  1. Isn't that why they are trimmed? If you trim back where it touches the bumper, then everything will be able to sit closer and won't need bending as much. Poly does sound like a better / easier option though.

Dunno how it will hold up on my cubby door release button. Top style might be fine, but with the bottom style (that I have), I reckon it might get scraped off instantly.
  3. Every bolt / screw can be removed by ramming a flat-head in there
  4. Jesus... I just checked, and by weight, that'd be like giving birth to twins... rectally...

  6. Sure the mileage is high, but this sounds like a cracking price for a fantastic car. GLWS.
  7. The little brackets at the bottom of the front bumper that you slide clips onto to screw the undertray on... The edges of mine are all ripped off (as below), so the clips don't stay in place. Any suggestions on a way to repair these, a replacement bracket, or a good alternative? Currently everything is held on by zip ties, which do a fantastic job, but are a tad unsightly and a bitch to reapply after taking the undertray off. Could you just plastic weld an edge back on? Or fashion another bracket out of metal and stick it on? Picture for reference:
  8. Isn't it just a case of trimming some of the edge off yourself? Have you tried PMing Bob?

Until it melts your front bumper What's it like on an interior? I'm tempted to have a go at doing my Z interior (centre console + cubby door / button), but am worried it won't feel nice and will chip easy.
  10. onlinecarparts is German. Eibach spacers (as with that ebay link) are much cheaper over there. Think Aashen said he got his from there (or similar), and there's loads of similarly priced ones on ebay. But yeh, OPs price is good. Most people seem to sell them for a lot more used.
  11. The Zakustech aren't exactly highly praised when it comes to quality. Just make your own. Only takes 2 months, but you can customise it and make it absolutely perfect, not cutting corners.
  12. Don't know if I can condone a none-IPS recommendation...
  13. I'm on mixed budget tyres, every corner is fun even with TC on. I'd recommend them if you want to do mad skidz at 20mph *hides from Dan*
  14. No problem and cheers. I think one side has a layer of some protective stuff on it already, but I can't remember what. Was considering rolling the arches too - should stop them getting massacred and (if cleaned and sealed properly) stop crud getting stuck in there and causing them to rust.
  15. I'd strongly recommend 25/30 (it's what I've got, with no lowering). See thread here (loads of pics on page 2) and post here (better pics). Got a mate with 20/25 and the 25/30 is miles better. No issues with rubbing etc. Not sure why 20/25 is the most popular other than it seems to be safer if you plan on lowering, but plenty of people lower on 25/30 with no problems too .
  16. I've only been in an XJ once. For some reason the only part that sticks with me is how the doors closed. They were just so quiet and soft...
  17. These are usually snapped up within days...
  18. DE and Rev Up are pretty much the same engine except the Rev Up has: - Variable cam timing on both exhaust and intake, whereas the non Rev Up is only on the intake side. - Higher rev limiter at 7k rpm, rather than 6.5k. - Stronger connecting rods, con rod bolts, crank, exhaust cams, etc.
  19. Rev Up still has the restricted air flow to the front cylinders and will benefit from the plenum spacers. They didn't sort it until the HR.
  20. There's a lot to choose from. People get easily confused Then there's these....
  21. I don't think practicing on your mum counts as a streak dude Don't worry, your mum was a willing test subject too
