  1. Not Good ? Nissan Garage ? I'd take it in and get the codes read.
  2. Pitty you're in Gloucester, looking for a cheap back section. GLWTS
  3. New roof skin can stand you about £850 for a mohair upgrade. If you can get him to knock a few quid off towards it and the rest of the car checks out service schedule and maintenance wise i'd say its a decent buy. Tires, well that's just something we all have to buy at one stage so I never worry, unless they are brand new I always change them for decent rubber right off the bat just for peace of mind. Best bit of advice I got on here before buying mine was car + value of known bits needed (if any) + £1000 just for unexpected stuff. Don't just buy for the sake of buying it, buy the right one. There are loads of member cars worth a look which have a verified and traceable history. Buy with your head and not your heart
  4. Probably easier to just whip the front bumper off and see where you want it, measure and go from there. Any guess work based prefab will most likely be wrong, no point doing it twice.
  5. I'd start with a fluid change and some molyslip. Seems to be a decent option to try before a new box. @Ewen@Clark Motorsport is just one of the traders on here who will be able to supply everything you need fluid wise. @ZMANALEX will probably be able to help secondhand box wise
  6. No worries, willy was close but willsy is better btw, I missed the rev limit indicator setting too.. Full list is: clock speed outside temp DTE average fuel consumption and speed elapsed time Stopwatch trip odometer Shift indicator light It may be an ecu thing . Here is an archive on the same topic:
  7. On the uk ones there is usually: mpg, dte, clock, temp, lap time and speed. Think that's them all iirc Only ever use the clock and DTE
  8. Arrived today, kinda hoped the fuel cap had the full strap but hey ho it was basically free so no complaints from me. The Splash Guards are bang on. Many thanks
  9. Sorry about the car bud. Can you price postage on the Spats and fuel cap please. edit: Money sent.
  10. Yeah I know, but 30k only happens once in a Z's life At least I slowed down a little....
  11. So the other day this happened 30000 miles up so thought i'd treat her to a good clean, not been done for a couple of weeks so snow foamed, rinsed, snow foam again another rinse then contact washed. Looked clean, but thought well I bought a clay why not give it a quick once over.... After one rear quarter the clay was bad, never thought it could still be that filthy. But I can now say the Meguirs clay bar kit does a decent job. Needless to say, after the bar it needed a full rotary polish with the 3m ultrafina then a hand polish and wax... So no pics of the finish too late in the day.
  12. The more I see these, the more I want one. Considering replacing the 350....

    Low seats

Get a Roadster, loads of head/Helmet room Just not the best if you park it upside down....
  14. It's certainly a marmite kit, personally I think Ken needs to go back and restyle it
  15. Yeah, that is quite possibly the worst looking 'thing' i've ever seen. But £6k ???
  16. Trying to be a 911 ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-Nissan-350-Z-3-5-V6-GT-Pack-Manual-JDM-FRESH-IMPORT-2dr/282708813165?hash=item41d2c2256d:g:utwAAOSwhpZZ8clI
  17. How long before Richard Hammond puts that on it's roof ?
  18. I recently put this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1x-Exide-Premium-72Ah-720CCA-12v-Type-096-Car-Battery-4-Year-Warranty-EA722/191981783629?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 one on and has never missed a beat since. Bit of a squeeze getting it in, but still retains original clamps etc
  19. In all honesty, nothing on that list is worthy of getting rid of the car for. Alex probably has boxes containing every bit you need for a fraction of the price, most of them are consumables drop links etc included. What i'd be doing is dropping Alex a PM for prices on all the bits you deem critical, then give it a full fluid service come June giving you time to squirrel a few quid to one side to cover it. Or you could bite the bullet and buy an 05 Ford Ka for £200 and spend £600 on welding come MOT time and never overtake another car even if its parked
  20. 2 presses for unlocking the passenger door is normal, not sure if there is a Beep for setting it either, mine doesn't.
  21. Left mine sat for 3 weeks and battery was buggered, probably on its way out before the break. I'd just buy one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1x-Exide-Premium-72Ah-720CCA-12v-Type-096-Car-Battery-4-Year-Warranty-EA722/191981783629?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 and upgrade when you are ready to use again.
  22. Ah the almighty bang, the sound of broken things....
  23. Add another to the list, not run my car for 2 weeks and the battery has given up the ghost, popped the jumpers on ran it for 30 minutes. Turned it off and wont fire, the volt meter just dropped from 12 to about 6 in a second from turning key. Is the Yuasa HSB096 still a good option ? DE 2005 ? Thanks In advance folks
  24. For me, I see only 2 options (well for me anyway) the 370 or a 911 both just seem the perfect natural progression. However, the F type.... The 370, you know what you are going to get servicing and running will be more or less the same as the 350. The 911 more performance than both but a more rounded car overall. The service costs and parts hmmm could be a deal breaker even more so if you get a bad one. F-Type, much bigger investment but the looks are unrivaled.
