really have you been out in an MX5? supurb handling, great balance, its a treat to drive, if i was buying a cheap track car this would be right up there. like i said car arrogance and ignorance comes from drivers of all cars No ignorance here fella... Yeah I have driven my mates one several times before he got his Z4, very light on its toes but at the end of the day they dont have a massive amount of power and I never said they were no fun. It is alot better than his current Z4 truth be told as its only a 2.0l. I am not slating them they are very good cars and I believe they have won many awards, but most of the models are not that fast. sorry, just used to people who've never tried a car slating it. come across alot on here who believe the zed to be so much more than it actually is and looking doen their nose at other things. its a syndrome i like to call zed tinted glasses. glad to see your not a sufferer

so what if it is a hair dressers car? or women drive it? its not a yorkie bar; and doesnt have a sign that says "men only" hairdressers have a lot of cash (well the good ones do) whats wrong if they like nice cars like the zed; are you saying garages need to have career checks on purchase... "i'm sorry love but thats a 350Z; and according to my records its says your a hairdresser. I'm affraid i can;t sell you the car." i've had it with several cars; i even get it on here with my S2k. arrogance and ignorance isn't just based to people in BMW's and yes there is a large and growing crowd of sprinkles (girls) on this forum, and i'm sure someone on here probably cuts hair as well. anyways its not the girls and hair dressers you have to worry about with the zed image, its the chavs that will buy it when it hits 5k in value

The best racing/track tip you ever had - One only
rtbiscuit replied to NeilMH's topic in Off Topic Discussion
if your facing the wrong way on the track then you went way to quickly in to that last corner on a more serious note, use all of the track -
i prefer the looks of the rotas, but prefer the size of the others

i pay 15 quid for my BT contract and 10 gb limit on down load and i usually go over so it costs me 20 quid. i wont be using BT again once the contract is up.

just becuase the topics are there doesn't mean that it will become bigger than the car aspect of the club. personally i think when it comes to 350z pretty much everything has been done now; there aren't huge amounts of new things coming out and most of what people post is stuff that has been done or tried before. (nothing wrong with this) the big advantage is the 370 section should start to grow and so will the posts, topics and ideas; people try new things etc, lots of new mods, and this will keep the car section of the club alive. to me the 350z-uk club is a social club where the common intrest is zeds, and cars. in the last 6 months the most interesting threads have been the off topic ones. (this is not because i don't have a zed anymore) but no one is doing anything radically new or different.) the 370 zed stuff is interesting too as its all new stuff.

you can apply wax with a machine on a low setting. just use a low setting;and a different pad for each cleaning fluid. i'm hoping to buy a DA polisher soon so i can start doing the same.

my current BT contract is for a 10 gb limit and if i go over they charge me 5 quid for every 5 meg over and this is the speed i get at 2am its normally half that. i'd love virgin cable internet. or anything that doesnt rely on BT, i lived all over the country and not seemed to find one place that does cable broadband. to virgin only supply 3 streets or something apparently we're on the BT infinity list for new fibre optics, but no kind of time frame when. it could be next week it could be sometime in 2020. why are we so far behind the rest of europe when it comes to communication technology.
-
i used to be with O2 and they were great for broadband, but i couldn't get their high speed bandwidths due to BT not unbundling their exchange or something. so to save money i swapped to BT. i regret it now. and just waiting for the contract to end so i can swap to something else. is Sky really good? everyoen seems to me talking it about it.

right to clear up a few myths 1. poorboys black hole is not a polish; its a glaze; it will need a polish before you use it and a wax after to seal it. 2. dodo products are not high end products but midrange; their most expensive wax is about 70 quid. if you want expensive try something like some of the swisswax pots which start at about 100-150 a pot. 3. according to the boys at meguairs (i was at their detailing seminar) you cant layer wax. at most a second coat will get the bits you missed. 4. a wax will only shine as good as the prep work you put into it. there are lots of threads on detailing, there was a detailing competition that had lots of people put pic heavy posts up of how they detailed their car. plus lots of other posts on how to detail. if it helps this is my routine -snow foam car -rinse -wash car (megs gold class shampoo) -rinse -dry car with waffle weave cloth -clay bar car with dodo born slippy and megs detailing clay (i only do this every 6 months) -clean paint with dodo lime and prime lite or megs paint cleaner -polish car with megs polish (part of the 3 stage clean kit) -glaze car with poorboys black hole glaze (i do this probably 1 to 2 times every 6 months)(it fills in and hides swirls) -wax car with dodo purple haze pro wax (it has red mist in it) -seal car with dodo red mist -dress tyres with megs tyre gel -clean windows with PIAA glass cleaner, then add PIAA glass protect (also have PIAA wipers and wash fluid) go in and have beer some of these steps i miss out depending on weather/time/what was last done etc if i'm in a hurry i just wash and wax. but only because alot of the prep work has already been done so its just like topping it up and renewing the wax layer. this is not the bible version for doing it, everyone has their own favourite products and methods for doing it, and even order of doing things. start of with a few products and build up your process. i didn't start with this i've built up to that over 5 years and just started by washing the car once a month to doing all that.

it will be rwd it said so in the article and with the turbo'd 1.8 and low weight it will not only be quicker than the zed but cheaper to run. can;t complain at that. i hope this is the start of light weight economical cars which are still perofrmance biased and fun to drive. this kind of engineering will be the future especially until electric/hydrogen cars can really take over at an affordable cost.
