  1. very promising technology, especially if it can be retro fitted to older cars, if this and the hydrogen molecule system take soff we could be looking at alot cheaper motoring.
  2. short story: yes Long story: Prime; gentle rub down 2000 grit prime; gentle rub down 2000 grit stage one and 2 can be repeated as many times as you feel it needs a coat, depends on how thick you spray; the quality of the spraying and if it needs more coats or not leave for 12 hours preferably 24 to allow chemicals to fully evaporate (unless you are using heaters i.e. infra red etc) apply 2 coats of colour rub down with 2000 grit apply 2 more colour rub down with 2k grit stage one and 2 can be repeated as many times as you feel it needs a coat, depends on how thick you spray; the quality of the spraying and if it needs more coats or not leave for 12 hours preferably 24 to allow chemicals to fully evaporate (unless you are using heaters i.e. infra red etc) apply clear coat, possibly 2 coats, rub down 2k grit apply 1 more coat and this should be it stage one and 2 can be repeated as many times as you feel it needs a coat, depends on how thick you spray; the quality of the spraying and if it needs more coats or not leave for 12 hours preferably 24 to allow chemicals to fully evaporate (unless you are using heaters i.e. infra red etc) job done
  3. was up there this weekend and tried to keep an eye out for people, but didn't see many zeds.
  4. You can get a specific aluminum primer, i think halfrauds do one, you can then use any colour and clear coat on top. metallic colours need clear coats, gloss colours benefit from them and satin and matt finishes can have a matt finish clear coat if you can find them
  5. :pmr35lee: but i'm not sure many people have 2nd hand 370Z parts yet, not many have been written off yet so not so many 2nd hand parts. you might have to pay full wack.
  6. if she was wearing a ninja outfit i think it would have looked even cooler
  7. exhaust gum gum, strap it up good and proper, go straight to the MOT station, get tested, and then not worry. or use replacement. depends on how much your willing to spend to get it to sale condition.
  8. i'm glad it was an easy fix, just make sure the fixings are done up tight now
  9. why do you need a new key, if its not working have you tried a new battery, i happen to have lots of them at the moment. (2nd hand unsure of battery level left) or is the battery fine but you lost the key, if so you can buy a replacement and then take it to nissan who will recode the new key to your car; again i have lots of these as well if i haven't answered your questions then a bit more detail and i might be able to help
  10. it will be the first head gasket job on a Zed in the UK that i know about, not saying it can;t be, just suprised if it is. last headgasket i did need the block skimming to allow for a decent contact with the new gasket. parts are fairly cheap but its the labour and time taken on the job that will cost you. i think abbey would be my first choice, if they are fully booked DMS up near dartford would be a 2nd choice. hope it works out for the best and isn't as bad a job as it might be,
  11. you need a very small pin prick in the base of the hole through the material. it allows any trapped air to escape and therefore it shouldn't lift in the dimple.
  12. Does that mean I'd need either 25cm by 10cm in total for both pillars or 2 x 25 by 10? you'll need more than the actual size of the b pillar, so a minimum of 300x150 mm for each B pillar With regards to the weave line direction, I would probably want them both to be going the same direction on either side to make it look more standard. To do this you'd have to use the second piece at 90 degrees to the first, so you need a kind of L shape of vinyl if that makes sense. you'd get a square but have a small section of waste. I may even consider getting you to do them for me your work looks brilliant!! thankyou, b pillar's aren't too bad as they are flat, its what you do with the vinyl behind; edges are fine, but it takes a bit of careful folding/layering to do the edges. Will the B-pillar you provide be in mint condition and a genuine part? In the future I may end up removing the vinyl so I would need them to be in mint condition. the b pillars i use are what the previous person has sent me, they are all original OEM parts, but alot of people send them because they have swirls or slight scratches in them. so i wouldn't say mint condition no. thats why i wrap them for people. Do you sell the vinyl on its own (enough for both B-pillars)? i can do
  13. loving that orange, its a proper tango orange; a kind of wake you up iin th emorning with a slap in the face kind of orange; its good
  14. things are improving slowly though compared to say 20 years ago. we now have ANPR cameras on alot of roads, plus ANPR in most petrol stations. they pick up alot of anomolies it should help, and its getting harder and harder to not register something properly. even the MOT's now connect to the DVLA so that a car history can be more thoughly checked for mileage etc.
  15. thought others might find this interesting, and its not going to be a money maker for insurers as you can srill declare a vehicle SORN http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default ... ryId=23510
  16. top job, as a side note on the S2k forum, that colour is known as ladyboy blue
  17. B pillars are about 250mm tal by 100 mm wide, but it depends on how you want to wrap them to how much you'll need, i.e. if you were to place them on the material side by side the pattern wouldn't be handed. for e.g. where the pattern starts from i.e. the diagonal goes up from the bottom front section. on both, un handed mean it goes up from that point on one but the lines run in the opposite direction on the other.
  18. Any update on this? Lee says he has a set and was going to clean them up and send some pictures but haven't heard from him in a week despite pming him :-( Jim try contacting mattbowey, he's like lee's unofficial PA,
  19. poor bos black hole glaze is immense, can;t beat it, but its only a temporary measure not a permanent cure. to get rid properly you'll need to have someone with a DA or polisher go over it.
  20. could you pm me prices on: Rear strut brace driver and passenger wing mirror assemblies thanks
  21. sounds exciting, is it similiar to what i'm thinking of getting that or did you get the CLK55 AMG
