  1. Isn't there a maximum posted 40mph speed limit on the whole island or am I thinking of Jersey.
  2. Rosie aka Roos or Rooster. Jug three (human) years old.
  3. If petrol something small engined and Japanese or if a diesel something like a little fabia vrs they are going for a song at the moment and are pretty good fun to drive so makes the journey less humdrum.
  4. What history did you get with the car, any receipts for a clutch and fly change etc. The most alarming thing is a clonk as you put it. I would need to see the car tbh as it's always difficult to proffer advice otherwise. I assume you get no slip from the clutch when driving? Is the clonk apparent when sat at idle and depressing the clutch or when you put it under load and go to pull away? Zs do suffer from gearbox chatter at idle especially if you have an aftermarket lightened fly fitted.
  5. There's a fair few of us about in the area mate but we are pretty bad at organising meets tbh. I did do one a couple of years back and the turn out exceeded my expectations they are a great bunch on this forum and once organised a meet gets a good turn out. There are those that organise regularly so check out the meets section. I'm always up for a meet up even if it's just a few local people.
  6. Stones throw from me mate I'm in Basingstoke. Welcome
  7. Sorry my phone wouldn't open the recording. What type of noise is it, tapping, squealing, hissing etc
  8. I don't know much about aftermarket flys tbh, the OEM one I had put on had one screw hole a slightly different size which fitted over a pin on the face plate to ensure it was on the right way.
  9. I never found any issues when I replaced my battery aside from the fact one of my windows needed a reset as I left it open at the time. If you have a lightened fly that might affect the idle initially but unlikely, tinkering with the throttle body itself usually requires a relearn but not replacing a battery. So all is running fine now you've done the relearn? Like I said a misaligned fly would make the car run rough generally so that's probably OK if it does idle OK and run fine.
  10. Excellent point and one I've thrashed out with the other half. However getting her running with this point is falling on deaf ears . However even seeing her excited about a car is a positive so I'm not pushing my luck on this one lol.
  11. It's a tidy Irmisher fettled car but not 60k tidy!!! Obviously a few wealthy collectors out there that fancy it though.
  12. My daughter keeps asking when mum is getting her plug and play car My reply was along the lines of "When you start uni probably", she's 11
  13. Interview I watched he said the opposite lol apparently he didn't even pray when he had a severe case of malaria . Can't make his mind up obviously Just like all the child raping priests you must like because they believe in that nonsense aye mate. Onwards and upwards. Totally agree with the rest of your post though
  14. I would imagine the symptoms of a misaligned fly in relation to the crank sensor would cause the car to misfire and possibly go into limp mode. If your not having any issues like that it may be aligned properly as he says. I have heard of lightened flys causing issues on other cars but not on Zs. If the CPS was damaged I would imagine the same issues with misfire or limp would rear up. If the only thing worked on was the clutch the only things I can think of is a pressure leak from the exhaust manifold end or misaligned fly. Hopefully you get it sorted, I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will offer advice.
  15. You like Elon because he believes in god , which one? My vote is on Thor! ! From what I've read he's far to intelligent to believe in man made religions.
  16. I to have a set in the garage doing nothing. Always good for winter tyres if you daily the car.
  17. Welcome to the torque I've also had a fair few Hondas.
  18. Don't worry mate I've spent a fortune on my Z too Her car is one thing, my cars are something else
  19. Ok so our budget is set, this is the amount we are spending on a car. Whatever car we buy will depreciate from initial purchase. I would be willing to bet the residual value of the 3 will be better than a ICE car. You need to factor out the purchase cost in our case, the sensible thing to do is buy a secondhand car but hey that's what we have already. My missus tends to keep her vehicles much much longer than I do, the longest was ten years ! I understand where you are coming from and it's the reason I've always bought second hand or nearly new. She wants a new car, she likes the 3 what can I say
