I generally believe that cheap ebay stuff is just as good as expensive branded versions. They are probably all made with the same stuff in the same factory, the expensive one just has stricter QC and a premium price. Just find one from a seller with good rep and with a lot of units sold, should be a safe bet.

You just push / tuck it in. Friction holds it there.

Stuck on the windscreen near the rear view mirror using the suction cup*. You can just tuck the cable behind the headliner and other trim and route it to a 12V socket. *Mine refuses to stick to the black dotted area, so it's slightly to the side, but you can 3M tape a Pringles lid to it (or anywhere else) and then mount the suction cup on that. Used to have it mounted on the rear window facing forwards between the headrests to give a view of the dash etc, but the image quality of the road was crap.

OP hasn't been online since 2015, so I wouldn't get your hopes up for a response. As for anyone else being able to help, you might want to try rephrasing or getting some pictures up to help illustrate your question. If you're asking what HP the engine is, it sounds like it's an 04 DE, which should have 276hp.

Don't think there are any (sensibly priced) options specifically for a 350Z (in the UK), so you'd either have to go custom or try your luck fitting one not designed for it. Alternatively, could you get the exhaust extended or lowered? Maybe go for a bumper tuck too?

I believe so. I don't personally have them, just looked into getting them. Those are Bob's, might be worth PMing him for some more details. I think 3M tape or PU adhesive / sealant (Tiger Seal / SikaFlex) are the usual way people mount them.

Though as I mentioned previously, the K&N are also highly recommended, and I think the MAF damage is just a myth.

Other than it being a dry filter and therefore a safe bet, I don't think the reasoning went much past "it's green" You can wash it like a reusable oiled filter, but as it's dry, you don't have to re-oil it, just let it dry and whack it back in. The Cosworth was also very highly recommended, but at the end of the day they all do the same thing and you won't notice any difference.

Had a good look into this the other week. The HKS Super Hybrid seemed to come up on top. (There were a few concerns about oiled filters like the K&N potentially causing damage to the MAF, but I think the risk is minimal / non-existent, and nothing to worry about. If Watshot can give you a good deal, they'd be an excellent option.)

Not gonna argue, I've said everything I wanted to say. You can interpret it how you like. If I do go ahead with the mod, I would still like to post it here and get your opinions. I just ask that you be honest when you give it.

I didn't say whether I'd done the mod or not, I left it open. I expected a 50/50 of people saying it sounded good / bad, not everyone saying it sounded crap...

You didn't, but you didn't know. Which is strange considering how bad you said it would sound if I did the mod. However, all things considered, your opinion of my exhaust with the spacer mod would actually count for something. Again, not my intention to achieve that, there is a chance I do have an exhaust leak and you were all correct or it was just poor sound quality. I haven't accused any of you, i gave you the potential options and you've made your own conclusions.

As I say, it wasn't my intention, but I understand that it will be taken that way. That being said, surely you can see why I would be apprehensive in posting a video. The responses I got only goes to prove I was right to be so. I didn't miss that reason. Please see point 3 (the part in brackets), but also the disclaimer after it. Other videos of exhausts will have been shot in a similar fashion with a similar device, yet nobody accuses them of having a leak...

Right, not much point letting this go on any longer... I haven't even done the mod yet, I wanted people's opinions on my current system, which leaves us with 3 potential conclusions: 1) I've had an exhaust leak for the past 7 months that hasn't been picked up by myself, or anyone else (including multiple qualified mechanics, enthusiasts, and other 350Z owners who have driven the car during test drives, MOTs and services). 2) You were all so adamant it would sound shite that despite what you heard in the video you had already decided you were gonna slate it regardless. 3) None of you have any clue what a blowing exhaust sounds like, the traits and whether it is good / bad. (Sound quality may be partly to blame, but as some of you have compared it directly to other videos, I don't think you can really use this as an excuse.) Dan was the only one who was even remotely dubious, but even then appears to have decided it was blowing... I didn't do this to trick everyone or be a nob, I did it to see if I could get an honest opinion before I went ahead with the mod and asked what people thought (which I still intend to do). So, depending on which conclusion is true, you are either all expert mechanics, or have zero credibility.
