  1. i think its only really going to be noticable on the track with someone who knows the car well rinsing every last ounce out of the car.
  2. On that point does an aftermarket strut brace need this only the one's i have seen dont seem to have anything like the standard one. Or do they just bolt to the inner wing? i think thats the thing, nissan did a good job first time round, it might be uggly but it did the job, all these aftermarket struts non of them say they improve the handling of the car, its just engine bay tart ware. and yes i had one fair enough it will make a difference if there was nothing there in the first place like on a lot of cars, but on the zed i don't think it makes any difference. or maybe possibly worse. as they don't allow for fine tuning
  3. it needs to be set to the correct torque setting if a jobs worth doing its worth doing right. go see your local mechanic and they'll probably torque it for free.
  4. i like them, if i could have afforded theold one i would get the convertible without question.
  5. thats the plan, but for now i'm vinyl wrapping as its too cold to spray. i'll offer both as people have different tastes.
  6. got the stuff and done a few trials but as i'm reduced to spraying in the garage i have to wait for the temp to come up a bit before i progress so i can spray with more ease.
  7. to be honest i think it needs the club to buy it strip it of parts and sell the rest as scrap to save anyone owning it.
  8. without sounding rude, is it a genuine kit or a copy; and if its a copy where did you get it from? if its genuine and a top quality kit there should be almost no fitting issues and 1 should bolt on just like the original you take off. if its not a genuine kit then its a whole different kettle of fish. (and this is from the voice of experience; i learnt a very expensive lesson )
  9. just re insured the S2000 its a higher bracket than the Zed found out this year several insurers weren't taking on new s2000 clients apparently its a high risk vehicle as people keep crashing them. managed to get £650 with a shed load of extras with 4 years no claims and 2 accidents about 4 years ago. 1 my fault 1 not. not as cheap as i'd like but the car is modified and i got like for like cover with adrian flux, i tried chris knotts but no one was there on a saturday morning. weekedns were the only time i can sort it. so adrian flux got my business this year. have been with admiral for the last 4 years and although their quote was similiar to adrian flux for the extra £10 i was happeir as they did like for like and unlimited mileage plus a few other extras that admiral weren't doing.
  10. P1 is only really an oil change anyway p2 is an oil change with a few checks and p3 is about teh same as a P2 but you pay more for it
  11. nice colours, do you know who the vinyl manufacturer is?
  12. glad you found a nice one
  13. i have silver side skirts in my garage car sold over a year ago so they need a home
  14. i was always told that you don't stop at 125, but get onto something like a minimum of 250 asap, its not how fast you go, but the ability to get out of trouble. a 125 just doesn't have the poke to accelerate you out of a bad situation.
  15. at least its cheap to insure, you could leave it unlocked in the middle of moss side with no fear of it getting nicked as no one would be seen dead in it.
  16. i'd love to see the duty come off fuel, i'd also like to see it dropped off fags and booze, all 3 are luxuries though, and anyone who thinks driving is a right is a fool. i'd like to see bankers have their bonuses removed if they don't actually hit their target, i.e. if you loose lots of money you don't get a bonus. (that was my understanding of it) i'd like to see all jobs in the public sector who earn more than the prime minister to have their pay cut wither to the same level or lower. i'd like to see benefits removed for children, (i don't have any) i'd like to see welfare removed from all those people who don't actually work and never have, basically if you haven't paid in you cant take out. so basically if you worked for 10 years you can claim maximum benefit for 3 years, if you only worked for 5 years you can only claim for 50% of the benefits etc. i'd like to see my road fund licence actually get used on the road. i'd like all non essential medical operations to be cancelled i.e things like boob jobs and cosmetic surgery unless you actually have a medical need for it i.e. breast cnacer etc. i'd like to see an investment in public transport so we could actually use double decked trains, and public transport network worth using.
  17. i think the 2nd one. difficult to tell from the photos though
  18. big engines are for lazy driving
  19. so we're meant to fill the huge black hole debt with wishful thinking and fluffy bunnies. agreed i don't like paying through the nose for everything, but i understand why its happening, so we put up with a couple of years of hardship and then hopefully back to some kind of normality in the near future.
  20. the new shape integras are nice, but you can pick up the bread van type R civic for around 4k now and less than 50k on the clock.
  21. zeds not bad on the track, its well balanced and controllable and not to stroppy to hold on the limit. brakes are your weak area as said above, the only down side is the zeds weight, it can sometimes feel like piggy back riding a fat girl round the 100 metres. and you loose a little of the agility with that amount of weight transfer. needless to say i've had fun in the zed on track. its by no means a dull track car. just needs setting up.
  22. vtec's pretty bullet proof as long as they are maintained. wankels need new tips due to the design of the engine; nothing to do with the speed it revs too. i get good economy from my vtec compared to the zed, and would say the performance is almost identical to the zed, but the way its delivered is very different. Vtec is a personal preference thing, i personally love it as it suited my driving style, but its the old horses for courses.
