  1. Agreed Silverstone venue would be amazing!!!
  2. Ello n welkom Lovely car, I'd say it was gunmetal grey and not silver.
  3. Medium grade pad with Megs Ult Compound and Bar Keepers Friend.
  4. Nooooo you don't go into a dealer in the days an ask for an R34 GTR. You would just say Skyline GTR. R32, R33 etc is the model code like Z33 and Z34 or DC2, DC5, E46, e92..... Those always remain in the background as the manufacturers build code - it's different to the name of the car. 911 can be 964, 993 996 and so on as their build codes.
  5. Well Porsche in the days actually wanted to use 901, however Peugeot told them to sod off and so they used plan B and settled on 911 lol I think if Peugeot kept going they'd next be at 309 and that name had its day so *08 is here to stay. Audi had the 80 and 100 then settles on A4. Citroen use to use names Saxo, Xsara now settled on C1, C4 etc.
  6. Peugeot has now stuck with 08 or 008 for their line up now, bar RCZ. I remember a simpler time when we had 3, 5, 7 and 8 series now, all gaps are filled lol
  7. Tidy pal, I recently did the same along with the rear silencer as it's stainless steel.
  8. From Tsukba and Ring times. No, when the weights are near enough the same and one has 60hp less and laps times are very similar. I remain it's clearly not better in every way, however I've said my piece on the matter and backed up with facts not subjective feels or impressions.
  9. Disagree completely, the M3 with 60hp more is only a tiny fraction quicker than a DE at said track. So how will it maintain its advantage with way less power? Fact is this far superior car with alot more power is only .3sec per mile quicker at the Nurburgring. Also Silverstone National is mainly straights into 3rd gear left corners, not very technical. Never said the 350z would be quicker, but it difference is from what one would expect for a far superior car with 60hp more over the other car.
  10. We'll Done Glen!! 2nd is a great result and 1st no doubt will be next. Car looks really smooth and planted. Nice 350z lockout of the top spots fellas. You juggling loads fella, you need a day to be 30hrs at least lol
  11. This was my favourite car at the meet a couple weeks ago, it's wonderful. Welkom and enjoy
  12. Completely hear what you say Dan, I've not driven one however if an M3 had to make do with 60hp less would it be able to keep up with a 350z round a track like the above? Obviously not, so how can it in performance terms be far superior? Just trying to understand your comments from a performance POV.
  13. Yes but price when new was 40k, a good fair wack more than a 350z in 2004....... Like comparing directly the price of a 09 Focus ST and a same yr Golf R a glance. From 8mins for giggles....
  14. Whilst on the subject, I do struggle to see the 'far superior' car thought pattern. Just to add I've sat behind a M3 being driven very well round Silverstone national and it weren't getting away at all. Similar weight and giving up cicra 60hp, I weren't blown away. Also around the Nurburgring taking into consideration acceleration, braking, high speed corners, low speed corners - it's all of 4 seconds faster over the 13 miles..... Reliability, we all know the horror stories of the S54 and rear subframe. It's not a far superior car. Subjective I know, but they don't sound a patch on the VQ35 either.... Either the Z33 goes rounds bends faster or is better on the brakes. Saying as i see it.....
  15. Please explain as I don't see this.....
  16. Spotted this little beauty this morning
  17. The point I was trying to make is while to sum the M3 might be a better car, a better car doesn't mean every sports car owner is going to look to buy an M3. It's currently not the case so it's only speculation that will happen in the future for one particular make. And I do believe the success not the 350z has helped Nissan with the project before the R35 GTR. As does every manufacturers previous performance car, help the next model inline.
  18. Yes however come Japfest somehow we rock up in 100+ zeds every year....... We currently aren't choosing M3's so......... I think what can have an influence on car prices 20+ years after they've stopped being made is not only the car itself but the story along with it. I think the 350z has a real story behind it. It sold in the bucket loads all over the globe for a reason. It helped jump start performance Nissan's again after the R34 GTR production had ended and there'd possibly be no 370z ( or similar) or R35 GTR had the 350z not did as well as it did for Nissan. It was and is a major success story for the company and I'm happy to be proven wrong if the 370z has a better tale. The Mk6 Golf GTi is probably better than the Mk5 in every measurable way, however it'll be the Mk5 that will be remembered for kick starting the GTi off gain for VW. Tbf already the Mk6 is overshadowed by the MK5, in another 5 yrs and I doubt the mk6 will be the one to buy.
  19. Interested in these tyres for my newly acquired 19' so will be keeping an eye on your review of the PS91's fella.
  20. So pretty much how you have the torque wrench set for lug nuts
  21. ^ if that's the way you enjoy ownership, that's great for you
  22. Welkom back!! I've heard that before as the Z33 is bespoke, the e46 is a fast version of a very boring rep mobile as is the e92 imo.
