  1. cheapest price for falkens delivered, i found were camskill
  2. rota's not bad wheels though, i've contemplated rotas in some guise or other several times.
  3. i'm learning a fair bit out of this as well.
  4. i quiet like the look of the kunena setup its not disimiliar to other forums i use. as a side note i use s2ki.com which is a huge international forum for the S2000 and the onyl one really that s2000 owners use. think of it like all the zed forums rolled in to one its huge. well they recently updated their forum and it was a big change, major difference from old to new, but took about an hour to learn it. i think you'll find that people adapt quickly and i can;t see the change driving people away. as long as its logically laid out and easy to navigate it won't be an issue. at the moment the current setup is doing my head in, and more and more i just switch the site off than put up with it. i'd rather learn a new site than put up with laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag. but thats just my humble opinion, and as many know on here its worth diddly squat i support the forum and what ever decision is made
  5. i suppose you could always fit a reducer to narrow the final output and therefore the amount of airflow, and cooling ability
  6. introspect has the right idea, thats exactly what i would have gone for.
  7. when i had my zed i was asked on 3 occassions was it an audi TT special edition?
  8. make sure its got all 4 springs how much are you looking at spending, as something like the BC coilovers new might be a better option than a 2nd hand set. BC's for the zed start at arond 450
  9. they didn't have a grading high enough for those areas; i hear those scots would take candy from a baby and sell your grandmother, all for just a buckfast.
  10. its near an edge, you might be able to get a smart repair done on it, but the only true fix is a full respray, but the difference is a lot of cash full bonnet respray rough guide 250, smart repair 50 guestimates.
  11. i prefer the older supercharged version, but only for tuning reasons, but both are good runners, they hold their value pretty well. never owned one but took the old supercharged one out for a long test drive, and they are quiet a hoot to drive. good feel and feedback for a FWD. its BMW servicing and standards so a fairly reliable motor. have a look on one of the clubs for common issues and faults, personally i wouldn't go with the JCW but get a stock Cooper S as there are some really good tuning stuff out there. check out lohan for ideas i could have spent a small fortune at that place. if i had bought one.
  12. i love my suffolk postcode, its such a low rating that i could probably insure a harrier jumpjet for abot 50 quid
  13. because its awesome, and they use one on NCIS los angeles
  14. i'm interested to see how you did the cubby switch as i found that a fiddly part to do. always good to see how others tackle a problem.
  15. completely agree, so having an auto takes the skill out of it. like you said who's behind the manual box makes a big difference. either way, the dash looks nice
  16. i'm sure the performance figures for the zed show the auto is the slower car. seen it on several sites. even the official statistics released by the manufacturer have the auto as the slower car. must be yanks incapable of driving a stick shift
  17. i'd say the dodge, i know husky will say the camero
  18. not to bad, easy when you've dne it a couple of times, main issue is that some of the clips for wires on the back of the head unit can be a little stiff. but i can talk you through it, and there are a few guides as well.
  19. you really want to take the dash out of the car to work on it properly. i t would look crap if you tried to wrap it in situe. as you want to get the inyl round the back for the neatest edges and a secure fit.
  20. really??? i thought the auto box on the Zed was slower 0-60 than the manual box, pushed it up in to the 6 second area instead of in the 5's only the new auto's on things like the DSG in the W brand and the porshe box on post 2005 cars hae autos that are quicker than manuals. nice work with the wrap though
  21. how hot wa sit that day, and were you going slow in traffic etc, if yes to both could just be the engine bogging down with all the hot air being taken into the engine.
  22. the one thing i learned with tuning the NA zed is that you can spend a hell of a lot of money for not a lot of gain. if it was me going for maximum power i'd go with the xyz pipe as you can fit de cats and a resontated pipe for most of the year for maximum power and then pop a hi flow cat in 30 seconds for the mot. but for noise i think that a completely un resontated system sounds like arse. its not a racy rasp sound as rasp and race don't go together, rasp to me says poorly designed exhaust. so for best noise i'd be looking at something like the stillen y pipe i think tarmac was doing them berk hi flows, and something like an HKS exhaust.
  23. i can supply you with enough to do the centre console in most colours of vinyl, i currnetly have some nice satin black that was used for another customer which would allow you to do the dash twice i think plus other parts of the interior and as its not the carbon stuff its cheaper. say £25 ex p+p for about 1370mm x 700mm would need to go double check the size as i cant remember how much i used.
  24. nice rotas, my only concern is that in a few pictures it looks like the wheels stick out beyond the wheel arches, just becareful as plod wont like it and it could be an MOT fail.
