New 370Z Nismo Owner in Surrey
Willsy1980 replied to Loadmaster's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
Yeah, quite simply the best thing I have ever done was buying the Nismo (don't ever tell the wife I said that ) But as for Short tails, they are loud, I have the Tarmac Sports resonated tails. They certainly 'enhance' the noise level to 11 -
Auto finesse Size Up 1 litre for the price of 500ml

Oooo nice one. All over that one. Time to restock the kit bag -
Well those numbers speak for themselves
-
Yeah of course, but the smoother and cooler intake frees up more than a drop in panel. Like I said, its an up to 30, but if its 3 or 300 gains is gains

Welcome, just about to head in to month 3 of my Nismo ownership. What mods do you have in mind ? -
Seen a few videos of pre and post CAI and map gains ranged from 16-30 in most cases, hence I said 'supposed to' Not done yet, will be heading down to Tarmac in Spring/Summer depending on work etc, the silicone fittings at the front side mean no cutting required. But yeah front bumper has to come off. Once done i'll let you know the outcome. Sure the wife will love the growing list of stock parts stored in the loft, got a lovely shiney bubble wrapped Nismo silencer up there so far. One less box of Xmas tat

I'd have gone with the Z1 CAIS on it over the hoses and drop ins, £500 ish Supposed to unlock 30 or so HP with a map. I think they are a personal choice at the end of the day, you have to like the look. I get the same 3500 rpm rattle with the short tails too, think its just the right frequency for them to vibrate, but the looks and sound outweigh that small negative

Same, that's discrimination surely ? We should get a free kit each for not having Facebook

Probably used that miracle solution, Shultz and stonechip spray, 'Full underbody protection'

What amazes me most, is NASA did this for $2b, yet here we spent £22b on a damn Excel spreadsheet... More chance of finding intelligent life forms up there than Downing street

mirror polished RAD expansion covers - NEW BATCH
Willsy1980 replied to RDON's topic in 370z Parts For Sale
Here is a quick snap of mine fitted, and to answer @Lewis Schwier Right hand is a 35mm M6 from Pro-Bolt, Left side is a 20mm M6 both countersunk and both available here https://www.pro-bolt.com/stainless-steel/?narrow=[["Thread pitch"%2C"1.00mm"]]&sort_by=relevency&category_id=77&disable_semantics=1 You can get the Aluminium washers from the same place in a colour to suit you. -
Same boat for me, need to get hold of a 6900xt (AMD fanboy, always have been) but good old Rona put wafer production to zero so that combined with the PS5 and Xbox both using the same AMD stock will likely be Q2 next year before any hope of getting anything.
-
Sure you could fabricate that into a pretty good Z themed trailer, stick some Rays on it, some salvaged rear Q Panels 90% done
-
Dodgy looking wiring running from the battery cover over the plastics and seals down under the airbox, no doubt related to the naff DRL install. Safe to say there will be better out there for that money.
-
Just need to get the sizes for the rest of the visible nuts and bolts now

370z radiator filler cap (not coolant reservoir cap) where to purchase?
Willsy1980 replied to TheOracle71's topic in Styling
They are not Nismo, but Torqen have some cap covers that fix to the existing cap with grub screws -
That's pretty cool, clean set up and all the bling in the software 12/10
-
Yeah Torqen are an option, was trying to see how much it is for loose stock so I can do them bit by bit when I get time. If I buy the full kit I will 100% lose one or two
-
Does anyone have a list of all the various sizes, length, thread pitch etc for all the nuts and bolts on the engine bay. Only looking for the visible ones, thinking of replacing them, but buying them in loose stock from Pro Bolt https://www.pro-bolt.com/aluminium/?narrow=[["Colour"%2C"Red"]]&sort_by=relevency&disable_semantics=1&page_num=6 Cheers

Bristol is the closest so far, im in Wigan. But if you find yourself way off course and up here, im happy to meet up
-
Hahaha I only use the pace of 90 in football for training purposes As for the spacers, was advised the 20mm was absolute limit for the Nismo, so went with a step back. No point taking the risk of rubbing.

I think its a safe bet, Kwik Fit are talking sh*te. It's probably just the heat shields that are corroded on the cats. I'd get a trust worthy second opinion on them before shelling out the extra on HFC's if you are planning a full system and remap later then just go for the lot. Keep the cats and take them to the scrap dealers, worth a few quid back in your pocket for the precious metals
