  1. I'd love a GTR to be fair, but I imagine it'd cost more to mod that than a Zed, and modding is infectious. So I get the reasons. My GT cars of choice were the R34, Supra and 3000gt. Only one of those is affordable for me these days, and they're affordable for a reason lol
  2. My mum drives like I do, and since I was 10 begging her to drive faster she told me there's a time and a place. Somewhere where you're not likely to get pulled over.
  3. Some people may ask why, but not us lol.
  4. No need to apologise, if talking/typing helps, offload away.
  5. Its ok, i'm a little way off permission yet. Will be in touch about an exhaust soon though.
  6. Hastings put mine up by £100, making the jump to Adrian at the end of the month as it was cheaper than I paid last year, plus mods.
  7. Sorry to hear this, it's tragic to lose one so young.
  8. Is any one planning on taking +1s? Sundays are my only day with the wife and allowing her to come might ease the pain...for her at least.
  9. Soooo....eerrrr, Uprev yet? I can fit bits at work...well the apprentice can (who thanks you for the speedy delivery of mx5 exhaust), but will you be able to do the mapping side of things?
  10. Not sure if you would, it would just be advised that components not visible due to under trays being fitted. Some bits like brake lines go over the fuel tank on some cars and can't be seen, and if it passed emissions the exhaust is probably fine. You can't see the engine these days to check for major oil leaks due to under trays and covers. A car should fail for having a wheel bolt missing, but won't if plastic trims obscure the view as the tester isn't allowed to remove them. I like the idea of a full under tray though.
  11. The Ranger has the strongest engine. The Navaras are prone to engine failure. I personally have a soft spot for the l200 too but have heard about gear box issues and short timing belt change intervals on the early ones. I'd avoid the faux by fours, we have a qashqai and I wouldn't want to pull a skateboard with it, they're great as family cars though.
  12. Stock ride height mate, I meant lower the number plate a couple of inches.
  13. This is a shot that makes me think it should be lower by a few inches.
  14. Yes mate, its just a couple of screws in the plinth, then i used number plate fixing pads. I need to move mine down a bit at some point as its a little high.
  15. Ok, so after deciding I don't need an exhaust for mine and that the HFC's were enough, I'm looking at Cobra resonated or Scorpion. I don't want it too loud, or to spend much over £500. I've been a little put off by the Japspeed due to fitment issues. But i'm happy to be convinced. Any other suggestions and links would be appreciated too.

  17. Water for the rad might help, the thing with going sideways is there isn't much air flow through the rad and losing a bit of coolant isn't uncommon and zed get got quick. Fast car did a track day prep kit guide that had things like pads and suspension links too. An oil top up couldn't hurt either.

    Exhaust upgrade

Tarmac sportz have some for about that price from the y pipe back. Japspeed systems are cheaper but I have heard fitment can be a pain. You may get lucky like I did and set of HFCs come up at the right price, mine were 120 from a seller on here. Torqen and tarmac do interest free credit too.

    Exhaust upgrade

Glad you mentioned those, I'm hanging my nose over the scorpion and cobra systems at the minute, just want something I can hear the wife over on long journeys... quite tempted by the resonated cobra matched up to my high flow cats.
  20. The start of a new drift thread would be a good start then people could just set settings to follow if they so desire. I love a bit of drifting and my eldest daughter want to go to the championships in 2018 so I would follow a thread.
