  1. yes it is my car, how did those bastards get my car. its a really good one. now i fear its doomed to a life of solitude.
  2. i've had a pug and it was great. i actually reckon the 306GTi6 interior was better than the 350Z interior. and was awesome fun to drive. but of recent years peugeot has not offered the metal motoring they used too and have gone very soft. their GTI badge is all but dead and the versions they have brought out have just been soggy. i like the new RCZ but its front wheel drive and lacks a big engine. it is using the same power plant as the BMW mini cooper S, there are plans in the talking of a hot version but if it comes to fruition is another thing.
  3. cheers for the info guys. looks like i'll be saving my sea legs for a while
  4. i'd love to work on boats, you looking for any more crewmen?
  5. excellent choice very tidy car, you'll have to let us know what its like and right a full on review.
  6. they nearly did, but VW shafted them and it the tables were turned and now VW own porsche
  7. i think my UK GT is still for sale at the garage i traded it in at. full nismo kit and under 40k on the clock, retractable number plate. tinted rear window and smooth boot.
  8. any winter tyre will be good if cost is no issue, then swap back in the spring.
  9. if you get the middle one first you should find it covers most jobs. so try and find one with a wide torque setting, then get the other 2 as and when a job crops up that needs it. have a flick through your owners manual. see what the variety of torque settings are. and then try and find a wrench that fits it. halfrauds do a professional one which is very good but its about £60 if you have access to a traders discount it should make it cheaper. its not cheap but it should cover most jobs.
  10. interesting find, volks seem to be doing what they do best.
  11. depends on what your torquing up really, i would say you need 3 torque wrenches in a garage a large one, medium one and a small one. big one for doing things like wheel nuts and high torque parts, and a small one for doing low torque settings and a middle one for all the jobs in the middle.
  12. i think i've put nearly 2k on my set now, and they still look like new.
  13. not mine as i sold it in june BM does your cousin still have his? Glrnet are you a suffolk person too? i'll keep an eye out for you.
  14. looks really good dave i have one of those left over on my desk in silver. must get round to sticking it up on the selling section sometime
  15. and wait for our drifting brothers to now come and tell us how they run them all and they grip fantastically and there are no issues with running stretched tyres on oversized wheels with ridiculiuos camber. they never post normally but seem to find these threads within 24 hours
  16. tyre wall stiffness will depend on profile. i run the falkens on a 30 and 35 profile and they are like concrete. as the profile is low they come as an XL tyre and are reinforced. mine are on an 8J and 9J wheel running 225 front and 255 rear. i wouldn't put more than a 265 on a 9j 255 is a perfect size. (different car from the Zed) as GT4 has said go for a 10 rear and you can fit a 275 nicely on it.
  17. aren't they the search lights from colditz
  18. in fact i want headlights so bright when you flash the other person the light is so intense that the on coming driver vapourises in their own seat.
  19. its a great choice hugh, very good taste, the porshes are grtowing on me, i;ve been contemplating a classic 911 possibly 87 plate. love the old school looks and whale tale
  20. if i ever get a Celica GT4 then i will set it up with a full rally style fog setup. and you'll know when i switch it on at night as entire villages will suddenly experiencve full daylight even in the middle of the night.
  21. one of my colleagues son has a talking elmo, and it drives him up the wall. the kid takes it everywhere and it is insanly annoying. bit like chinese water torture. not to bad to start with but you;ll want to blow your own brains out to get it to stop after a couple of weeks.
  22. he started it, i finished it with the faster humping. think my avatar has Vtec just kicked in Yo!
  23. good luck with the 911 does look nice.
