that price of £400 is for a full cat back dual system on a jaguar XKR, verly long setup. i would expect the price for the zed to be either the same or more likely less. apprently its about 2 - 3 hours work. so you book in, turn up, play on your phone for 3 hours, drive home. not only that you can choose your own tips, and the kind of noise you want. heard positive things about them on several other sites. and although i haven't used them i would contemplate seeing them myself.

speak to these guys, they build proflow exhausts, and they build the exhaust on the car as they go to your specification. heard good things about them and they are based in the midlands. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PROFLOW-STAIN ... 27b6076f8b if your down south i would also reccomend hayward and scott, but they cost alot, but the work is good. as for building a custom exhaust if you go to the right place, they'll do a better job than some of the off the shelf jobs as its a made to measure piece of kit. like comparing an off the self suit to a tailored suit. but go to a bad tailor, get a bad suit.
  6. best bet is to repsray your self and then reattach with fresh adhesive pads.
  7. Lee's the best and only place to get 2nd hand parts from and always my first port of call if i needed anything. sometimes things go wrong and its good to see that the buyer got their part in the end, plus refund, plus beer. you can;t ask more than that really. and it seems lessons have been learned and the service has been improved. which is only a good thing.
  8. nope looks pretty clean to me ok there is a small amount of carbon near the lower part of the valve that might benefit a little tidy up, but to be honest nothing i'd be worrying about.
  9. if you're updating all the bulbs arounf the car it can really clean the look of the car up, as everything has a clean white crisp light to it.
  10. fill it up no higher than the label that says "MAX" its not dangerously low, its still above the line that says "MIN" as for the hand brake, could be the cable needs tightening, see if the fluid issue/fix cures it, if not then its going to be something else.
  11. +1 Diesel cars also require more regular servicing (Oil, filters etc) if you hope to keep them running for any significant time. most little petrols and big diesels are every 20,000 on average. for servicing. its only performance cars that tend to be every 10,000
  12. 42 litres = 9.23 gallons 433 miles to a tank at 47 mpg 37 tanks a year £56.7 per tank £2097.90 per year at £1.35 per litre for the micra 50 litres = 10.9 gallons 577.7 miles to a tank at 53 mpg 28 tanks a year £70 per tank £1960 per year at £1.40 per litre for the diesel 80 litres = 17.6 gallons 440 miles to a tank 25 mpg 36 tanks a year £116 per tank £4176 per year at £1.45 per litre for premium (ZED)
  13. diesel costs more, if you're doing over about 25k a year than diesel is a good choice, but if you have an economical petrol you can be better off as petrol is cheaper. some of these small engine cars can get 50 mpg. give me the following stats, and i'll try and work out your fuel costs for the year for both mpg for the cars size of the fuel tank if possible mileage done a year.
  14. i had pirelli Pzero on the jag but they were about 3mm tread left, in standing water the rear of the car would drift and go very light. not a nice feeling. have since put new tyres on.
  15. good to see things progressing, glad to have you back and working at full steam again. mistakes happen glad to see it all sorted.
  16. tyres, good amount of tread? or running low? good brand of tyres? am intrigued to know what caused it. sounds like you hit standing water, not alot you can do once it starts to go, its like gliding on ice.
  17. Lee's the bloke to speak too, he's thew only person i'd buy 2nd hand parts off on here.
  18. i'm driving up to sheffield tomorrow have i got some good weather to look forward to? don't mind, got new tyres on good tread, just done tyre pressures, cleaned the screen, checked all fluid levels. and all good to go. will chew through what ever is thrown my way
  19. did no one think about turning the mains off at the fuse box
  20. we'll find out in 10 days
