  1. If people want to pay monthly and give the insurers even more money that's fine by me... If people want to let it auto renew at a heavily inflated price that's also fine by me... If the insurers noticed their profits weren't as high because everybody was getting a good deal then they'd just put premiums up for everyone So everybody, please... let it auto renew, pay monthly and leave me with cheaper insurance
  2. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the real death toll of this reaches 1000, whether that number will ever officially be announced or not though who knows... China are known for under-reporting on things like this!
  3. I've always aimed for an RS4
  4. I'd advise another set of grips... Mine was REALLY stuck on and was nowhere near as easy as it looks in that video to do by hand
  5. welcome, would love to see some pictures of the new wheel!
  6. For such a short distance I'm not at all surprised, double the distance and it would be a different story... still good to watch though
  7. Really excited for this now, pushing ahead of Fallout 4 for me I think
  8. Agreeing with what's been said... engine oil and the like is pretty basic and if you keep the receipts of the stuff you bought I can't see anybody having a problem! I'd rather buy from somebody that did it themselves and kept all the receipts for the quality stuff they had purchased over somebody that just took it down the local mechanics and you've got no idea what its been run on, what was changed and when
  9. Did both of you use "The Wheel Specialist" in Ferndown? I went there years ago for my BMW refurb with a chap named Peter. Great price, service, and top class bloke. Gave me a discount cause I was young and I said I can bring him more customers if it was done right. Needless to say he got 2 more customers because of that I went back again not too long ago for a side project - V8 Mercedes engine table - and found out there is a new owner Bloody useless to say the least. Anyways just wondering when you guys had yours done, and if it was the same place? I want to get my Rays refurbed into Anthracite or similar colour but don't trust them any more. Mine were done by the previous owner, he lived in Surrey so I guess it would be the closest Wheel Specialist to him

Good to see another member from Coventry! I second what Shezza said about Cougar Store too..
  11. Hi Helen! You have to have been a member of the forum for over 6 months and have 100 posts to be able to post in the for sale section so it's of no use to you i'm afraid

    My new front lip.

I really like that, having it in the 2 colours makes it look like a totally different lip and really sets it off!
  13. As above... Don't go gloss black! You end up losing the wheels with it and I'm really not a fan... I've got mine in charcoal/anthracite by wheel specialist and I think it looks so much better than black as it's a bit lighter and suits the blue a lot more
  14. I'm a Tesco Momentum kinda guy that's 121.9 at the moment near me
  15. 12 years? Googling something and judging the scale of the problem from number of results is really not the way you should be looking at things...
  16. fantastic camera work and editing! ....Car doesn't look too bad either
  17. I must live in a totally different area! I don't have any of these experiences on the road... I'm usually just stuck in traffic or stuck behind a Honda Jazz doing 30 in a 40
  18. I found this last year, on the phone to them they said I should try taking my dad off the policy as a named driver and it saved me £600! However, when I tried to do the same quote online (after putting the phone down) it made it more expensive... Couldn't get my head round that one at all but I wasn't going to complain!
  19. Welcome For tyres... take a look at Michelin Pilot Super Sport, they will be recommended by most people here (you will see them as MPSS) as they're a great all round tyre
  20. I thought JDM bumpers had the square plate? How can you tell it's JDM? (not being arsey, genuinely interested) Yeah difficult to see, but it looks to be a square recess to me Oh, looks rectangle to me The edge of it comes pretty close to the lower light on the left, plus he's managed to fit a full 6char number plate on one line

  22. Depends what you mean by 'quality'... I wouldn't have them, or standard Brembo pads for that matter, on a car that I was going to track. Equally, I don't see the point in paying for track spec items when i'm not going on track. MTEC discs are perfectly acceptable for a road car and the price is fair for what they are. They are of good enough quality for road with the added bonus of being dimpled and grooved so they look good too... but for track i'd spend more and get some better discs + pads and probably not bother about how they look! For somebody with the requirements of OP, I'm more than happy to recommend MTEC discs + Brembo pads
  23. Not forgetting that grooved help clean the pads and offer better bite and can offer more friction than solid discs, if we are talking physics of course The reason most road car discs are solid is for quieter operation, absolutely nothing to do with stopping power or distance I thought the reason was the same as most things, solid discs are cheaper to make and provide acceptable stopping power. I'm now not that keen on drilled discs and have seen discs crack around the holes when they get hot. ideally any holes need to have been cast in the disc in the first place, rather than drilled out afterwards. That's part of what sold the MTEC dimpled and grooved discs to me, they have the good looks of a drilled disc but they are less prone to cracking (I'd imagine so anyway)
  24. Probably because i'm stuck in the chaos around Whitley waiting for my new clutch to burst into flames lol. I used to work at JLR but jumped the fence to AML 4-5 years ago. You working at Gaydon or Whitley? Yeah there are a few of us around Cov. Another buddy of mine has a cracking black 313 on black rota grids. He is oftern heard driving around earlsdon shacking windows with his lovley Invidia exhaust. Welcome I hardly ever see zeds around Cov! Maybe I'm not looking hard enough!
