  1. Thanks! Do you know roughly how much they charge...
  2. Hi there, I've had a feeling that my clutch will need replacing in the near future, so I was just wondering if anyone could suggest a reliable (not too expensive) place that could change my clutch. I live in Luton, Beds. But would be happy to travel 15miles or so. I've called up the nearest Nissan garage and they wanted over a £1000! I can buy the clutch on eurocar parts for £250 so if it's cheaper for me to buy the clutch and someone to fit it I don't mind doing that. Much appreciated
  3. Thanks for your replies, just spoke to revive and someone is going to come and have a look and give me a quote. I'll report back. Oh and one more question, revive don't pull out dents I've read, they fill them. The dent I've got is only a small ding, would filling it give a good result? Thanks again!!
  4. Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. So I parked In a car park the other day (as you do) but when I returned to my car someone had clearly caught the rear wheel arch when reversing out so left me with a small dent and scuffed some of paint work! Annoying!! I've tried t cut with limited success. Just wondering if anyone knows any one knows any good mobile repair people in Bedfordshire or if it needs too go into a body work shop? I've asked a couple of local workshops and they've quoted around 200 quid, just wondered if this is about right?
  5. Hi, I don't know if anyone will know the answer to this, it is an uncommon problem by all accounts. Bascically the Air con low pressure pipe has cracked and needs replacing, apparently it's the pipe that runs from the bulkhead to the compressor. Looking at it, it looks like a pig of a job and it is one continous pipe and its tucked away in the engine bay. Nissan have quoted me £104 for the pipe and the labour will be at least several hours. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and if anyone knows if i can get the pipe or labour cheaper? Sods Law that it happened before summer (thats if we have one!) Thanks
  6. Hi All, I've just been looking through the forum and found bits and pieces of information here and there but just really want to start a thread and get all the answer I would like. Basically I would like to install a satnav/audio unit into the vacant space (where the lid opens up). I have a few questions about what I need to do this and how to go about it. Firstly I am just looking at Halfords units but I understand I'd need some kind of mounting bracket so the that unit fits flush in the space, no idea where to get one from that is the right style and shape? Next I'm wondering how easy it is it fit in? Are there tons of wires that need to be plumbed in to make connect with the speakers, phone bluetooth buttons on the steering wheel etc. Thats all my questions for now but I'm sure that I'll think of more in time ..... Thanks in advance Oliver
  7. Hi all, Two weeks ago I changed all my pads and put on anti squeal shims. I have done about 100 miles since then but they are still squeal/squeaking when I gently squeeze the brake pedal at low speeds i.e. parking. Any ideas what could be causing this. Cheers
  8. Last suggestion I promise, what about the mongoose system?
  9. Anyone have any thoughs on the blueflame system from CS? My budget has risen slightly I know, this is the max I will spend.
  10. Sorry for posting a relatively common question but most of the other threads about 'ebay exhausts' are a couple of years old and the links are dead. And lots of the other threads people have different budgets and are also a few months - a few years old! So now I'm contemplating the Scorpion or Cobra... they are similar price range. Is the general consensus that the Scorpion one is 'better'? Cheers
  11. Hi all. I need a new back box for my zed and I'm only looking to spend around 250 - 300 quid because I'm not exactly flush with cash at the moment! Does anyone have and suggestions? I've seen some on ebay around 199 - 250 are they any good? cheers
  12. Hi, I am contemplating putting a spoiler on my 350z and I think the NISMO V1 ones look really good. Jut had a few questions I am hoping you guys can answer: Firstly I have a black 350z, will a carbon fibre spoiler look good on it, in your opinion? Secondly, how easy is it to take off the original ''lip'' spoiler and put the new one on? AND lastly, I've seen a few online, but can anyone recommend a good place where I can get one at a good price? Cheers
  13. Hi guys, Please excuse me if this is posted in the wrong section. A while a go I posted saying I had kerbed an alloy quite badly and was looking to get it refurbed. But now looking at all 4 none of them are in great shape and all 4 are 'bubbling' (only 1 is kerbed). So I have decided to refurb them all at the same time. As i use my Zed every day i would get them done while im on holiday in August (when I'm not using my car....and gives me a bit of time to put some money to one side) So can anyone recommend a good place near beds/herts/bucks/north london?? I had one god recommendation before but unfortunately it was the other side of Birmingham, which is just a tad too far Cheers in advance
  14. Glad to hear that! Now I just need to find a professional place that is relatively nearby. Can anyone recommend a place? I guarantee my Zed won't ever be coming close to a kerb ever again after this harrowing experience.
  15. Nope, Its not buckled, I did check that, its just where that area is shiny and the other is a bit duller.
