  1. speak to husky i think he has a full carbon fibre cover that fits over the top.
  2. i thought you had one but its full of mx5
  3. i'm in ipswich area, been away for the weekend; just got back this evening, i'd happily take a look but i think the earliest i'd get to see it in daylight would be saturday morning. working late alot this week. if you don't mind waiting till then i'll try on saturday before i drive up north for a wedding. could also try Bullet magnet; he's ipswich based and might have a free day before then.
  4. This is from the people who watch top gear and then immediately know everything about cars. sigh it has a nissan engine in it, but renault have borrowed it for some of their cars. lots of cross colaboration between manufacturers with all kinds of cars. nothing new. the bloomin aston sygnet is just a toyota IQ in a body kit. the aygo, C1 and pug 001 is all the same car and colaboration. crysler crossfire is all run off merc switchgear etc and the list goes on.
  5. the closer you get to 200 the more more power you need, wind resistants increases dramatically the faster you go. cars that can go over 200 need big power, but to push way past that they need almost double. cars that do about 200 have about 500bhp on average cars like the veyron need 1000 to get to about 265, thats an extra 500 bhp to achieve only 65 mph on the speedo. i'd guess you'd need on average about 200-220 bhp to do about 150 mph. gearing also makes a big difference. some cars could be capable of it but the gearing is not set up for it. like i said earlier 150 isn't a difficult target. 200mph is, and more so 250 mph.
  6. there is about 10 around near me, more common than a ford focus. you have to remember though all zeds go to scotland eventually. its like the elephant graveyard for nissan zeds.
  7. the 306 GTI6 could do 135-140 but needed a long stretch an di think that had a smaller engine than the 206 GTI 155 isn't a difficult target for mos things with a 2,0 litre engine or more.
  8. love that alfa, and would love an alfa, but there isn't really anything that has the performance and balance to match the looks. i do hope th e4C is as good as it looks.
  9. have to agree, top speed talk is for bragging in the pub as the actual chance of ever using it is almost non existant. i'd rather be able to get to 100 and back to 0 in the quickest time possible. as most track racing will see those speeds.
  10. i think 175 is achievable but you'd need a very, very, very, very , very long piece of private road or de restricted autobahn to get close.
  11. i never ran them on the Zed, but i have them in a lower profile on the S2k and they've been brilliant, but in the profile i have the tyre is extremely rigid. also i think there are 2 versions the normal fk452 and the 452 XL which has reinforced sidewalls. i found the sessantas extremely good on the 350Z, might be worth a try if the falkens don;t suit your driving style.
  12. nope the bose is crap as well, its not even bose its just a rebranded clarion, and there are known issues with the speakers cutting out, skipping CD's and the lack of an IPOD link. SATNAV is crap as well, i'd go for one that has a stock system and no nav, and then put some decent stuff in instead. i had a pioneer satnav fitted in the cubby and a fully JVC doubledin screen in the main area and it was awesome. lots of other options as well; as everyone has their ICE preferences.
  13. the zeds heated seats weren't that great, mine didn't heat up fully so you'd end up with a cold arse and a sweaty back. i know others had issues with them. i think the point i'm making is i wouldn't make heated seats a deal breaker. i had them in the zed but not in my S2k and i don't miss them, even though the s2k has no roof.
  14. i got nothing in mine till it got the nismo kit on it.
  15. i only kept mine for 18 months nothing wrong with it just needed a change as i got bored quickly with the zed. lots of others are the same, or others find it too expensive to run and sell quickly. on performance cars the amount of owners doesnt bother me.
  16. you know what, i'd probably still try and eat the pizza that had been in the water. get it out quick and pop back in the oven to dry off no such thing as a bad pizza
  17. loads to choose from so really is a buyers market especially as hey keep getting cheaper.
  18. good exhaust and good quality, better than a lot of the cheap crap fitted on here recently.
  19. also pre facelift has more torque, but less bhp amd the newer ones have less torque but more bhp. pre facelifts are lighter, post facelifts are heavier. pre facelift has the cheaper road tax as well and if you put them on the track they cross the line all about the same time. the post facelift one will driver better i believe, the engine is smoother, the pull more linear etc and it has the uprated interior. i say up rated they changed the knobs and added a bit more silver. at the end of the day they are much of a muchness and you should go for the best example you can find.
  20. 2007 up is 309 bhp 313 is the horse power in ps.
  21. remember guys he is on a drug and its called "CHARLIE SHEEN"
  22. Who the f*ck are you? Go grow a pair maybe if they are under 25 they need stay on their BMX's or only drive a 1 litre car, Under 25's cause the biggest accidents and are the highest risk.
  23. Not any more (well soon to come, the one thing from the EU I actually like the sound of . i doubt you'll see any benefit; they'll just pull female insurance up to match that of male insurance. i can't see them cutting bills on blokes when they are still a risk. not when the EU has just helped them earn more money by forcing them to charge the same as blokes. the EU has screwed us again; now no one gets cheaper insurance and the only winner is the insurers who now have more of our money.
