if you were hit up the rear in an accident it is the other persons fault always is, insurance company will follow this up. it shouldn't affect your no claims, but you do have to declare it. i had similar accident on the a12, i stopped and the 6 cars behind me didn't. i had no blame what so ever and was the only one gaurenteed a payout. the case took 2 years to settle as the others couldn't work out whos fault it was first. basically if you hit someone up the rear, your travelling to close and its your fault.

scavenging? heard the term, but not sure how it relates to exhaust flow?

whats the balancing pipe do? my guess is it balances the exhaust flow, but whats the benefit of this?

Really? You have no balance pipe anywhere? if i've got my terminology right, then i don't think so. pipes run from the manifolds straight back to the rear can on either side without touching. there is a silencer in each pipe, but they are separate. goes into the rear box, but the pipes never cross inside and stay separate all the way to the exit.

my invidia G200 true dual doesn't touch each other at all, the newer ones use the x-cross joint thing.

i used to like teasing tailgater's on country roads. where i used to live on one route there were only 3 good over taking places. so if they got up my arse i used to like to slow right down to about 20 and then just as they get near the overtaking spot, i'd drop the hammer again, then slow right back, and so it would continue. i used to find it hilarious watching them boil in the car behind, i swear i used to be able to see steam coming out of their ears. i have matured a lot since then but it still makes me smile. and before anyone says it, yes i know its not a bright thing to do, but i was young and care free, and used to feel pretty indestructible. tailgater's just annoy me if they left the space, i would have made space for them to pass

v6 engine 3 cylinders either side, equals 2 manifolds, 1 on either side of the engine, each has its own CAT, which then converge at the y pipe where it goes into a single flow. good idea might be de cat pipes, and an xyz pipe from abbey m/s (means you can swap a cat out or straight pipe for mot's in one place instead of having to try and get to both original cats)

i always find "hit and runs" a fence sitter as well, if they're ugly i think its fine to drive on
