  1. nice price, shame i don't like them really:shrug: will defo be a nice project for someone.
  2. i like the ones you've just shown me, but in stock form, i'm not so keen.
  3. oooooooooo what ya gettin, what ya gettin what ya gettin
  4. whats on the cards as the new family wagon? porsche panamera
  5. is that why you cleaned it, the only time you've cleaned it in ownership, and only to sell it
  6. i know the height on the brake can be adjusted, as i plan to do it soon when i get my new accelerator pedal, i find the OEM setup is very hard to heel and toe in. the brake pedal is too high and the throttle is just a bit too far over. new pedal and lowering the brake should fix this. there should be a guide, Chris did it and said its fiddly. not sure how adjustable it is, on the lines of what your looking for though? as for clutch, don't know,
  7. I disagree, I think the Supra has aged quite well (Externally anyway) it has but in comparison to a new zed, i think the zed has the edge.
  8. its more the image i've felt thats come across over the past few months over several threads. it feels like you know you need to change but for you the change is a compromise on something you love dearly, and i fully understand that. i know that you like the zed, and know that it has good merits, but deep down you still love the supra big time. changing cars is never easy, especially if you've come from something thats set a high bench mark. but i think with time and a change in driving style that makes the most out of the zed it will be a car that will really grow on you. personally i think the most we'll notice is a difference of maybe 1 or 2 mpg at most, and their are so many variables like driving styles, how heavy someones foot is etc.
  9. takes about 30 seconds to do, and as long as you've got the till reciept and keep a note of the odometer you can input it later. i started on the lite, but upgraded to the full version for the extra things. the lite version will do all your fuel calculating and graphs though. the full version lets me track things like other costs, mot's servicing etc and also be able to email all the info to my home computer etc.
  10. i'm biased, and i think most of the forum are as well i like the supra, its a nice car, but in the looks department, the zed is newer, sharper and a bit tidier. supra is showing its age. zed is a good all round package.
  11. I also like Anoraks and train spotting i'm glad you found a hobby; macdaddy
  12. marshalls of bury st edmunds is nearish to cambridge, they are apparently a nissan performance specialist, they are on our forums recommended garage list. you might find something there, but i don't know how competitivly priced they will be. i've tended to find that nissan are over priced on their own 2nd hand cars. get on to auto trader and piston heads, if your open to travelling you can have more choice and better prices. i'm based in ipswich, am happy to take you out for a drive if you want to get a closer look before buying, my car was from harrowgate, my car before that was stoke on trent. always makes for a good fun roadtrip
  13. i use roadtrip v 1.4 i do it not becuase i'm bothered about it, but i'm sad and like to track the stats of my car it does loads of things and even gives me a pretty graph when i fill up. also keeps track of things like when my mot and service are due and counts down the milage etc.
  14. you put the supra on a very high pedestal, and seem to spend most of your time grumbling about the short comings of the zed, its like you don't want to change. i'm all for useful discussion, but if you keep waving your supra around like some kind of wonder car, your not going to endear yourself to members. imho for the benefit of the thread. UK spec car, before the winter was averaging 25 mpg currently down to about 20-23 mpg this is on short journeys about 8 miles a day. this may be down to mods. long journeys was seeing about 32 mpg, currently on about 30 mpg. hoping after a remap to see a change for the better, but main aim is for performance and torque. i think the new spoiler has added to the drag co-efficient hence the drop of around 2mpg. i am monitoring my mpg on my phone with a special app, so should be able to plot any changes from now and through the remap. hope that helps
  15. i didn't know you could track your own phone that is funny
  16. thanks much appreciated its work in progress, still got to refurb the wheels, they will hopefully be satin black and a few other jobs
  17. i'd like to take his shiney buttons and stick them up his ars.........
  18. my centre caps and because i got paranoid after 2 months of no number plates i rigged this up i live within 2 minutes of the suffolk constabulary headquarters and drive past their road everyday, i didn't think i would get away with it forever. long term plan is to put a retractable system in. i've found one, but ive got other things to pay for at the moment and its not an urgent job.
  19. needs guidance to identify parked cars isn't the give away that no one is sat in the driving seat
  20. if you want to put it back to factory stock just do an ECU reset, it will then learn from then. think it might be a case of the memory being out. only thing i can think of is that if the car onlyt ever did short journeys the engine could coke up. a good service and some nice longs blats help, and also possibly some injector cleaner or a fuel additive. whats the milage on it, if its over 50k and it hasn't had replacement spark plugs that might help as well
  21. thats why i never use nissan, couldn't find their own arse in a wiping competition
  22. Here's me and my wife some pics of my car, need to get some good weather and go and take some proper shots
  23. i'm on the wrong side, by 10 days
