And generally I've found people on here have respected and appreciated my input....
However, it was a controversial subject, and one that from a technical perspective (with all due respect) I think most people don't know much about. We can all make assumptions, and I tried to explain in the OP that I was aware of these and had given them consideration. However I'd looked into it in the past and spent hours researching it before making that thread, so again, with all due respect, I believe I knew more about the topic and my input was as valid if not more so than everyone else's.
I countered people's opinions because the research I'd done disproved people's points. The information I'd gathered was from more reliable and better qualified sources. Ideally I'd have quoted sources to backup my points, but I didn't keep a list and it would have taken ages.
Instead of accepting that maybe I knew what I was talking about, I received a barrage of insults, and although I'm not one to start attacking other people, I'm going to defend myself and my viewpoint If I think it's right. I'm open to someone proving me wrong, but it needs just that, proof (or at least some explanation / reasoning), not just someone telling me they know better than me just because they've been driving since before I was born.
There's a million things you will all know more about than me, but likewise, I probably know more about some stuff than the rest of you, and if I've taken the time to research something, i tend to go all out and really master the subject.
That being said, it's probably best not to get into it again, but I appreciate the comment nonetheless,
Maybe that's just how they installed it?
