  1. Great colour, car looks good from the picture. Fingers crossed it's just routine maintenance stuff that needs doing
  2. This reminds me that I need to look into consolidating all my small pots from various jobs I've worked before. Have a few public sector pension pots, each with a few years contribution and a few private pots but recently as my employer has been quite generous with pay rises recently I've whacked up the % I pay coupled with a salary sacrifice scheme to try and give me the best possible chance at an earlier retirement
  3. Absolutely, can't wait to take the Z out for a proper trip rather than the occasional jaunt to Tesco!
  4. Moved up in October from Swansea. Enjoying so far despite lockdown!
  5. Morning, spotted about 8:30 along Hotwell's road this morning while walking the pooch. Sounded great but didn't get the plate. Would love to know what exhaust that was as its just the kind of noise i'm after
  6. Cheers for the responses guys, will make me sleep a little easier knowing that they will come off!
  7. Awesome, gonna dig out the socket set and get a breaker from somewhere !
  8. Thread revival.... The tops of my locking wheel nuts have disappeared.... On both rears. As per thread, seems the spacer threads are too long for the nut. Front are fine but I'll be changing them for normal nuts. I've not tried to have a go at anything yet so I came here for some advice first as I'm not sure I have the same issue as @Stuggerz Only noticed as MOT guy pointed it out. Reckon a tyre place could get these off? Or me hammering a socket on etc?
  9. Currently on s7 of the office US. Wasn't keen on an American remake of a classic (in my opinion) but its brilliant. Also now watching the Fall. Would recommend both

    NL58 PMU

What MOT has it missed, history shows its had one every year back to 2011. (as far as i can see online via gov.uk) Can you share any info on it standing around for 18 months? Has it been with a dealer? Perhaps someone garaged it? Id check that the advisories have been properly sorted from the last MOT and ask for scans of the service history. Have you been able to see the car? I would not purchase a car via click and collect and photos. You can tell so much from these cars by test driving them, listening to the engine. The inside looks a bit grubby and well worn, could use that to knock the price down also Personally i do not recommend buying one without test driving, having access to all the service history and being able to check the car thoroughly against the various buyers watch-outs for a 350Z Best of luck Mike
  11. His advert says he's decided to keep it but he's paid for the ad until the car sells so he's just put it as a place saver it seems
  12. Man your attention to detail is amazing. I think you could so wonders with my car
  13. this is awesome. Do you have a date in mind for completion?
  14. Thanks for the offer, I ordered a cheapy ebay one which should be here early this week so if that turns out to be crap I'll drop you a PM to purchase
  15. Good luck. I switched from fags to a vape around a a year and a half ago. Now I need to ween off the vape
  16. I don't think it was directed at you. The comment was edited by msitpro so probably something added was irrelevant
  17. Thanks Paul, just updated the original post
  18. Only from what I've read on here, type J17 into the search and there's a thread
  19. J17... Bad rep from what I've read Prices seem to have gone up recently, maybe due to lockdown etc but those examples seem high priced to me.
  20. was just about to say was that Humpy's car, beat me to it Paul (although 4 hours ahead haha)
  21. Hi all After a stubby for a 350z if anyone has one they no longer want. Failing that anyone have a LINK for one they know works, plenty on eBay but not sure of the quality. The ones on torqen and tarmaxc look too long Cheers Mike

    VW Scirocco

My budget isn't that great a bigger house and a mini me is on the agenda for the end of the year. Was looking to spend 8k max (also dependant on what I could potentially get for the Z - 2006 rev up, FSH, 76k on the clock, clean and relatively unmolested model). Back to the point, I love the colour so it would have to be viper green if I did switch. Diesel for the mileage and the 2.0 TDI. I've read they can be mapped to mid 200's for relatively low cost including a new exhaust. Seems a 2011-2012 model is around my ball park but much prefer the looks of a Scirocco to a golf. As I say though, it's just me being bored in lockdown currently but it has tickled my interest. Thanks for your feedback and always welcome more and alternative suggestions
