odd speed limit, overtaken ocasionally in places that maybe weren't the best. and i'm still here to tell the tale. but they have been on open roads, not in a residential area. but there will be others who have done the same as me and aren't able to tell the tale. the elelment of risk is the drivers decision and with every decision there are consequences. from a fine, to a crash, or killing yourself or someone else. he was being a complete *****, same as the person drifting the lorry round a roundabout a month ago, and the clips of people speeding a few months before that. i have little respect for those people, i keep my lairy driving for the track, where its supposed to be. and as i've matured and got older and more experienced my mistakes which i've made have become fewer and far between. no ones perfect, but to put it up on you tube like a hero is retarded. -
i'm an engineering technologist; i think or a design engineer, depends how you look at it i suppose, jack of all trades, master of none its a big world of engineering out there; like husky says, you need to be a bit more precise.

i'm sorry, but did you not see the traffic coming on to the round about? it may have been light but it was still traffic. and near the end you see someone waiting to get on as he goes round. -

now i know why tyres are so expensive at kwik fit -
f*ck me thats nearly £400 a month even at £3000 thats still £350 a month add fuel even on 1 tank a month thats about £80 if you spread the road tax theoretically over 12 months thats £12.50 or £24.50 depending on which age car you get. your looking at easily £500 a month running costs if you spread everything including mot's and services over the year. i'm guessing your job either pays really well or your still living at home with your parents

another new member on here was getting quotes of £2000 and i thought that was crazily high, but aiming for £3000 is insane, and getting quotes of £6000, i think thats the insurance companies trying to tell you something. good luck, but i reckon you might need to leave it a year. whats your location, might give a better idea of what we're dealing with. there are several specialist insurers on the forum, but they only tend to insure over 25's or people who have already clocked up a years experience in the car already.

Anyone Gone From a Powerful Turbo Car To a 350Z?
rtbiscuit replied to Tricky-Ricky's topic in 350Z General
fair enough, my first test drive actually put me off the car to start with, got taken down a busy road in rush hour and one junction of the a12 in heavy traffic. my mate persuaded me to go again and i had a nice long drive out and really got to stretch the legs. same car but felt so different. you seem to have turbo's in the blood, the only way your really get to understand if you can "live with a zed" is to spend some time in one. There are loads of members all over the country, there should be someone local to you who can give you some passenger time, maybe even a drive. should reduce your travel and time issues, and help you make the choice. also when you say "gone from a powerful turbo to a zed" i don't know any turbos that aren't powerful. in their own nature they boost the performance of what ever they are dropped into. i know my zed has quite happily out pulled a couple of scoobies and an evo going down a dual carriage way. the zed isn't a slow car, but it does give off that feeling when driving. the speed is very deceptive in the zed. its by no means a super car and i'm well aware of this. but it is very accomplished at what it does. for driving pleasure alone, it is extremely rewarding. not everything is about power. (can't be arsed to find a pic of jeremy clackson shouting POOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEERR!!) -

Ricky have you actually gone out and test driven one yet, it will really help you make your mind up and get a feel for the car. other people opinions will give you an idea, but only your own expereience with it will really count. i could speculate about sleeping with jennifier aniston, and i could talk to brad pitt about it, but until i avctually slepp with jennifer aniston, i'm never really going to know, regardless of how many people i've slept with before; who look like jennifer aniston -
not seen those rims before, look like 18's
