  2. it was good i enjoyed it
  3. god you change cars more than i do. didn't know you were selling the jag, would have possibly had it off you as it was the carbon edition.
  4. i'll pass the info of this over to the boys in ICT as they are starting a new GCSE in computer science and this might be something they could use.
  5. i'm trying to work out what i could use it for? are there any stats for its processing power?
  6. oh man, i was gunna let you jet wash me and everything
  7. TLC body kit and wheels are all easy things to sort, bonnet isn't my taste but i like the engine swap could be quite a tasty sleeper if restored correctly. but to be honest there are other cars of that era i'd rather own.
  8. personally i wouldn't go with a gloss colour, as you said its very 2 dimensional, i'd be spending the extra for metallic finish vinyls. or go with a matt finish. there is a depth to paint that i don't think most gloss vinyl can't achieve.
  9. looks alright to me, seen worse 350's
  10. Rover 214 Si Pug 306 GTi6 Honda Civic tyre R toyota MR2 Roadster (ran a new shape Civic diesel at the same time) Nissan 350Z GT Honda S2000 Jaguar XKR the rover was my first car cost me £300, nothing special but got me about, still have a soft spot for it though as i think i fixed most things on it, by the time i sold it the car was like triggers broom. also loved all the hondas the GTi6 and the CTR were great little go karts. MR2 and S2000 2 of my favourites, still loving the XKR. have to be honest the zed didn't do it for me. don't miss it like i do some of my other cars.
  11. would you scrub my back for me too, i always find it a hard to reach area
  12. i might take my wash gear to the local jet wash place to use their jet wash, but all my cleaning gear and products
  13. i wouldn't use aluminium bolts they won't the strength required, and on removal they will shear very easily.
  14. i think the best thing is to go and see the quality of their work. a vinyl wrap is only as good as the person wrapping it. you can have the best stuf fin the world but if your crap at wrapping the wrap will look bad.
  15. Cheers for that rich, I just dont understand how the main wrapping company in the U.K. uses them then? Bizzare... I stand corrected if this is true. I can only go on my experience with the wrap that was done for me, which I never had any problems with I have no experience in doing whole cars, and only worked on small parts, but found that the proper car wrapping vinyls like 3m and hexis were extremely maluable and easy to shape round tough curves, i'd tried using other vinyls that i'd bought in for cutting etc but found they would tear or split wven with heat if you tried to over manipulate them. it maybe avery has a specific automotive wrap vinyl but if they do its a well kept secret as when you search for it not a lot of comes up about it. both hexis and 3m use air release tech that makes applying the vinyl easier, i've tried doing small wraps which don;t have this built in and they are a pig to get all the air out of. i think you may find Jay that the place you used were very good at wrapping, hence why yours has gone on well. i've been to a place near me who used 3m stuff and his wrapping had joins all over the place it was very scrappy. also i think you've taken good care of your car. which in turn has meant the vinyl has been well cared for. as far as i've seen 3M and Hexis are the market leaders when it comes to vinyl production for auto wraps. also every wrapper has their prefered methods, materials and tools. same as car detailers.
  16. you can still use a pressure washer, just have a short section of hose that goes into a bucket. pressure washer will pull from the bucket instead. or be really cheeky and just fill a wheelie bin with water and plonk the hose in that.
  17. Jay i've worked with alot of vinyls and the only thing i've ever used avery for is vinyl cutting. its nice stuff to cut and the colour range is good. but they don't have the same reputation for wrapping as 3M and Hexis do. I did alot of research when looking at supplying vinyl and avery didn't even make it on the list.
  18. you don't want to know what i got offered for PX on the jag it was a one off i stummbled across something i fancied and thought i'd ask, £2k i plan to keep it
  19. speaking from an engineering point of view that NICad home made strut is a clever idea, but about as useful as a chocolate teapot. you might as well run without one.
  20. fit looks pretty good, if it was a cold place where you lived i think they'd be the bomb
