  1. Knight rider lives The truck, now there's a good idea. This side of EV culture I do like, diesel is dying but the goods still need to get to the shops etc.
  2. It's going back next week for a new front bonnet release cable, so I'm hoping to get a new exhaust system by then.
  3. I think the suggestion of slightly smaller wheels is a good one and I will try that first. As suggested a wider choice of tyres is prefered and as mentioned a better tyre may dial out the undesteer a little.
  4. I also have a bit of heat shield resonance and the exhaust is a tad to loud for my liking. Again not a standard item but a stainless. I thought it was miltek but the paperwork says Larini. It's a bit boomy at the lower end of the Rev range, nice but ear plug loud if you know what I mean. Pops a bit which is a positive.
  5. She's home. Christ on a bike it's fast loud and basically an adrenaline rush on wheels. Quite crashy on the bumps and it looks like aftermarket suspension is fitted which might explain why. What a buzz though
  6. I will be looking into this r.e. the heater. It may well have been done already and is on my list of things to check. I think I saw the thread on this in the forum as there was someone trying to organise a group buy for the upgraded unit. It's probably several years out of date now but it made me aware of the issue. I also seem to recall an issue with insect debris etc flying in through the air vents.
  7. I seem to recall it being easier in my early 20s No issue falling in with a few groans, but getting out without rolling to the right and banging my head on the top of the side window is the issue ...:)
  8. Oh come Saturday there will be pics I'm lucky enough to fit in them it's just mastering the technique of getting in and out with the roof on that I need to master
  9. I will defiantly be asking for bluefin advice, it comes with a remote to change settings and I've never dealt with this sort of thing before.
  10. Not really I've paid 16500, it's a minter though. It's had an easy life and the history is excellent. Bodywork is mint and it's always had the 3m type film on the trouble spots so no chips. It's also had two cambelt replacements in its 24k life so just about right for an 11 year old. No damage to the interior not even a scratch on the sill plates. I hadn't planned on it at all, I had been looking at Elise S2's but had kept a close eye on VX220s because pound for pound more can be had for less outlay. I'm not a badge snob so it was always an option. It's probably knocking out about 230 to 240 with the stage 2 and the cats and exhaust. Also once I saw that Coral blue glistening in the showroom I knew it was the car for me. My budget for an Elise was 18.5 so I've also saved some dough for mods Vain I know but the reg plate starts VX. ...I'm such a kid lol
  11. Instead I bought a VX220 turbo late 2006 model. Pick her up Saturday. I will get some pics up then. She has bluefin stage 2 and a Larini already fitted and has covered a mere 24k.Coral blue with black and tan interior. Can't wait Can anyone recommend a stubby ariel as the standard one is to long (sound familiar ...)
  12. Ahh that's what the youngsters are calling it these days
  13. I'm a trekkie lol. I feel you need to ditch the original 60s show though if your into the new stuff. The progress made in effects etc mean for me the discovery sits nicely between Enterprise and the new remake films such as into darkness etc. Next gen just about gets away with being further on in the future regarding on screen visuals. The original show serves as a reference point in the time line for characters like spock and his dad. Discovery is dark but PC so more relevant and appealing to a new generation of fans. I like it. Expanse I need to watch again from the start as I've forgotten what's happened so far
  14. The Z goes to a new home this coming weekend so I just wanted to say thanks to all the forum members who have offered advice and argument in my three years here. Your a great bunch and this forum without doubt has been one of the most active and supportive of any forum I've been on. The company motor was delivered today (nothing fancy just a golf) and I will soon have my dream lotus weekender to tinker with. I expect to lurk in the shadows though purely down to the standards set here and the friends made. Thanks again, top work

  18. The teacher works on the premises, he is staff. The car park is for staff and for whatever reason e.g. allocated parking, delivery, ongoing abuse of parking etc he was trying to stop a member of the public/visitor/ parent from unauthorised parking on private land. It would seem he advised the motorist he couldn't use the area to park. At this point any sane person would drive off and find an alternative. I don't condone sitting on someone's car but to literally drive through someone is beyond irresponsible it's extremely dangerous and possibly life threatening. A shambolic example of humanity and an awful example to the kids who may have seen or been affected by this.
  19. Sorry chaps I've not had the time to look at this again.
  20. Just a bit of fun and healthy debate clears the mind. An open mind is a free one The proof of omnipotent beings existing is in the court of the believers whatever faith. There is no tangible proof it or they exist and as yet the ramblings of humanity are just that, ramblings. I'm currently looking into the latest slim chance construct theories which is unlikely but possible. Another day in science and an open mind hey ho.
  21. Vehicle excise is no longer transferable with a car. Your ad says taxed March 18. Nice car GLWTS
